  Very pleased after my first encounter with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Austin G was wonderful, he arrived earlier than scheduled time, very polite, & knowledgeable. I received a text regarding earlier arrival time, & then a follow up phone call when he was closer. Pricing was quite reasonable. Would definitely use them again, & recommend to others.

  I found my new plumbing company. I can’t speak for everyone; however, Forrest from Benjamin Franklin the Punctual Plumber, was good-natured and professional. I didn’t actually need his services for this service call (my valves were in good condition); however, I do plan on using him for my future plumbing projects, and will definitely recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing as a company.

  I had a leaking T&P value in my water heater. I called Benjamin Frankin Plumbing for help, because their contact information was on the water heater. **** **** came and suggested that I replace the whole water heater as it is already 10 years old. He said the tank can fail anytime and can cause flooding in my house. He said he will be able to take care of it the same day and will be installed to the city code. He initially gave me a quote of around 4,000 dollars. I told him it is too much and then he spoke with someone and lowered the price to $2,500.81. He said he need 25% upfront to get the process started. I gave him $645 as deposit. After Mike left, I did a quick research and found out the amount mentioned to be was way too much as compared to others. I called Benjamin Franklin back and told them it was too much and I don't want to change the water heater with them and asked them to refund my deposit. **** **** told me that the deposit is nonrefundable. I was in shock. He never mentioned anything about it. He just had me singed on the ipad. He said you signed the document; I told him there was nothing mentioned or shown about nonrefundable. He said well you signed the document so either you forfeit the deposit or continue with the replacement. Since $645 is lots of money, I agreed to proceed. Installation was completed. My city inspector came to inspect and told me that the water heater supposed to have automatic shut off value installed in it as that is the city code. He failed the inspection and told me Benjamin Franklin is fully aware of this requirement. I called them back and they said that they will come to discuss this. Just now **** **** came and told me that he was not aware of this requirement and asking me to pay $691 to add the shutoff valve. I checked for the valve and it costs only $161 dollars. I told him I am never going to fall for his trick and asked him to leave my house.
