      The line up created at the check-in area, because there were only two available representatives at the Orlando Airport for Dollar Rental combined with Thrifty rental was unacceptable. I had already prepaid for my vehicle yet had to wait in line for an hour and a half to get it. Although the representative was helpful, I later found when I received my invoice she had said I had agreed to paying for daily tolls in the amount of $10.99 per day for three days....costing me an additional $32.97. It was impossible to get hold of anyone to make a complaint. When I did I was told I needed to go to their website and make a written complaint. Not worth my time so I didn't bother. I will never use them again...they seem like a deal until you find they have added many different costs that you may not be aware of. Be careful.

      I would give Dollar a one half star if I could. We rented a car from Dollar from the Rochester NY airport and it was the worst car rental experience I have had so far. The car was not clean someone left a half smoked joint in the passenger side door handle, didn't discover it until we tried to find the bad smell in the car, so this lets you know no one cleaned the car. When we returned the car we accidently left our Garmin in the center consol. I filed a lost and found report as soon as we returned home to Phoenix. I filed the report on the Dollar Car Rental site, got a response from Thrifty Car telling me to go to the Hertz Car rental site to file the lost and found report. No reply. Three days later I got a customer satisfaction survey from Dollar, I gave them all the information about the rental and was told I would receive a reply within 72 hours. That was three weeks ago still no reply. There is absolutely NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT so I will never rent a car from Dollar again.

      As all the others have said. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM DOLLAR RENT A CAR. First I was told after waiting in a long line that I would have to wait another hour for my car that was reserved the hour prior. Or if I wanted to take one of their larger models I could get it right then. With gas at almost $7 a gallon in California, I opted to wait. Car was returned on time with a full tank. The check in women even looked at the gas gage and said I was good to go. I received a letter from Dollar today stating that I had used 8 gallons and had not refuled the gas tank, which is an out right lie. They are charging my credit card for additional $86. Of course I didnt save the receipt from a month ago.

      They suck. I paid down payment and when I went to pick up the car, they said they would not honor the down payment. I have paid the full amount and they continued to charge he the additional amount for the same car rental. It is now 4 months later, and they will still not fix it.

      First, the people at the one by the PBI airport are not very friendly. Second, the girl at the airport desk for the car rental asked me if I wanted them to fill up the car when I brought it back. She then told me if I didn't bring it back on empty they would refund whatever I didn't use. Well that is not the case. I found gas much cheaper and filled up before I brought it back. They still charged me $65. When you call the number they say they don't refund gas money paid. Rip off company!!

      I rented a car from here extra insurance was added without my knowledge. I contacted the same day an agent told me to contact them back once my rental is closed. I contacted today that the rental was closed to inform me that there is nothing they can do. Way to go to do business. We action from them this not a right sales of practice.

      My complaint starts with going to pick up my rentals (2 rentals) at their location at the Saint Paul, MN airport. First, it started out with the agent saying she would upgrade me to a large 8 passenger SUV so I wouldn't have to take the two rentals I reserved which was fine, but then proceeds to tell me that I will be paying for the upgraded rental and one of the other rentals I reserved but would only have the upgraded rental. My question to her was why would I pay for a rental that I won't have with me and she couldn't explain that to me. Instead, she persistently keep trying to charge me $2200, then $1800, then $1500 for an upgrade and the second rental when I kept telling her I didn't want to do that. I then asked for a supervisor or manager and she would act as though she was going to get them and didn't. Then I tell her I want to stick to y original plan and just get the two rentals I reserved, so we start the process of going over insurance coverage and payment information. My mother was there to drive the second rental, so she charges me for the two rentals then proceeds to charge my mother $1000 + $13/day since she will be an additional driver, I told her that was not right and wanted to cancel the entire transaction. Then the manager finally comes over and he is just as confused as we are and tells me that he voided the one rental off of my card so they can just charge my mother for it since she will be driving it. Long story short, the charge is still on my card for the second rental and has not come off yet and every phone call I have with them no one understands what I'm saying and now I have to make another trip back up to the rental place to get this rectified and my money back. P.S. the SUV I rented alignment was off and pulled to the right the entire trip and was vibrating, so I had to exchange it once I made it to my destination and they refuse to compensate me in any way for these issues I have had and continue to have with them. NEVER RENT HERE!

      My complaint seems to be a common occurrence at the Orlando Airport Dollar Rent a Car. Dollar Agents are adding services on to contracts when they are being declined by the customer. I declined the FOP (fuel option protection) and the agent added it. I told him no extras at all and he said to sign the pad. I was charged over $80 for fuel when I used $12. I returned the car full. I was told I accepted it and therefore there was no refund due to me. My contract was closed, so there was nothing they could do. NEVER NEVER use Dollar they are frauds with POOR customer service skills. From what I see here they are fine with being a horrible car rental company. Shame on Dollar and Hertz who seem to own Dollar. Avoid both companies.

      Ridiculous! $8.38 in tolls and $90 in administrative fees. Especially galling as I had a Sunpass * could have used, but was unable to since their pass was affixed to the car already. I will NEVER use Dollar Car rentals again.

      Horrible company. Never used the car that they said I did. Won't refund my money Rude to the maximum when I requested my money back. Took advantage through priceline. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM OR HERTZ WHO IS AFFILIATED
