1 starI have had Cinch home services since August of 2020. I have had to call on at least 4 occasions to get service (if you can call what Cinch does "service". Each call is nothing short of a nightmare. Either they don't have a service provider in my area (I live in a fairly large city) or getting the service provider to actually show up is a whole task in itself involving a handful of extremely infuriating phone calls. The good news is when they don't have a service provider you get to do everything yourself !! You get to locate a service provider, Pay the service provider, follow an extremely difficult regiment of rules that seems designed for you to fail to deny you coverage. If you are able to complete their long list requirements, you just might get reimbursed weeks after the service... MIGHT !!I asked their customer ********************** *** and manager both "what is it that I actually pay for?" and neither had a reasonable answer. So, if you like to spend money and then fight round and round with a company to do what they are actually supposed to do. I highly suggest you sign a contract with Cinch home Services. You will not be disappointed. If this was an isolated incident, I would not have taken the time to make a review, but it's been every time. This Company should be put out of business due to their unethical business practices and scamming customers out money.Review fromKevin H

I am in the process of selling my townhouse. Upon signing the broker agreement I also purchased a home protection plan that is supposed to cover any failures of the appliances and systems of my home for both myself and the potential buyers. I signed the agreement on July 16, 2024. On August 26, 2024, I noticed that my water heater had started to leak. I immediately called the warranty company, Cinch Home Services, to open a claim. The warranty company informed me that they did not have a policy for my townhouse. The broker sent proof that the agreement was transmitted to the company on July 18, 2024. Cinch realized and admitted their error and put my policy into effect on August 24, 2024. I was told to wait an hour to make my claim so they could put my policy into their system. I called an hour later to open my claim and was told a contractor would be contacting me. The contractor contacted me and I paid the required $200 insurance deductible. The contractor came the next day, looked at my water heater and said only that I needed a new water heater. Following the visit, I was told my claim was denied because of visible corrosion. This was actually on a pipe above the water heater and had nothing to do with the functioning of the water heater itself. The policy states that “Unknown pre-existing failures are covered, provided the failure could not have been detected by a visual inspection or simple mechanical test”. The were no visible signs of failure and the water heater was functioning properly until it started to leak. Subsequent to the rejection of my claim, I spoke with a manager at Cinch and was told that my claim was denied because I submitted it one hour after the policy went into effect. I was also told there was obvious corrosion (on the pipe above the water heater, not the water heater itself) and was a second reason the claim was denied. It is obvious to me that this is a **** insurance company and should not be used by my broker or anyone else.Review fromRoy F

1 starGas Water heater went out day before Labor Day, and filed claim and paid the $120 deductible immediately to get in the system, everything was going smooth with service provider, a local plumbing company, was going to have new water heater installed by that Thursday afternoon, until the plumbing company realizes the warranty company ordered an electric water heater, ok no big deal, lets get it switched out, no big deal, unless your Cinch Warranty company, who wants to make a new request and research and this and that that will take another 3 to 5 business days so on and so forth, ok thats too long I need my deductible back, no you cant have it back, we sent a provider over who diagnosed the problem but you guys didnt resolve the problem, you made it worse by ordering the wrong water heater and your wanting me to go on another week without hot water for my home, I put gas from when I made the claim, every response from Cinch has GAS on their responses/updates, its like they ordered the wrong one on purpose so I can give up I get it done myself to keep my deductible, on top of the deductible I had to pay a non covered fee for $630 to the provider which is the price for a water heater, they are a scam, I hope their representative doesnt approach me at **** club again I will let everyone in **** club know they are a scam, Ill email **** club top people know theyre dealing with crooksReview fromSam I

