      The absolute worst car rental experience and customer service experience. **************** is basically non existent. Got left stranded in the middle of the night in a closed airport in ****** because they didnt have the car we reserved. Ended up paying 4x more for a ****** and then when we needed roadside assistance, the 24 hour number never was answered. We called for hours. There is no customer service number and my first case was left hanging without resolution for weeks despite repeated emails to follow up. The second case was denied without reason.

      Okay. I am a blue chip member have been for at least 4 years now. Never had a problem. Now Im being told that I need to have a returning ticket in order to rent with a debit card. Why are there other policy exceptions obviously stated on your official website that I may use this debit card if its on my profile !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was denied my rental when in desperate need of the rental for the superbowl parade . My child was excited for this trip and now were still in ******* Our plans are completely ruined and not to mention how hurt we are regarding this situation! The people u have working at the counter dont CARE and its just nonsense why have a policy on your website if you dont honor the policy

      Where should I start I got off my plane I had no luggage I finally get to the Thrifty desk and there's 50 people there and two agents so after waiting over an hour to get my car it smelled like vomit I had to get through a memorial service I didn't have time to wait around I told them I would deal with it. So when I return the car they said that I was smoking in it and that car was returned cleaner than when I picked it up because my aunt has very specific allergies to dog hair and I can tell you that that car had not been vacuumed in a month at least there was paint on the back headrest the outside was not washed the windows were dirty. And then when I got back and dropped it off I had checked it in the guy waved me off and then they tried charging me $400 because they said I was smoking in the car Not only was I not smoking in the car but the car smelled better than when I picked it up not only that they were very rude from the beginning to the end I called and I asked them if I could please have the security video of me leaving the lot they did end up taking off the $400 allegedly I have not seen it reflected on my statement yet but I urge all people to watch out they also put into other charges for a total of $100 that I can't remember right now but this was absolutely the worst company I have ever done business with from the very beginning till the very end horrible horrible horrible. I wish I had come here and read the reviews before I ever booked through them I've learned another lesson and watch out for a company called TRAVELOUTS@#$%383314 based out of Mount Laurel New Jersey they charged me 68.07 to make the reservation that I made myself.

      Terrible service! They took my money thought hotwire and refuse to honor the reservation. Agents at JFK were nasty. Leaving me stuck at the airport. Customer service wasn't any better, refuse to refund my money from a reservation they refuse to honor.

      Congratulations to the clerk who saw us coming. She sold us a toll pass and assured us that we would save lots of money with it. There was not one toll from LA to Disneyland. What a racket. Paid $40.00 for nothing.

      I wish I could give Thrifty/Hertz Rental *********** at the Raliegh Airport, and in general, Thrifty/Hertz, zero stars for their dishonesty and lack of customer service. I rented an ** vehicle from their *************** location in Oct 2023. The contract amount was around $175 for 2 days. When I returned the car, the card was charged for over $430. I called them and they revered a bunch of bogus charges. However, they did not reverse the ** charging fee.The reason they gave for the ** charge was that I don't return the card at 100% charge. However, the car was only at 78% charge when I got it. I told the person at the counter about the discrepancy in charge level, who said don't worry, return the car at that charge. I returned it at 78%.I have, since Oct 2023 (now it is Feb ****), tried to resolve this with Thrifty. I emailed them pictures (twice) of the dashboard with the 78% charge levels (while checking out and checking in). The customer service person even said the fee was reversed. However, I still keep getting the bill and threats that they will discontinue my service. I do not recommend using these rental companies for their fraudulent and dishonest activities, I use Uber or Lyft now and it works much better! No standing in lines while getting the car, no exorbitant fees, and no over-charges topped with dishonesty and fraud!

      Worst experience ever!There were at least 40 people in line while I waited for an hour to pick up my vehicle in ******* (********* ******* airport). There were anywhere from 1 to 4 employees behind the counter, but all 4 were never helping customers at once. It was usually only 1 or 2 agents that were helping customers. And they were not friendly. This delay caused us to arrive at our destination after dark.

      Will NEVER rent from Thrifty again! Terrible customer service and all around terrible experience. We stood in line for almost 1.5 hours after a long day of travel as only two agents were at the counter. There must have been 60 people or more in line behind us too. We had extra fees of $250 added to our already $318 pre paid rental that were not explained and we had actually already purchased through a third party company!! Seems as if the complaints are through the roof because the customer service number is ZERO help. In fact it just says goodbye if you choose the wrong option. No way to talk to anyone directly. Very frustrating!!! In the end Thrifty refused to refund any of the fees. Fees I never agreed to!!!!

      DO NOT rent from Thrifty. I rented a car through a third-party site and was overcharged $179. Three of the four people on our vacation tried five times to get it resolved and every minute we waited was meaningless.

      This place is a complete sham. I paid for a car through Orbitz, they had me sign the rental agreement but said I would not be charged because I already paid through Orbitz. Then they charged me an additional $1500 because I signed the rental agreement even though they said I would not be charged it was just outlining what I had already purchased. I filed a claim with the company and they said they would not reimburse me because I signed the form.
