On June 25, 2025 this company took $44.99 from my account without my authorization. I have never heard of this company and never requested the service. I dont know how they got my account information. I simply want a refund and a cancellation of this account.Business Response

On May 23, 2025, I was calling my credit card company to make a payment for my vehicle. It took a couple of calls for the call to go through, and when they finally picked up, it seemed like the credit card company. I told them I wanted to make a payment, and they began to ask me for the information to make a payment. They told me that they needed my bank information to make the payment, and as I thought this was my credit card company, I told them, and then I was placed on hold, and the line dropped. Then I recalled them to the same number (credit card company), and I told them about what had just occurred, and they continued trying to make the payment, and they asked me for the last 4 of my social. After giving them the bank information, they told me that I was going to get a free subscription to ID Guard. When I told them I didn't want it or need it, I just wanted to make a payment, they kept pushing and then began to ask strange questions, like pet names, and that's when I realized it was a scam and hung up immediately. I recalled the same number a couple of minutes later, and the real company answered. I told the lady what had occurred, and she was like Yeah, no, we don't offer those services and she was nice enough to inform me that I could have been scammed and to call my bank. The first charge came to my account through a 'pre-approved check' for $3.49, and then on June 20, another check appeared on my account for $44.99. I have tried contacting the company (ID Guard LLC), but they do not answer, and I have sent emails and have not received a word from them. I just want this service canceled so I'm not being charged anymore.Business Response

ID Guard sent 7 checks to my bank for payment while I was locked up for 7 months with no way to monitor my account. None of this was every authorized or requested but put my account in overdraft I want to report them as a scam and want to fight to be reimbursed charges not even counting the overdraft fees.Business Response

On June 12, 2025, I thought I was calling my gym membership to reinstate my account. The automated response did not identity who I called & only said to press "1" to speak to a person. A person answered & asked why I was calling. I said I needed information to reinstate my gym membership. I was told they would need to verify my account in order to reinstate. I was asked to verify my address, email, & bank routing & account number. The information was verified & I was provided a confirmation number to provide to the gym & was told I would be receiving an email with confirmation info. Never received any email or info. On June 19, 2025, I identified an unknown electronic check of $3.49 from IDGuardLLC in my bank account. I called the same number I called previously for the gym membership & told the them I had an unknown charge of $3.49. I was asked for my confirmation number which I provided & was asked to verify my name. I said that i had previously called about my gym ************** never signed up for anything or authorized any charges. The person hung up the phone on me. I found information online for ***************************** & called that number & said that i didnt sign up for any *********** didnt want anything from this company. I was told they were canceling my account & provided a confirmation ********** I would receive an email with a confirmation number. I was told no additional charges should occur. I requested a refund of the $3.49 & was told they could email a $5 gift card. I said no to the gift card & asked for a refund. I was told a check could be mailed but couldnt refund my money electronically. I asked for a supervisor & was provided ****** ******* with customer ID 675. Was told he cancelled my account & deleted my information & provided a different confirmation number. He said can't refund my money but could mail a check or provide a gift card by email. ******* has initiated a fraud investigation. I am rejecting this response because I have never received the requested email confirmation that I have been promised on three separate occasions from this business nor the refund check. I also want to make sure no additional money is fraudulently withdrawn from my bank account. I never knowingly signed up for anything with this company. They pose as legitimate companies and trick people and fraudulently obtain private information to steal money from unsuspecting customers. This illegitimate company's public history with other individuals as well as myself causes me not to trust anything they say because they have continuously lied to me. I'm having to close my bank account because this company has compromised my account with fraudulent charges. This is a fraudulent company and I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission, the Florida Attorney General's office, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Florida Department of Law Enforcement. A police report is also being filed with the local sheriff's office.

ID Guard LLC submitted a check of theirs to our bank account on June 18 in the amount of $3.49 for customer service call. We were given their number by car dealership who said it was for Experian. They took our personal information and we did not sign up or commit to anything after realizing they were not Experian. We did not authorize a payment to them. When calling them they try and give you scam numbers for gifts and other items. Our concerns are them continuing to submit unauthorized checks to our account!!!Business Response

Saw a pending charge made to my bank account via check from IDGuard LLC, I never wrote a check to this company, and they created one and cashed it at my bank. A week prior, I had misdialed a number, thinking I was calling ****** regarding my ****** account, and gave my bank info to this company under false pretenses, and when I realized it wasnt ******* I called them back immediately, as did my husband, informing them we didnt want any services or anything from them. My husband questioned what the service was and they said its for a free gift card, and he again declined. They still made an unauthorized charge to my bank regardless.Business Response

My checking account recently received a few electronic checks. I reached out to my bank, and they told me the first one was on 5/09/25 from ID Guard LLC for $3.49. I didn't notice the first electronic check in my account. In June 2025, I was surprised when I noticed a few checks had been cashed from my checking account. On 06/03, a company named ************************** took out $44.99; on 06/09, a company named *************** took $41.27; and on 06/11, a company named ************ took $39.95! The total amount is $129.70. I filed a complaint at *******. To me, this amount of $129.70 is significant! I did not give anyone permission to do this. I did not sign up for any of these accounts. It is not a case of buyer's remorse when I have no idea what I purchased! This is not fair for someone to go into my account and just take my money! I called all the customer care numbers on the check but only reached them at one. They are not canceling my subscription, which I did not make; rather, they keep talking about their ******** service. I was asked to wait 5 business days, and they will send me a welcoming package. Once I get the welcoming package, then I call them! It is clearly a scam that involves taking money from my account without permission. I want it to stop taking money, and I want a full refund. Can you help at all? Saw a charge on my checking account. When I contacted ID Guard around 5/16 and requested the service be cancelled and a refund of fee charged to my account. Was advised that i would be sent details of services they offered and if I still wanted to cancel I should call back in. On 6/11 I called back to informed them since I have never received any details of their services I wanted to cancel the services and requested a refund. I was then informed the $3.49 was shipping fee that was not refundable.Since nothing was shipped /received about their services at my address.
