      To whom it may concern I am sending this email in regards to the service that was provided by your employees at Dollar Car Rental. To me it seems as though they dont care about the service that they provides. When the vehicle that youre renting have one price but when it is returned the rental price has been increased by $200 to $300. The price that on the rental receipt was $529.24 but when I returned it I was charged $708.26 I was overcharged for this rental. I returned the vehicle from March 7, 2025 to March 17, 2025 and I returned the vehicle but no one checked the fuel or the vehicle they just took the keys and walked away. The employees shows lack of concerns about anything it seems as though this is just a job for them. Dollar car rental has done this to me twice and when speaking to the manager all I am told is that is what they charge and there is nothing that they can do about it. Not only that there was supposed to be work done on the vehicle on the axle and other issues. The vehicle was unsafe and the paperwork was in the glove compartment stated that. Why would you give me a vehicle that was unsafe this is the second time that this has occurred the first time while traveling out of town the engine blew in that vehicle. It seems as though the safety and well being of the customers are not being valued at all. Thank you for your time and attention in this matter.

      Purchased online got to the counter they Said that they could only give me electric car on the Manager special, but it does not say that online they force you to take electric car oryou pay more money very disappointed will not happen again youve lost my business Predatory and unfair practice. Bait and switch. The staff at the desk was horrible

      I am filing a formal complaint regarding my recent car rental experience with a **************, ******* franchise. My rental was booked for 3/53/8, with a return time of 2 PM on 3/8, as per my contract. While the car met my needs, the customer service I received was unprofessional, unethical, and unacceptable.Upon pickup on 3/5, the front desk employee made inappropriate comments about my appearance, including calling me sweetheart and love, which created an uncomfortable environment. Despite this, I proceeded with the rental.On 3/8, I received a text at 10 AM requesting I return the vehicle by 1:30 PM, providing only four hours notice. Despite explaining my schedule prevented me from accommodating this request, I was met with rudeness from the owner, who stated, I cant sit around all day waiting for you, and offered no reasonable alternative. Her suggestiona drop-off at ****************** have cost me $60 in fees, two hours of travel, and a $100 **** back to *************Although I left early to comply, traffic delayed me. I arrived at 1:59 PM, per my contract, to find the office closed, the lights off, and no staff present. Calls to the business went unanswered. Corporate support instructed me to resolve the issue the following morning, but I was told charges would accrue until keys were returned.On 3/9 at 8 AM, I presented evidence showing the owner was not there at 2 PM, despite their claims. The staff eventually resolved the issue in my favor. However, the franchise's breach of contract, discourteous service, and false statements made the experience unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming.This businesss conduct was unethical and unprofessional, involving attempts to breach the contract, rude service, and false claims. I urge the BBB to investigate this business to prevent further mistreatment of customers.

      Our deposit was made using a debit card. The website says you can use a debit card. We go to the location and they said no debit card allowed. Customer service was horrible. And judging from these other reviews, they probably wouldn't have had a car anyway

      Never rent a car from Dollar Rental and ***** which is the same sister company. I asked at the counter if there was an extra charge for an additional driver and the lady said no. I was surprised but happy. I would have been fine but she lied. Thats number 1. If you rent this at their location in the airport they charge you an extra location fee of $54.86 which I was not told. Then if you turn in late they tell you its $12.68 for extra hour late fine but they dont disclose the $16 late fee on top of the $12.68. I rented it through ******* for $300 and my bill ended up being $617.47 This is not the first time they do this. Its never the price they quote you its always that price doubled. I feel robbed twice now. So disappointed. Never renting there again.

      Company provided a vehicle full of damages despite up charging for it, refused to release credit deposit, gave me someone else’s personal identifying information, and charged me for ******** up their own rental

      Horrible! I made a reservation and stated the specific time ai needed the vehicle. Once I arrived, I'm told I have to wait an hour. We'll an hour has passed and I still don't have a vehicle, yet they have my money. I will never rent from Dollar again. The customer service is none existent. They should have canceled my reservation prior to arrival and given me an opportunity to book with someone else!

      I reserved a gas vehicle from Dollar at the ******************. They only had 2 vehicles left when I arrived at night, both were EVs. I had to accept an EV, and was told it would get at least 175 miles. My destination was about 20 miles away and the car barely made it, because it turned out that it had never been charged. Also, there was garbage in the trunk so it hadn't been cleaned. I spent 3 hours the next morning trying to get someone from Dollar who could advise or help (the counter staff had supplied a list of 6 or 7 approved recharging locations, none of which were near me). After endless menus of options and automated responses along with some actual people but ***** who could make any suggestions or help in this situation, I drove the car partway to the airport, got to a shopping mall recharging station, had to get a certain app on my phone in order to be able to do the recharge, and successfully recharged enough to limp back to the airport and exchange for a gas vehicle. The main issue here is that Dollar's phone labyrinth is broken or (more likely) deliberately impenetrable. The other issue is that reserving a vehicle and getting a vehicle are entirely different things. Plus, they neglected to clean/charge the car.

      They are a very dishonest company and will charge for anything. I rented a vehicle in Florida on 12-10-2024 and returned it on 12-16-2024. I rented it through my club freedom account and bought the insurance through club freedom. Upon checking in gave them the reservation number and they said they needed a credit card on file for the car to be released understanding. I told them I did not want any of the extra stuff. Next thing I know I get a credit card statement double charging me. Called them and they charged me for extra days and for gas charges and insurance total came out to be almost 500.00. They took some of the charges off but still owed about 150.00 told me to submit the gas receipts and I could get money back, because I left the car with a full tank of gas. Submitted it and they denied it saying it’s not refundable. I never signed any contracts with them so I guess now I am going to have to dispute it on with my credit card company. Dollar car rental are scammers and are dishonest. Never rent from them.

      I had a terrible experience picking up my rental car on Friday, December 13, around 3pm at the Dollar Rental Service at MCO airport. The attendant, an older man with a thick accent, was extremely pushy and predatory in his approach, constantly trying to upsell me on unnecessary extras. He used misleading information about Florida laws and tolls to pressure me into paying for additional services I didn’t need. It got so bad that I had to threaten to cancel my entire reservation before he finally relented and allowed me to proceed without the extra charges. The whole experience felt manipulative and dishonest. I expect transparency and respect when renting a car, not high-pressure sales tactics. This experience left a very bad impression, and I will not be using Dollar Rental Service again. I recommend others be cautious when dealing with this location to avoid being taken advantage of.