1 starCINCH HOME SERVICES is absolutely the worst company to join!!! We had a problem with our Heating and A/C unit in June and the company they sent said we need a motor and compressor. CINCH HOME SERVICES ordered the motor and compressor. After 3 days the service company called us to tell us the motor was received but not the compressor but they would install the motor so that we could have A/C. The temperature outside has been in the mid to upper 90's. The motor was replaced and our A/C was working. In August the unit stopped working again and we once again called CINCH HOME SERVICES. After 3 days CINCH HOME SERVICES emailed me that they could not get a service company to come so therefore I could call the company of my choice. I called a service company and they said that because of the age of the unit (17 years old) a new Heating and A/C unit was required and they gave me a proposal of $10,583.00. I sent CINCH HOME SERVICES the proposal and had the unit replaced. when I informed CINCH HOME SERVCIES the unit was replaced the asked for breakdown of the costs. So I sent them the breakdown and a few days letter they sent me an email informing me they were reimbursing me $2,051.56. I wrote an email to ***** ****** the CEO and he had someone look into our claim. Today I received a call from CINCH HOME SERVICES informing me that they would only reimburse me $3,550.00. I immediately canceled my membership with them and posted this review. CINCH HOME SERVICES IS A VERY DISHONORABLE COMPANY AND THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICE IS TERRIBLE.Review fromO. B

1 starZero star required...After reading a few of the reviews I concur with the reviewers' contentions regarding services not rendered. This has to do with my non-working washing machine since July 2. The audacity of these companies are troubling. And just like **** said, they would not refund my $100 deductible for doing absolutely nothing. I am sick to my stomach for what I have been put through with this company.Review fromRaymundo H

1 starI had my AC unit stop working on a Sunday morning during one of the worst heat waves in *********, i thought i was going to be OK since i have and pay for a home warranty through Cinch Home services. But that false sense of security was short lived, first thing they schedule a tech to come out 15 days out from when i called, i Called back soon after getting a confirmation email from the service company, i call back Cinch and they start with the excuses, please call us back tomorrow because we cant find anybody that works on the weekend, had a bad feeling about it so i immediately go to home depo and buy a portable AC Unit. I call Monday morning and they find someone else to come out that i had to call myself. I call and they tell me they are a week out before they could help me not acceptable so i call back and they tell me that they already called and that is the best they can do. We finally get them to come out on Friday,, (Average temp in ***** is 117 that week house is at 99 degrees) they make their technical assessment and send it back to Cinch, at this point i would guess they get it and move on as quickly as possible because they are so concerned about my situation, and boy was i wrong every step forward was fallowed by 48hrs of review by cinch and no solution 8 days without AC and they are still not doing anything to resolve my issue. Pets are suffering family is isolated to bedroom with Portable AC unit to survive, and Cinch no sigh of urgency to help out.they kept directing me to the wedsite for answers that was not once updated. I could not go any longer without AC and dealing with people that had no problem charging me every month but when i needed the service i paid for dis absolutely nothing, I take that back they refunded me the money for the temp unit that i bought cause i had a bad feeling about this company, i broke down called a ********** had them out the next day and installed a brand new unit on my roof the next day. Cinch Did nothing.Review fromLarry R

1 starCinch is a scam. Submitted claim for AC repair on 8.12.24. Their *** provider provided diagnosis and est to Cinch on 8.13.24. Cinch denied the claim without notifying me the customer. On ****************************** give approval for ME to find another svc provider and to provide Cinch with copy of est and diagnosis. I submitted said docs 4 time and got CONFIRMING emails from Cinch that docs were recvd. Every time I followed up with Cinch by phone, customer svc said docs were not recvd AND refused to let me speak with anyone in claims. I finally gave up and had my own provider do the work ($1425+) out of my pocket. Cinch would not cancel my contract before 9.28.24 expiration date even though I feel the contract is null and void due ro their non performance.Review fromJacob M

1 starI have been trying to get my refrigerator freezer which was leaking and getting snow over everything inside since July. Someone came on July 23 but the freezer leaked the next day. I then had appointments which they auto scheduled for July 31, August *******,and 28 which were all no shows. I got no texts , no email or calls about why dates were changed. I called after each no show and got various lies. I finally decided to cancel but I was told that I cant get my $100 deductible back for a job that they didnt complete. Also the phone service is very difficult to navigate to talk to a human. All **** read the same script. This is a very disappointing service since the original ***** warranty was great. So sad! **** *.
