Ryder in ************ is very unprofessional. They changed my agreement after I left and things were settled. I even contacted upper management because the manager trainee ******************* and new Area Manager ********************************* were co conspirators in the situation . I was at Ryder on Monday Dec 19.. I went up to Ryder because ****** called me and stated I owed $1900 for Fri, sat, sun , Mon , and **** I told ************** will not pay for Friday because he told me by the truck broke down on us and left my workers on the side of the road for 6 hrs. He also told me he will give me 200 miles for free . Come to find out he didnt charge me for the broke down unit .. he charged me for the replacement unit that they brought us to get back to Melrose park .. he shouldnt charge Friday at all .. this is the second time we have been broke down because of a faulty renter .. we returned the rental on Friday at 8:45 pm .. we had to start on Monday at 6 am .. I had a reservation for Monday but had to start earlier then ****** time of 7 am .. I went to the rental place on Monday to retrieve the key for the same rental I had they gave them to me when I talked to ****** on Monday and left the rental office he had talk to the account manager and they told him to remove the charges for Saturday and Sunday because I didnt have the keys or access to the rental . I called ****** on Tuesday and ask for someone in management to talk to about me being charged for Friday because Friday when didnt use the rental nor did we do any deliveries due to being broken down .. he called me back and said manager told him to charge me for Saturday and Sunday .. thats so unprofessional and violation of agreement because the account manager address that the day before who does that .. what business goes back on their word .. ****** is working off feelings not professionalism. The first pic is the contract for the replacement unit which I shouldnt been charged for ( Ryder brought that unit out to swap with the broken down unit ..because we was broke down for 5 hrs (1:00 pm - 6:45 pm )in *********** ** .we didnt delivery our freight we had to take it back to the warehouse everything was closed so a day no pay for my business due to Ryder faulty unit .. we rent trucks for reliability when our unit is in the shop not to break down ). The second pic is the contract of the unit that broke down which i didnt get charge for Friday because the unit broke down but then ******************* turn around and charged me for Friday on the replacement unit .. (so really you guys still charge me )how all that involved the same situation and he told me he wouldnt charge me for Friday and give me 200 miles free for inconvenience but he still charged me on the replacement unit and we returned the unit time we made it back to ************ at 8:45 pm so we had the replacement unit from 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm. Ryder was contracted to deliver my dresser (WEST ELM order **************). They delivered a defective dresser. I requested a replacement. The replacement was approved. I have tried repeatedly to schedule the delivery of the new dresser and the pickup of the defective dresser. Ryder has sent movers. However, each time they have sent movers they have sent the wrong number of men (2 men instead of 4 men) and the team has been unable to effectuate the delivery and pickup for this reason. Then they leave with my replacement dresser and do not call me to reschedule. This has been going on for months. It is almost winter here. I feel they are giving me the run around on purpose. The 4 man team has been approved repeatedly and yet Ryder have my order on hold and has not scheduled a delivery or brought a 4man team. I just called them to schedule it again now, and Ryder informed me that they cannot schedule the delivery, again causing unnecessary and excessive delays.Business Response

On Thursday November 9, 2023, I was heading South on *****************, ******* **. It's was raining heavy. As I was approaching my green light, a Ryder truck pulled out from ************************* and had I not been paying attention, or had bad brakes, I would have hit him. I bought a truck from this location in Dec 2022 and it's been a living *** since.. 2weeks after purchasing the truck it needed repairs.The lights wiring were bad and needed to be replaced. We took it to a Ryder location in ******* who claimed to fix the issue but that was false cause in Feb we had the same issue with the lights not working. By Feb 22nd my fiance and I anniversary the Truck broke down in *********** and needed 19k worth of work done to it. I called ryder to see about the warranty I purchased for almost 7k and ***** told me she made a mistake and didn't select full coverage and I would have to pay the bill.I was confused, angry and disappointed as I trusted Ryder was a reputable company who did good business but obviously not. RYDER sold me a LEMON.. if the truck was inspected why did it need 19k worth of work a month later? The fuel tank was or 8 or 9yrs old and needed to be replaced before being sold but they sold it to me knowing it needed repairs.They didn't want to honor the warranty or help with the repairs until I threaten to get my lawyer involved and to this day I still have not been able to get 2 months of consistent business because the truck constantly needs repairs. I tried contacting corporate and it's been a fight to get someone to respond. They say they will call back or have someone contact you but they dont care about the little people I suggest never buying From this location or Ryder.They messed up my warranty sold me a bad truck and they don't want to take responsibility or provide a solution to help a fellow human being do something beneficial for his family and society. This experience was unprofessional,reckless and deceiving.Still waiting on someone to contact me about this lemon. UPDATE The same rep/lawyer I talked to about the bad wiring on the lights a few months back contacted me via phone and email asking for invoices. On or around September 18, 2023, Ryder provided you with a response as it relates to your complaint which was sent to you via email.Ryder had reviewed the estimate and diagnosis dated August 29, 2023 issued by the *** Peterbilt *******, ************** repair facility associated with your used vehicle's fuel tank complaint.
In review of the estimate and diagnosis that you provided , the vehicle requires that you perform certain scheduled preventative maintenance, which should include, but not limited to, flushing fuel lines from fuel to filter, changing the fuel filters and using fresh, clean fuel to maximize the vehicle's efficiency.
It is clear that the repairs mentioned on the diagnosis by *** Peterbilt for the fuel tank are considered to be normal wear and tear conditions that require your attention and need to be maintained and addressed by you during the vehicle's scheduled preventive maintenance given that you have driven and operated the vehicle well over ****** miles since you purchased the vehicle from Ryder .

