      I had a car reserved through Dollar at BWI for 9am. When I got there at 9,I was told there was up to a 3 hr wait for car. After waiting 30 minutes, I told agent to cancel reservation. ( it was prepaid). She said you have to call to cancel. After numerous attempts, finally got a human who said you can only cancel online. Went online, would not let me cancel. Numerous attempts again to get an human on phone, and have talked to 3 agents who said they have issued a refund, and would send me an email confirming refund. It has been over two weeks and no refund, or email. Sent an email to customer service last week and have not gotten a reply. I finally decided to call the credit card company and let them work on refund. So unless you have a lot of time to spend trying to get money back for a service that you didnt receive, and you like being lied to , avoid Dollar at all costs!

      On May 16 I rented a van from Dollar , the clerk was very rude. She made very rude statement about me and my husband bring married since our addresses on our licenses had different towns, I tried to explain that we live in the country and they changed our town name from *** ***** to ******** for 911 purposes and I was willing to show her my car insurance policy with both our names and the address, she would. Then she stated that since it didn't match if my husband was caught driving their vehicle the police would drag him out of the car and arrest him, she didn't know my husband is a retired chief of police. She then asked me about the additional insurance I declined because I have full coverage on my vehicles, she stated I bet you don't have enough to cover the van she was allowing us to rent, at this point I wasn't stopping to her low level, I just wanted the transaction to be over As I walked away a another customer heard everything and she told me I should complain for her rudeness. I have never been treated like that and we have rented numerous vehicles from other companies. I will never rent from Dollar again and I will discourage anyone to do so.

      Worst car rental company ever.After almost three weeks they have still not returned our deposit.Besides their horrible customer service who keep giving us the runaround they have been useless.Avoid renting a car for Dollar Car Rental at all cost! I am going to make complaints on ever social media platforms so that I can inform consumers!

      If I could give no stars I would, we basically downgraded our vehicle and ended up having to pay an extra $330. Worst car rental place ever, better off renting on Turo.

      Rented a car from Dollar Rental. I took out the gas option where you pay a deposit for gas and do not have to fill the car up when you bring the car back. When I got to the hotel I decided I did not want the option. Called Customer Service and they said they will take it off. Therefore I purchased a full tank of gas and bought the car back. When I bought the car back Dollar Rental charged me anyway for the gas and I already filled the tank up with gas. They said I was given false information from customer service. If I did not request possible. Dollar Rental agents do not speak English well and give out wrong information. Beware be aware if you call customer service the answers are correct. I feel ripped off.

      The car I rented was very horrible. It needed a lot of service and the brake's were awful. The cruise control and uconnect did not work. I will never use that business again. When I returned the person asked if I had any complaints and then walked away from me without giving me an opportunity to speak. Just an awful experience.

      Don't use your checking account to leave a deposit....my deposit hold was release a month after the day I return the car. Try calling them many times to resolve the problem.... nothing was done. Very rude and unprofessional "company". Never again!!

      If I could give 0 stars, I would. I rented a car from them for 18 days. Arrived at the airport at 03:00, and the car I was given was damaged. The Bluetooth was nonfunctional, and the volume button didn't work. When I called to change the vehicle, I was to wait one week before able to get another car. I was given an offer: a 10% discount or return the car and pay the prorated. I wrote email to the *********** in the **, and 21 days later, I got nothing but the same 10% discount offer. No or assistance from the ***********. I will be posting photos to prove my point.

      Rented my car from cheap tickets and it was paid with them but when I returned the car they charged me $ ****** dollars saying the car had dogs hair and that's why I was charged that. *** I don't even have a dog ?? it must have been from another person and they didn't clean it . It was just me and my husband so I never checked the back seat. ?????? someone needs to investigate dollars rent a car . Seems like everyone had the same complaints ??
