1 starHAD TO GIVE THEM A 1 STAR, BUT REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO!!!!!!!! Worst Home Service ever, no one seems to know the 180-day repair policy, this is my second time having to write about Cinch, and their employees, we paid the $100.00 service fee on June 30 to have our AC fixed, it took them almost 3 weeks to even get someone out there to do the job, I had to let them know that I had a 87 year old mother in the house with no ac and I had to go and purchase a $500.00 unit just to keep the upstairs cool because she is unable to move around, and now 2 months later and the same thing has happen, but I was refuse to have my recall because my monthly payment was not made because of banking error, I told Vence who is supposed to be supervisor about the 180 day service return if the unit fail to work and he told me that I need to make the monthly payment or they would not come and service my unit which was already paid for, I have been with Cinch for over 5 years and when you need them one seems to know their job, and this is not the first time that I have gone through this with Cinch before, I have 3 other homes that I have service with them and I am now going to stop using them, I cannot continue to pay for a bunch of incompetent people that I have to keep telling them their job and also to be told no I can't speak to an higher up supervisor, all of the employees at Cinch need to go back to training and read the contract about their service especially about the 180 day repair service contract. Also, Cinch is not the only Home Warranty Company out there, First American is a lot better than Cinch because I also dealt with them, I only switch to Cinch because of COVIT, and not knowing that Cinch was Cross County and not Sears, and I will be moving my other 3 contract to First American Home Warranty can't and won't continue to deal with Cinch. My money may not break them, but it will not continue to help them.Review fromApril b

1 starI switched to Cinch from *** in January 2024 Because I was approached at **** Club from a cinch ***. *** their monthly price was cheaper.I submitted my 1st claim/service order on Sept 16 for my oven temp control k*** and paid $120 deductible. Cinch sent out a company called Carries appliance on Sept 17, the *** told me they would order the part and it will take a week or a week and a half to come in.I received a call from a Cinch *** on Sept 20 and 25 advising me they were waiting on the diagnostic ***ort from Carries. I told the *** this was unacceptable! She said she was going to reach out to the area manager about this and get back to me the next day.I asked her why was my service order closed but my stove is still not fixed. She said because Carries appliance was not able to get the part. So she sent my account to her research department to advise what the next steps are.She called me back this morning and said based on the ***ort from Carries appliance the research ***** said my stove problem isnt covered.I said HOW did the research department base it off the ***ort from Carries appliance when you all NEVER received the diagnostic ***ort ?? she said shes doesnt know but the research department told her since my issue is not mechanical and is structural so its not covered.??However Page 11 #4 of my warranty documents says this agreement does not cover failures, which may result from causes other than normal wear and tear without limitation and there are several limitations listed as well as structural and/or property damage.I told her a stove knob/shaft is NOT considered structural. It broke from normal wear and tear!I requested to talk to a supervisor, but of course she said no one was available but she put in a request for somebody to call me back within 24 to 48 ******** I previously advised I switched to Cinch from American home Shield and this is my 1st claim. I should have never switched. ??Review fromJames C

1 starThe first Home Warrantly claim we ever filed for Cinch was when our refrigerator stopped working, in May, it took them 6 months and 7 visits from ***** (whose repairman never seemed very competent) to finally agree to replace the fridge for us in October. In that time we suffered as a family without cold food or refrigeration, Cinch was completely indifferent and uncaring about our health and safety. I made dozens of calls about the safety factor and all went unheard. All calls went to the Phillippines to the Cinch call center and the responses were scripted and unemotional. The lack of oversight, connective business and parts tracking, were stunningly poor. I have never worked with a less organized company. No repairman knew what the other had done, none could successfully repair a 15 year old refrigerator and Cinch didn't seem the least concerned about months elapsing about my lack of refrigeration, Stay away from Cinch!Review fromMARIANNE W

1 starCinch sent me a coverage summary for plumbing and I never signed up for it. They had my name, address, phone number, they gave me a plan number and a monthly cost and deductible, with a 10 page detailed agreement that I never agreed to. I had never heard of this company until I got this in the mail and the paperwork showed me having an active account. I called them to cancel and the person on the other line was very difficult to understand and slow in meeting my request to cancel. He also told me I was signed up for this through my gas company, ****. I went into that account and don't see anything about them. This has got to be a scam.Review fromKyle H

1 starAbsolutely worthless company. Reading through these reviews leaves me sad... exact same thing has happened to me with my washing machine. My case is still not resolved. Terrible customer **********************, seemingly all outsourced to *****, or stateside Indian call centers. Very hard to understand...they respond to anything you say as if reading a script. It is exhausting speaking to them.First, I have a laundry washer/dryer unit that is a combo, all controls are on the dryer. It's one single appliance with one power cable and they tried to treat it as two separate service requests with two separate deductibles. Two separate **********s came out and both recommended replacement because the unit was 28 years old. The second ********** warned me Cinch is known to find used parts on **** without notifying the customer or **********. At the start of every single phone call with these emotionless call center script readers, they fail to see, or log the fact that the second ********** has already showed up and recommended replacement. Like robots they blame it on me, saying I'm the one who needs to schedule the appointment. I did, our man showed up, our man filed the report recommending replacement, and our man spoke with the authorization team. I have to go through this song and dance every time I call, no joke. If you're still not convinced after all these reviews... do yourself a favor, just take $700 or so in cash and flush it down the toilet. You'll be investing in a headache-free future.Review frommike R