I am rejecting this response because:The truck broke down numerous times.
The first incident was in Dec of 2022 a month after the purchase with the lights.
In Feb of 2023 the truck was in the shop for 2months because of the fuel tank fuel lines etc almost 19k worth of work was needed. I sent *** a supervisor from Ryder the paperwork and after fighting for months against Ryder they agreed to pay for some of the repairs.. unfortunately that didn't solve the problem as the issue was the fuel tank. No one checked or replaced the fuel tank in *********** where the repairs took place so later on the same issue occured in September. The top mechanic in ******* gave his expert opinion and took pics showing the build up in the tank no bad diesel caused the damage he presented in the pics. Ryder sold me a bad truck out of 9 months the truck was mobile maybe 3 months. 40k miles is not a lot of miles for otr box truck company

I'm owner operator to Central Valleys Best LLC trucking company, I've been renting from, Ryder 9 months. Ryder has 3 or 4 breach of contracts with my company. In addition to this they had me riding around with fake plates on my first truck. After my truck was repaired Ryder was supposed to give my truck back but they did not do that, instead they told me my truck never had plates on it which was a lie. while they kept giving me no good trucks with issues that I was scared to drive, they wouldn't give my truck back. Instead they gave my truck to someone else. my company is suffering because of Ryder and there way of doing not things but me. The last truck I had I was scared to drive, I reported this to Ryder they told me they could not do anything that they had no trucks. My truck sat in the field a whole week with no movement and Ryder charged my for 350 miles on my bill. I purchased a box truck from Ryder in December 2021. Immediately after taking delivery of the equipment, I began experiencing mechanical troubles, thus requiring me to drop it off at a Ryder facility for service. According to Ryder, the problem was rectified, however, after I picked it up, the check engine light came back on. *******, I contacted Ryder several times about recurring service problems which they did attempt to address later on. The crux of my complaint is the fact that at the time of sale, I signed off on bill of sale which displayed a purchase price of $75,531. Yet weeks later, I learned that the truck was actually leased with a balance of more than $120,000. Between the time that I began corresponding with Ryder and the delivery of the equipment, I bounced back and forth between several brokers that never provided an itemized breakdown of the fees. I hold Ryder partially responsible for connecting me with dishonest brokers that engaged in deceptive practices. I have incurred irreparable financial loss due to this debacle.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:1) I have reviewed e-mailed exchanged with my salespersons and the brokers and have determined there was an effort on their part to conceal pivotal information.
2) During the course of my discussions by telephone and email, there was no mentioning of a "lease."
3) In a verbal conversation, ***********************, one of the brokers told me that a 3% interest rate would be assessed.
4) Neither Ryder nor the two brokers (************* and ******************************) told me that the loan would be sold to "*************************." Had I known that ************************* was the lender, I would have realized that I was leasing the equipment, not purchasing it.
5) The finance contract did not break down the fees that would be assessed from the inception of the loan until the end of the loan.
6) The finance contract did not explicitly discuss early payments options.
7) The finance contract did not break down the complete cost of the equipment.
8) I was not mailed a copy of the warranty agreement along with the other sales documents.
9) I believe that my rights under the Consumer Protection Act were violated.
I am seeking compensation for a deal that was poisoned from the start.
