I fell for this scam. ****** search for passport renewal listed this company first, I didn't check further unfortunately. Company doesn't actually issue pasport, just fills out the paper application. Cost me ***** to find out. Should have been tipped off by the name of the billing agent "************************************".

They are an online business that assists with filling out forms for passport renewal, but this wasnt obvious at first. Now they have all of my personal information, including my Social Security number. They sent me a PDF of the completed form and a prepaid **** postage label for the envelope.I dont think Im going to use their service and plan to go to the passport office instead. I just want my information back and want to make sure Im not being scammed.

    Hello BBB,

Through a series of emails I sent to the company I was able to finally get a full refund. They offered 25%, then 50%, then finally 100% after I included their 100% refund policy. They also expo that they are data privacy compliant.

That said, when I completed the form to renew my passport on a government website, the form and instructions were completely different from on one on this website and didn't require as much personal information nor did it require me to physically send in my passport and passport card. This is all still seems suspicious to me.

Should I also notify the ********************** of this business?

I can provide you with the email correspondence as necessary.

    Best regards,

    ***** ******

Today 12/28/24 I went to ****** to renew my childs passport and usa passport online is the most that you can see online and looked legit. When I was filing out the information, it even showed me that I am actually needing to apply for new passport for my son since he is below 16 years old - made me think it is really the correct website to do it online. So I filled out all needed info and it came to the last part where I need to pay for the fee which is $85 and even asked if I needed it expedited. The screen showed too that I will get an email about it in a few minutes. So I checked my email and it has a pdf showing what I need to do next - i then realized they only filled out the form for me and that the fee I paid with them is just for that service and its not even for the passport application fee. I paid $85.83 for something I couldve done for free. I even checked my ***** account and the fee is for an easy filler form. This site is very confusing and makes users fall for it. I want a refund.

On Dec 17/2024 I Googled how to renew my US Passport, and I clicked on a link promising to renew the passport online. I filled out all of the information, and I paid $88.85 total renew my passport including insurance delivery. That's what the website appeared to promise. They even had extra charges for insurance and expedited service listed on their site. I received a confirmation email plus a PDF of the form to print out and include with my passport photo when I mailed them in with my current passport. When I went to the post office this morning (12.17/24) to have the photos taken and to mail the printed application with the photos and our current passports, I was asked for another $160 to actually renew the passports. The $88.85 I previously paid didn't renew the passports at all. I showed the post office worker my confirmation emails, and he explained that I had been charged for something that I could have done absolutely free. It was a scam. I have notified my I used to pay for the fake "renewals". I request an immediate refund of the $88.85 that I paid. Additionally, I request that the website be taken down or at least that the company is required to make VERY CLEAR that they are not providing a renewal service at all. In fact, they are simply charging EXORBITANT amounts of money to create a PDF document for people to print AND they are collecting personal information including social security number, birthdates, and addresse. It is a very deceptive way to collect personal information and have people pay a large sum of money to do it. The website is:***************************** NOT USE THEM TO RENEW YOUR PASSPORT!

Website poses as government website for renewal of passport documents, then charges $66, which appears to be put towards renewal fees, but is actually just for them to fill out your passport form

I went online to renew my passport and Easy Form Filler was the first website to come up. They make you believe you are paying to renew a passport through them. After I went through the process, I paid $88.83 thinking I would get a renewed passport. When I printed out the documents to finish up the process, I realized they are charging people just to fill out forms that can be filled out for free on the government website. No where during the process did they make it clear that you would not be getting a passport when you were done. It is very deceitful the way they have everything laid out and how they are charging people for a normally free service. I would like a full refund as I genuinely thought I was paying to renew passport and that is not what I got.

    Good morning,

I just received your update on my complaint regarding Easy Form Filler. I did attempt to reach out to the company and they did issue me a refund. The reason I did not cancel my BBB complaint is because I wanted you to be aware of their shady practices.

Thank you for your help and have a great holiday!

    Best,

On November 20, 2024, I was looking to renew my passport and this USAPassportOnline site popped up. I thought I was in the legitimate website of the US Passport offices. I filled out the required information and input my credit card info, thinking I was paying for the passport renewal. They charged me $67.88, which I was led to believe was for my passport renewal fee. I then received a subsequent email indicating I had a prefilled renewal form. When I opened that file is when I realized I had been duped because the instructions included the request for another $130 fee to renew my passport. As soon as I realized this was a scam, I immediately sent a return email to the email address these "instructions" had been mailed from, requesting them to cancel my "application" and refund the $67.88 they charged on my credit card. That reply email got bounced back to me, stating it was an undeliverable email address. I now have disputed this charge with my credit card company. This is a serious scam that needs to be stopped ASAP! They DBA USAPassportOnline and also ******************.
