Nowhere in the many conversations I had with the booking agent, did anyone tell me this was a consolidated move. It wasn't until AFTER they had all my belongings on their truck and they called me to get my first available delivery date did they inform me that I wasn't getting my things sent directly to my new home. Then at pick up the driver explained how the pricing worked, but then started repacking my belongings in MUCH LARGER BOXES even though the boxes were rather empty bc it was "safer" but then telling me the big boxes took up room. Told me "You won't fill this truck" but then when he had already loaded up all my things said "Well, the way this was packed in the truck, you filled it up so now it's going to be $2,300 MORE" and when I refused he said "Well, it's gonna be $2,300 to unload all your stuff so you might as well pay me" I even took pictures of the truck as he was done and how it wasn't full at all! Now I'm being told "It's gonna be 2-21 days from your delivery date that isn't decided until we pick up your belongings at the warehouse" so I'm 14 days into this move, with it looking like another MONTH or MORE without beds, or furniture or any of our clothing.

Avoid IVL! They are liars and will cheat you! Horrible company.I was lied to about the price, the delivery, lied about receiving my pics via text, they demanded more money for the last items to be loaded and only then did they tell me my items were going to a warehouse to be off loaded and that they had a 21 day delivery window. They have all my work equipment all my husbands tools all our appliances and clothing and beds. We have no way to cook, sleep or work for up to 3 weeks. This is a disgusting company.

DO NOT GO WITH INTERNATIONAL VAN LINES!!! In June of 2023 they quoted a price of approximately $9,000. When the truck came (in July) it was too small. I was then told as the movers came in said that it would cost over $18,000!!! I had no one to call, and was over a barrel due to having to be out of the house. Only one of the movers spoke English. They had to make 2 trips due to the truck being too small. How does a quote go that far off! They did not send anyone to give me a good estimate. I told them the square footage, a garage, and an out building. I had to list every item that would not fit in a box! Come to find out, things that would fit in a box, do not go in a box. Since they spoke no English the list they wrote up had items that I did not even own! I didn't realize it until my belongings were delivered in September, that the boxes had not been labeled. I had to open every box to figure out where it would go in my new home. Also, the breakage and damage was significant due to the fact the packing was atrocious! I paid for full pack! Canvas paintings were thrown in a box with no protection with a tool box. Drawers were emptied into a box, not matter the content. My bicycle came back with $148 damage! The back tire was bent and frame bent. Antiques damaged due to thrown in a box with no protection. Antique furniture damaged. Anything plastic did not survive. Items that did not make it to my new home. Thomas Kincaid carousel broken. Glassware broken. Hats crushed due to stuffed in box and items put on top. The list goes on! The delivery truck came and they did not speak English either (one did, some). The delivery truck came within inches of running into my new home!!! In set up, they damaged furniture. It took another 2 days to unload due to getting there late. So many items that have been in my family for decades were damaged or destroyed! This was the third time I was professionally moved, and never so much damage. :( :(

My family hired International Van Lines to move my three-bedroom house out of state. They packed, loaded, and transported our three-bedroom house, plus shipped two motorcycles and one car. We packed some items, but they packed most of the breakables and fragile items, including a baby grand piano which i was concerned about. . They sent a team of four or five movers who packed our home in 5 hours and did an excellent job. We waited about 3 days for our delivery from the pickup day, which worked out great. They reassembled our furniture and set up all the rooms as needed, which made our lives very easyI was delighted with the level of service I received and would consider them again in the future.

Do not use International Van Lines if you value your belongings. They subcontract to *********************** and Storage in the *******, ***** area. We had an in state move including what was supposed to be climate controlled storage. Twenty eight pieces of furniture were delivered damaged in transit and/or storage. Items were water damaged, heat damaged, functionally damaged, scratched, torn or totally destroyed. The claims process took two months and resulted in a payment offer of $404 based on $.60 per pound per item. It's going to cost in the neighborhood of $10,000 to repair or replace the damaged items.

NOT RECOMMENDED...we chose this mover after reading positive reviews posted, and our initial conversation with coordinator was positive and promising..I remember saying to myself "sounded too good to be true"...that was the red flag..but on day of pick up, they arrived with a small sized truck, charged extra fees for "additional inventory", total approx $12k including tips to movers, had to wait for another truck which resulted in two separate pickups days later..after delivery, we discovered 5-6 containers were missing, I kept my own inventory list, and identified their contents. our 7ft boxed Christmas tree, *****, glassware, glass domed cake plates, espresso pots and cups, christmas ornaments, **** truck collection (***** trucks), and mens clothing (pants) were missing..we were told they are investigating- checking with persons who did the move, staging area, and deliveries made to other customers.. we were told they will continue to search, items were all stickered with specific customer numbers, and items may be in staging area mixed in with other customers who have yet to be delivered, they wanted to settle a claim for $700...we were told it's the best offer we will get, we did not take out insurance, from past experience, insurance coverage is a rip off.. I asked for a copy of their investigation report and persons involved, they refuse to provide us with the information. I check in with the claims supervisor weekly, as he will not email a status update.. We feel helpless, frustrated, and emotionally drained from the experience, all our memories and cherished possessions are gone, 40 year collection of ornaments, family memories.....as a business they should be concerned that customer items are lost routinely...they should find out the root cause to prevent further incidences.....is it a procedure problem or employee issue...are items misplaced, given to other customers, or dare I say, stolen...
