      I will NEVER from Hertz again !!! I rented a car on 9/2/21 and returned it on 9/9/21 I have a return receipt well evidently the person who was suppose to put it in the system as returned didn't do their job and I received a letter 2 weeks later stating that they were going to file charges against me because I didn't return the vehicle. I went to the office that I rented from and she looked it up and said it was a computer error and that it was all set. Jump ahead to 7/29/22 I reserved a vehicle for pick up in Buffalo and they said they couldn't rent me a car ever again because my license has been flagged??? I didn't have a clue as to why the guy at the desk was really rude and nasty to me. Good thing my husband had an emergency credit card on him this idiot at the desk said that husband couldn't even use my credit card to rent a car. I have been going back and forth with customer service on the phone and email I even sent them a copy of my receipt and they still refuse to remove the flag from my license. It makes no sense at all it is clearly their error and they refuse to fix it.. Bottom line is I would never recommend anyone to rent from this company again .I have been a gold club member for at least 14 years now .. If I could give negative stars I would!!!!

      Made a reservation with Dollar car rental to be picked on June 2nd. I paid for the rental in advanced to get the lower rate. My payment was billed Hertz who owners Dollar. The rental pick up was at Baltimore Washington airport. When arrived to the car rental sight Dollar rental was closed and lights off. They were the only one closed. Went to desk, they put a sign up to go Thrifty(owned by Hertz). They informed my wife and I there were no cars and had no idea when some would come. At that time there approximately 12 people already waiting for a car. Since there was no one at Dollar desk to assist and Thrifty could not do anything but tell we would have to wait in the hopes of getting a car. I had to go to another rental to get a car. My rental with Dollar was 530.19. But because I had to get anther car it now cost me 1100.00. I reached out to Dollar three times. Got only promises that I would be reimbursed. Nothing. Because my payment was paid to Hertz, I contacted them. Promised would be returned. Nothing. Have been on Facebook messenger with Lindsey, Courtney and Sam and all three said their team is looking into it. Nothing. It's been over two months and nothing. Bottom line I believe they have no intention of returning my money. To make this review had to leave rating. They should get zero rating.

      Renter beware! Read the fine print. I reserved a Hertz rental through autorentals.com. I have rented many times thru this website. All of my previous reservations were held without a charge on my credit card. I reserved the Hertz rental car expecting to pay at the desk when picking up the car. My credit card was immediately charged. Never had this happen before. Their policy is if you can cancel with 2 day of booking you receive a full refund. After that they charge $100,00 to cancel. I called autorental.com but they said I had to cancel directly through Hertz. I will never use Hertz again or autorental.com. ************* guarantees no cancelation fees. I reserved a similar car thru them over $200.00 cheaper. I took the $100.00 loss by canceling Hertz but saved $100.00 by renting thru *************.

      Oh my full of scam artists. I was hit by a person renting from Hertz. My car was parked while I was at work...Then I get a message from Hertz claiming it was my fault. So see y'all at arbitration have fun you punks.

      Rented a car 4-5 mos ago and I received lately that the car was damaged.and their reason was I didn't buy their car insurance.what ? Why after 4-5 mos I'm 100% sure I didn't do any harm to their car when I returned it to them.thats ridiculous accusation.

      My issue could be your issue. I was charged $ 101.34 for fuel and taxes when I returned the vehicle to Hertz. I did agree to pre purchase a full tank of gas. When i brought the car back with 1/4 tank I did not expect to be charged this amount for a tank of gas. Had I got gas outside the airport before I returned the car I wouldn't have been charged this additional amount. This was not made clear to me by the counter person. I would just like public to know the options and make an educated decision about pre paying for fuel or fueling up prior to returning a rental car.

      Uber hertz Baldwin location. Be very vigilant when renting here. I've reached out numerous times to no avail to all numbers given me for this location. They'll not answer your call or text to extend your rental and will charge you a daily rate on top of the extension once you finally get through or walk into their location. Happened to me at least 3xs. Still waiting on a response and a credit for all over charges out of incompetence and or sheer purposeful neglect to continously skim money from your account. Leaving this review would not be necessary if only treated honestly like you would customers you'd wish to refer to others. But I cannot.

      reserved a van in JANUARY -for JULY 25 2022--when i wnent to pick it up JULY 25 i was told nothing was avaliable. after calling hertz i finally got a NISSAN VERSA. at a higher cost after getting a confirmation e-mail on JULY 23. WAT A RIP-OFF. CAVEAT EMPHOR.

      I reserved a cargo van in April 2022 for pick up at Sebring, FL on June 17th for a two week period for my business. I stopped at the Hertz office twice before June 17th to confirm everything was good for the reservation and I was told it was. I arrived on the 17th to pick up the van - NO VANS. On June 15th, I had received an email from Hertz confirming the reservation and reminding me to pick it up. The people in the office didn't really care and offered no response other than NO VANS. All of my business commitments and reservations were in jeopardy. However, one of Hertz's competitors was able to meet my needs providing a better van and even replacing the tires on it before I picked it up. My intention was to begin using rental vans from Hertz for some of my business needs to take the load off my van. I may still... but, it won't be with a Hertz van. Don't trust Hertz to meet their reservation commitment.