1 starI have had cinch for about a year. Made 2 requests for service.1st was for an over the range microwave that quit working. after about a week I got an email telling me that I would have to take care of it myself because they can't find anyone to replace it. This is after I paid the $120.00 deductible. They said they would reimbusrse me (just a portion) of the cost. I had to use ******* to install the one I bought from them. Cinch paid me about 1/2 of what it cost me plus I paid the deductible. Also, I had to agree that the new microwave would not be covered by Cinch after it was installed. 2nd. The fan on my AC froze up during a very hot spell here in ********, 95 to 105 temps and hight humidity. after 3 weeks a service man came and dertermined that it was the fan motor. Duh!. It took 2 more weeks for him to come back and install it. I asked was it that hard to find the motor? He told me that it was getting an approval to order the motor and it came quickly but the approval was the hold up. I had to pay the $120.00 deductible as soon as I requested service, wait for 5 weeks for repairs and I had to buy 2 portable AC ($1500.00) units to have a bedroom we could sleep in and 1 room to be in and not sweat to death. Forget cooking, even with fans our home outside of the 2 rooms averaged 85+ degrees. This company has only 1 concern and it is not the customer, it is the bottom line. I realize they have to make money to stay in business but sometimes you have to take care of the customer and take a little loss.I wonder if it was below freezing and something went wrong with my heat system would they care if it took 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 weeks for repairs? The way they treated me, I seriously doubt they would fix it sooner with someone local, it might cost a couple of bucks ******* understanding is that they use ***** Home Service and you are at their mercy. I have cancelled my cinch service and I would not reccomend it to anyone.Review fromMary H

1 star**** *******,I called Cinch to report a claim for my **** Blower that burned. I initially called August 22, 2024 to report my issue and paid my $150.00 deductible. I received a response within an hour in reference to there were no one in the ************, LA area to service the **** problem and that I had approval to find a company to fix the problem. I sent in all the necessary documentation after finally getting a certified **** person on September 9, 2024. The approval letter stated within 24 hours after submitting all documents I will hear back on the approval to proceed with the work. After I didn't hear back I called on September 11, 2024 and resubmitted the paperwork. I have been calling every day in reference to what's going on. I called September 18, 2024 and was told I would hear something by Friday, September 20, 2024 or by Monday, September 23, 2024. Didn't hear back from no one. I called today Monday, September 23, 2024 and got the run around from ******* and manager **** saying two different things. One said I need itemize list for a blower that is one piece and the other said I need to list the cause of failure. By the way, I have been out my house for almost a month. Every time I called the Supporting team they would say I need more time. Now today because I was so mad these 2 people has some feedback, No one from the supporting team that gives the approval has not contacted by email. This is not fair to me that this situation is taking so long. Every month they have no problem taking my premiums. My brother has the same warranty company and that is why I went with this company. I am not a happy customer at this point.**************************************, **Review fromClay M

1 starThis company is a scam. I had a water leak at my home. I called Cinch to to report it and verify that it was covered. Cinch confirmed that yes it is covered under my warranty. They asked me to wait for up to ************************************************************ to schedule the repair. After a day went by they reached out to me to say that they do not have a plumber in the area that can make the repair. They said that I should reach out to a plumber directly and schedule getting the work done but they would reimburse me. I contacted a licensed plumbing company and they came out a few days later on September 4th. They found a yard hydrant was leaking. At that point I called Cinch and spoke to their service **** I let them know that this is where the leak was happening and they said yes please proceed and that they would refund me once the work was complete so long as I submitted the invoice from this plumbing company that did the repairs. I did exactly what they requested. After a few days I received an email stating they "were still trying to locate a plumber to do the repairs". I called them and let them know that work had already been completed and reminded them that I had already spoke with them about the work and that I had already submitted the invoice for reimbursement. The representative confirmed they saw that I had submitted everything needed and that they would be emailing with reimbursement info within 3 days. They did not email within three days instead it's been over 2 weeks. As of this morning I received an email saying that they would not be reimbursing me because the work that was completed was outside of the walls of my home. I have called them today to explain that they had told me from the start that would reimburse me based on the fact that I called and got the authorization to do the work. This morning I have been on hold for over an hour and been hung up on twice as they have been "transferring me to a Supervisor". Please help me BBB!Review fromDerek P

1 starMy mother currently has Cinch Home Services and currently in her house without A/C. She has asthma and is currently sitting in her home of 88 degrees. She is sitting in her home due to Cinch's inability to deploy a technician in a timely manner and repair her A/C. When a tech is scheduled, it is a 4 hour window... that she must be at/in home to allow access, exacerbating the issue, and even then they do not always show up. She reported the issue on 9/14/2024 and the issue is still ongoing. Cinch is aware of her issue however, seem to give her the "run around" and not actually expediting the work order due to her medical condition. Cinch goes through ***** Home Services HVAC repair and surprisingly, neither Cinch nor ***** seem to have a 24/7 emergency services or weekend hours for medical issues. I'm writing this review has physical proof for future reference should my mom have a medical emergency. For the safety of your loved ones, do not use Cinch Home Services.Review fromPenny M

1 starI have been a customer of ********************** Home ****************** for several years. Customer ********************** lacks the ability to provide answers, takes too long to respond, and does not care about the customer. I had two claims, my refrigerator took 10 weeks to repair due to their technician's misdiagnoses. We had to purchase a used refrigerator for the garage while we waited for the repair process. The second claim was the ** which also took weeks while we experienced triple digit temperatures. Again we had to purchase window units to survive the heat. When we called to check status we were told it was being reviewed and there was no time frame for a decision. When I asked to speak with the supporting documents team that was reviewing it I was told they had no direct line of communication with them and all they could do was send an email and wait for a response. Every phone number including that of corporate sends you to the automated system so you have no means of escalation. I have taken my business to another warranty company and will make sure to advise anyone who asks not to utilize Cinch for their home warranty needs as it only ends up costing the consumer more than just their monthly premium
