I have called Two different numbers for id gaurd llc and gone to my bank and the have done the same one says they can't find my account other one says they will cancel I want my account to be canceled and stop being charge and need proof it will not be done anymore.Business Response

Like most, I signed up for 'something' offering discounts, but there was NO mention of charges or even what kind of company you are. Then, like most, I found $3.49 sucked out of my CHECKING account: I did NOT give you the name of my BANK, the ROUTING number or, especially, the ACCOUNT NUMBER! so that alone was enough to spook me. I called immediately and after a lot of argument I was given a cancellation # (*****), but I still don't see any refund. I would like a refund and also would like ALL my private banking info taken OUT of your files: I do not want another situation like this. You should not use private info. BE UP FRONT. On April 17, 2025 I called what I thought was my credit card company regarding a late charge and somehow was connected to someone evidently representing a bogus company. A person who indicated their name was ****** or ******* pretended to be my credit card company and stated they would remove the late charge from my credit card bill. The person insisted they needed my bank information where the credit card was paid from. Not realizing this was a scam and having just had a death in my family, I provided the information and reluctantly said yes to receiving a confirmation number to remove the charge. The call quickly disconnected. I tried calling my credit card company back but was informed they did not show any call from me that morning. I then notified my bank of a possible fraud situation. Fortunately my bank caught the first bogus "pre-authorized check" from ID Guard, LLC and rejected the charge. The scam check from ID Guard LLC was dated April 21, 2025 in the amount of $3.49. The check number was ****** reflecting an account number ******* on the face of the check. There was a misspelling of my name also. I have never heard of this company and never knowingly signed up for any service from them. They are a complete scam and fraud. ******* is currently investigating and on alert for any other fraudulent transactions from ID Guard LLC, or any company affiliated with them. I am requesting never to be contacted in any manner, or make any attempt to extract money or payment from me by this company or any company affiliated with them. If they are successful in receiving any money from my account I am requesting a full immediate refund and will notify the federal authorities. I am also requesting that any account they or any company affiliated with them have set up related to me be cancelled immediately. I have NOT authorized any payments to them and not received any benefit from this company.Their methods are outrageous and criminal. This is fraud.Business Response

On April ******* an unauthorized check appeared on my checking account from this company. I notified my bank's fraud department. I then called the company phone number *************) and spoke to a representative explaining that I had never signed up for their service asking how they got my bank information. The representative never answered my question but continued to explain their services. My bank reversed the check on April 21, 2025, then I went through the process of closing my checking account. Today, May 6, 2025, I received a letter from Id Guard welcoming me as a member. I'm reluctant to call them again as my last attempt was unsuccessful.Business Response

I was charged $3.49 to my checking account. When I called them, they said that I called them in April and accepted a $100.00 gift certificate to review their plan and would be charged the initial $3.49 but I never called them and I never give out my bank account information over the phone to anyone. When I contacted them, the operator told me to wait for their information pack and look it over and if I want to cancel I can. Then I asked, what happens if I don't cancel and she said I would be charged $38.00 a month for membership. If I didn't catch this initial $3.39 cent charge and not canceled they would have started billing me with that monthly $38.00 charge. I never signed up for service with this company nor have ever heard of them. I was reviewing my bank statements and noticed multiple "checks" electronically written with check numbers that were 6 digits long vs the chronological sequence of checks I've written. They were from 2 companies, ID Guard LLC and ***************. There were phone numbers listed on the checks so I called to try to cancel. Savers Club let me cancel and gave me a cancellation number, but when I tried ID Guard LLC, they won't let me cancel. I never signed up for either of these and want my money refunded and subscription I never signed up for cancelled.Charges were on 3/31/25 for $3.49, 4/23/25 for $44.99, and 4/29/25 for $41.27.After doing some research, these companies are related and are most definitely scams.Business Response

I am a 75 year old retired man on a limited income and noticed a few odd withdrawals from my checking account. The bank calls them auto-checks or something like that. The first one was on 1/31/25 from ID Guard LLC for $3.49. Then on 2/18 a company named *************** took out $41.27, On 2/28 that ID Guard took $44.99 and a company named ************ took $39.95. On 3/24 again *********** took $41.27 and ID Guard took $44.99. On 3/28 ************ took $39.95. Then on 04/15 another company got involved named ************************* and took $29.95 and an international fee of 0.30. The last time they took money was on 04/22 and ID Guard took $44.99 and *************** took $41.27. That is alot of money to me! I did not give anyone permission to do this. I did not sign up for any of these accounts. It is not buyer's remorse, when I don't even know what I bought! This is not fair for someone to go into my account and just take my money! My bank notified me of a suspicious transaction for a check in the odd amount of $3.49. After rejecting the transaction and flagging it as fraud, I saw a copy of this supposed check that I wrote in my bank account and then ******* the company name. I am rejecting this response because:There was no supposed authorization on Friday 4/18. Just because you somehow scammed my phone number/address and created a fake check, doesnt mean I officially made any such purchases. I never delete my text messages, so just to entertain your bogus claim I checked and of course there was no text message sent or received on 4/18 authorizing ID GUARD to charge my account. I did not authorize any transaction with your phony business and it appears youre somehow scamming other unsuspecting people as well. Thankfully, I have a bank who monitors suspicious activity and alerts its customers, otherwise you might have gotten away with it. Go get a real job and stop ripping hard working people off!
