In Sept of 2022 I purchased a 26ft box truck from *************** Ryder Trucks. Today August 9th 2023 I have finally recieved all the paperwork I need to get the tag and title. Imagine my surprise when I find out the truck came from Georgia and I would have to pay $5000.00 plus for the transportation from Georgia to ******. From the 1st day I pulled the truck up on the internet to the day of purchase the truck was in *************** everytime I viewed it. I have went through h*** and back to get the correct paperwork to register the truck, I have been to the *** 5 different times trying to get the truck registered. Now 11 months later I finally have all the paperwork and am being told I have to pay $5000.00 because the truck came from Georgia, when I purchased the truck from *************** I was never told the truck came a Georgia. Isn't it Ryder's responsibility to pay for the transportation from Georgia to ******? Every since I started looking to buy the truck it was in ***************, upon purchase no one told me there would be a $5000.00 fee for the tranportation of the truck. Is Ryder not responsible for the transportation from Georgia to ******? When I first saw the truck it was in ***************, when I bought the truck it was in ***************. How can this bill be handed down to me when I was never aware the truck came from Georgia? Please help! I bought the truck in Sept, I think the date the truck got to ****** needs to be proven and this should be Ryders bill to pay.Business Response

I purchased my truck on May 3, 2023 and I pick my truck up from the Ryder location on or about May 9, 2023. My authority went active on May 25, 2023 so my truck had not been driven before then. I started driving my truck on June 5, 2023 and I drove it until June 25, 2023. Then I took my truck to the rider shop around June 28, because my check engine light was on and I wanted to know if an oil change would satisfy that. The shop did not tell me that an oil change was not needed and that it would not help my check engine light, but performed one anyway. After picking the truck up, the engine light was still on and I called to take the truck back to have it properly diagnosed on the machine. After leaving the truck at the rider location I called to see if the diagnostic had been done, and I was told that it was in the shop being performed. The next day I was told that the truck had been fixed and was ready for pick up. I was not given any documentation as to what the diagnostics was, which I asked for. After taking the truck out for the next job, the engine light came back on, and I called to have the truck taken to a different shop because it apparently had not been fixed. I again requested documentation as to what the diagnostics was from the first visit. When taking the truck to the second shop, I was given an estimate to pay, but no print out from the diagnostics. I paid the amount requested to fix the truck up front. The next day I was told that when trying to fix the truck, a bolt had broken and I would need to pay for towing to have the truck taken to another shop. I was told I would be given a bill for the Towing to pay upfront. I didnt feel like I should have to pay towing expenses when my truck was driven there and it could have been driven to the *********** to have the repairs done. The last time I spoke with someone requesting all my documentation be sent to me And for the Towing bill the supervisor said that they could not provide me with a bill until after it was towed because they would need to get a estimate on additional charges to have the boat that was broken while they were working on my truck fixed. I told her I did not think that was right and I would be contacting a lawyer because I didnt think I should have to pay additional money . At that time she immediately turned my case over to legal and I have not been able to get any information on my truck or the charges to have it towed. Legal has not returned any of my calls and it has been two days. right now Ryder has my truck and my money I paid for repairs, but nothing was done and they refused to contact me and give me any information.Business Response

Ryder delivered 3 appliances on Thursday 7.20.23.Ryder was contracted to drop off, setup, and haul away 2 refrigerators.The 2 employees refused to correctly finish the job and left my house and garage a mess.Delivery personnel ******* and *** were rude and careless with my appliance delivery and dented my main refrigerator by slamming in into the kitchen island.Neither one took responsibility for their actions.******* and *** broke their contract with ****** and left both appliances they were contracted to haul away and leaving my property a mess.Ryder management is rude and unprofessional.Business Response

I bought a box truck from Ryder and did everything online. The truck was located in ***********, ** and they delivered to me in ** for free. When the truck arrived it was dark and I didnt get a chance to look over everything. The next day I started going through it and noticed several issues. The oil is leaking, there is water in the fuel, the box work light isnt working, it honks when you open the door for about a minute and now it wont start. They had me take it to a local Ryder repair shop on June 2nd. I picked it back up on June 7th when they said it was ready. They didnt fix any of the issues and when I went to start it this morning it wouldnt startBusiness Response

So Ive finally had a chance to take the truck to another shop. Do you remember when they said the oil was normal blow back? Well they said a little is normal, but this one is leaking a lot so *********************** wrong with the engine. They said it probably needs rebuilt or the engine needs replaced. Bought truck the 11/23/2022 truck had issues with leaks ryder claimed they fixed the problem. 11/25/2022 truck had the check engine light pop on. Truck is only able to run two weeks out of the month before it has to be towed to the shop for repairs. it spent the whole entire of moth of Feb 2023 in the shop for it to be back in the shop at the end of march.Business Response

Ryder in ****** charged $1548.87 to a saved credit card on 12/28/2022. We, College Hunks Hauling Junk ******, have an account at this local branch for commercial rentals. I did not rent a truck since 9/22/2022. I believe this charge was an error. I have reached out multiple times to the local branch and left multiple voicemails, but have been unable to contact or receive a response. Please refund this incorrect charge. I purchased a semi-utility trailer in 2022; the trailer was finally delivered after many complaints and a call to the corporate office in *****. The issue is that the trailer's roof has damage from its collapse, and the salespeople we purchased it from; state there is nothing they can do to assist with the repairs. On October 25, 2022, a delivery was scheduled between 11 and 1 PM. I received a phone call from the driver that the delivery was 30 minutes away. He never showed up. When I called and asked why, he said he changed his mind. I had to arrange for someone to be at the delivery location and he just decided not to go. The delivery had to be rescheduled. A subsequent delivery was scheduled for 12/13/2022 and they just didn't show up. I would like a refund of the delivery charges because of the inconvenience and lack of professionalism and communication. Truck was diagnosed with code 18, and a payment of $ ****** was made to address issues. 2. Truck returned to Ryder for the same code and sat without service for 13+ days. 3. The truck owner was deceived into believing, with daily follow-up calls, that the truck would be serviced daily. 4. There has been a loss of revenue for 13+ days. The truck owner requested inspection reports showing the same codes but was not provided with the initial code report and was told by manager ***** there wasn't time to get them.
