      I have worked in banking all my life and I can tell you the moment I got a card from this bank I knew something was off. And then it happened. I had a charge that I disputed, called their Customer Sevice which is completely circular in logic and reason. They kept transferring me from department to dept, then had me feel ok I now have finally after 2.5 hrs filed my dispute to the charge. Voila! One month later I have a late fee on that charge, when I call them they said I never called to dispute. After 2 hrs of getting juggled and hearing circular answers, I hang up and pay the disputed charge online. Guess what! They charge me a late fee on TOP of their wrongly charged late fee. Talk about pyramid schemes!

      After reading these reviews, I too can relate. It's been a year since my credit card was hacked. I was told by my bank that Barclays was trying to get over $14,000 out of my account as a payment on my credit card with AARP/Barclays. I did not have that amount in my account or did I have that amount on the credit card. I called to talk to them and the nightmare began. They had allowed another person to add their name and purchases on to my account without my authorization, which they admitted to doing. It took them close to 9 months just to get these fraudulent charges taken off. I told them on day 1 that I would not pay late fees or interest on the amount I owed until the account was cleared. I even closed out this account and they sent me a new card, which a week later they called and said this new card was hacked from someone overseas. I told them to close this card and I did not want any card from them. Just today, we reached an agreement to get my account settled. Truly it's been 12 months almost to the day getting rid of the SOB's I have never dealt with such a place with no restraints on it's personnel and such a shabby unprofessional way of doing business. I had the card from AARP for years and and no problem until they merged with Barclays. Steer clear of Barclays at all cost or it will end up costing you more than you know.

      I applied for a jet blue plus card and barclays is by worst in treating new applicants. Jet blue plus card has an offer for points adter spending 1k dollars and paying yearly fee within first 90 days. Having a credit score of over 800 and no hard inquiries they do not send email confirmation once application is submitted. I had to contact them where they requested mailed copies of drivers license,so document and bank statement. After overnighting these documents they still took days to look into it. Once they recieved documents they attempted to state that the bank statement could not be confirmed. Sidenote I sent two bank statements not just one. After speaking to multiple people I gave in and sent them additional information such as passport photo and other utility and bank statements. Even with this still took them days to look into. After finally being approved they only approve applicant for only 1k limit. Unfortunately in today's day in age flights for 2 people such as my wife an I will be more than 1k. I asked about what the limit was so low as all my cards have high limits and they could not respond. I stated I wanted to speak with the credit department and response was they do not want to take the call and the only thing that can be done is wait an additional 7 to 10 days to receive my card and call to ask for a credit increase. This is absurd in javing to do all this. Major credit cards such as mastercard,visa and even my amex gold card was a smooth process. Barclays application process felt as if I was being scammed . Horrible.

      Barclays let's merchants charge your card without your signature. Even after you submit proof you were not there, time or place, and did not authorize. I'll be needing to send letters to who governs them, and get it moving. I don't think their overseas staff understand, what you say, nor truly investigate or stand up for the customers.

      I opened an account with Barclay in 2015.. since then I have made every payment on time and in full.. I have never paid any interest.. and out of nowhere my credit line is reduced by 75%.. doing the right thing doesn't get you anywhere.. my two Barclay cards have been my primary credit cards.. not anymore.. what a trash company.

      I closed my credit card about 5 years ago. Then, I received notification they did a hard credit pull. I have not applied for another card. I am not sure why they pulled my credit. I want answers!!

      I have a credit card with Barclays, very very poor support provided. I had a fraudulent charge, for which my card was blocked for security reasons. Upon calling to inquire, my card was unblocked without my authorization, leaving me open to further fraudulent charges.

      After this, being under the assumption that my card was locked, I called Barclays to unlock my account, and learned that it had been unlocked, without my authorization. At this point, the representative locks my account, without my consent once again.

      I spoke with a manager, shared my experience, and informed him that my account was now locked. He proceeded to ask me if I would like for him to lock my account.

      Very frustrating experience, poor customer service. I do not feel they have an interest in protecting their customers. I have closed my account.

      Bait and switch: gave me a higher credit limit and then lowered my limit for no legitimate reason twice. This is insulting.. will payoff my balance next month and close out my account.

      While completing my check-in for my Carnival cruise 8/17-/8/22, there was a message that said "Earn Points by using your Carnival Rewards Mastercard. If you use your Carnival Rewards Mastercard you will earn 8 Carnival Rewards Points for every dollar spent onboard." - I have a screenshot of this. So i used my Carnival MC, EXCLUSIVELY, to the tune of over $9000 because of points! When I got my statement, I noticed that I was given 1X the points, which was surprising when i was expecting way more. So i got online and chatted them. I was told I would have to call in, so i did. I didn't get the name of the person the 1st time, but was told they would look into it. That must have been around 8/27 as I got a letter from Barclay dated 8/28 saying they couldn't research, more information was needed. So on 9/11, I called back in and spoke with Abby. She told me that she opened a case and that it would take 5-7 days to research. Fine. i called back yesterday 9/18 and spoke with Allie. she told me that it was still in research, to please call back. Last night when i got the mail, i got ANOTHER letter from you dated 9/12, saying again that you needed more information to proceed. SERIOUSLY!? I had called that day and Allie never mentioned anything. So i reached out again today (via their facebook page because I was tired of the BS lies when i called in) to see what's going on. I provided a copy of the screenshot of their offer. Imagine my surprise when the rep via chat tells me that the case was CLOSED ON 9/12 and I need to open another case by calling in or sending a message. They refuse to honor their offer and keep giving me the runaround.

      I am writing to express my deep frustration with the ongoing dispute regarding my reservation cancellation and the subsequent refusal to refund my payment. My experience with their customer service and dispute resolution team has been incredibly disappointing. The representatives, including managers and analysts, have not resolved my issue and continually defer responsibility without providing a clear solution.
      As a long-time customer of the Miles & More credit card (Lufthansa), I expected a higher level of service and support. Instead, I have encountered a team that appears more interested in protecting the vendor than the customer. The stance that I am not entitled to a refund because I supposedly checked a non-refundable box is unreasonable and deeply concerning. I canceled my reservation on the same day and did not receive the service I paid for, yet their team insists on supporting the vendor, effectively allowing them to keep my money for services they never provided.
      This situation raises serious ethical concerns. It suggests that the company is enabling vendors to retain funds for canceled services, which is not only unfair but also feels like a violation of consumer trust. I believed that I could rely on Miles & More to protect my interests as a customer, but this experience has severely eroded my confidence in their service.
