Horrible-Thrifty car Rentals- they are liars! Charge you, what I was told was gonna be $2.00/gallon of gas! I could bring it back at any level! $56+ charged. So how often does an economy car hold 28 gallons in a tank! Plus, wouldnt give us the car unless, we paid $14/day for sun pass in *******, which we used one time! AND although I listed my husband AS THE ONLY DRIVER, they said because it was paid for on my credit card, I had to pay for additional driver! Bunch of thieves!!!

I reserved a car thru Travelocity and paid for insurance for the vehicle, the reservation was for 11 am which they didnt give me a car until after 4pm so I had to wait inside the ***********************************.. they did try to up-sale me to an electric car for an extra charge as they did with everyone else in line they only offered refueling and asked about insurance which I said no the regular one that I have already is fine. I returned the car on full and got a charge for right under 300 hundred dollars for insurance and also road side assistance! I called to get some assistance with this and they said 5 to 7 days. Never heard back or saw a refund so I called back and they said sorry you signed so we wont give you a refund! This is a terrible company. They are deceptive and misleading! Customer BEWARE !!! This company should get sued!!!

I think thrifty is shifty to deal with . Be careful when you use this company. I will be disputing their charges . Rude at counter at pick up , rude in parking area while returning. Was emailed quote of $225 . For 3 day rental and told $351 at counter because I don't use credit cards and had to take Thrifty insurance in order to rent vehicle. Had to show return flight info to prove was returning to airport with car. This was understandable. Apon return the guy in lot jumped in car before I could get belongings out of car and stated throwing receipts, original contract , and beverages we were taking with us . Filled car with gas less than 15 mins before return only to be charged $74. the next day for 6 gals . The attendant had reciept but I will use bank debit card records to dispute. Very displeased with all aspects of this rental from pick up to drop off. Won't use Thrifty again .

My family will never rent from these morons again. Had reservation at Miami Airport but because they had “a lot “ of people come in the previous night they gave all the cars away to those people who had no reservations so now we’re waiting in a group of over 60 people for up to two hours to get a car that we had reserved. DO NOT rent from Thrifty. Plenty of other car rental places. Never had an issue with the others like this. I own my own business and I work very hard to give my customers a great experience. I would love to see this company’s stock plummet and go out of business. Good riddance!

When I made reservations on price line i paid $700 it was for ''Supplier's Choice Vehicle determined at pick-up'' they offered me the cheapest car an electric car which takes 9 hours to charge and I can't use a fast charge. so then I told them that i want a normal car so they up charged me with $45 dollars extra a day above of what i already paid for price line when i made the booking. So then I told him I want to cancel the reservations they told me I cannot I have to call Priceline I called Priceline Priceline said that I can't cancel the booking so I had no choice about to pay the extra $45 per day ended up costing me $874.72 extra.

November 4, 2023 Dear Sir/*****,Please be advised that this letter is triggered by an e-mail stating that I had not returned the vehicle that I rented on 10-19-2023.I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to address a concerning issue related to the recent rental of a 2021 ***** 3, with the tag number ****** , from Thrifty Rental Car at the ****************************. The rental period for this vehicle was from October 19, 2023, to October 23, 2023, when it was returned at approximately 9 PM. Our rental agreement clearly states that the vehicle should be returned to Thrifty Rental Car with a full tank of gas, in which it was.The purpose of this letter is to express my utmost disappointment and frustration with the current situation. Upon returning the rental vehicle to Thrifty Rental Car at ****************************, we handed it over to a male employee who had black curly hair, a *****, and was on the heavy side. This employee, whose name I do not have, received the vehicle on behalf of Thrifty Rental Car, told us to place the keys on the dashboard and assured us that the return process was completed. However, to our astonishment, we have recently been informed by *****************************, at The Hertz/Thrifty Rental Car employee, that they have no record of receiving our rental vehicle. vehicle was given to us with sustained damage, including multiple dents, scratches and a missing clip on the driver's side.In light of the information provided above, I kindly request that Thrifty Rental Car conduct a thorough investigation to locate the 2021 ***** 3 (tag number *** ***, ) that was returned on October 23, 2023, as well as review any surveillance footage or records to verify the vehicle's return.Sincerely, *****

Reserved a car through Priceline was charged $195. Picked up the car at ******* ****************. Only asked for tolls, but charged me for insurance roadside service and other things that I declined but put in the contract anyway totaling $388. Total for the car on Priceline was only 211 but thrifty ended up charging me $383 in extras and will not refund any money. I will never use them again.

I rented a car thru expedia on SLC. I waited in line for an hour and a half to pick up a prepaid reserved car. I drove the car for 350 miles for 10 days. Upon returning home i found a bill for $899 on my credit card for extras on the rental. Like a $461 damage waiver. That was the total rental fee prepaid and then i get that charge + insurance and road assist for a total of $899 on top of the rental fee. This people are thieves. Stay away

I reserved a car at Thrifty at the Houston Hobby Airport for a 3:00 pick-up. Got to the counter at 3:00 waiting in line for about 10 minutes, when I got to the counter I told them I had a reservation they sked for my name and said ok take a seat and we will call you. After an hour and a half it was obvious they were the worse customer service group I have ever seen. Apparently they had no cars and many were still waiting with me. They made no effort to explain the delays and in that time they provided cars to two customers. They spent most of their time visiting with each other, talking on their cell phones or walking outside to visit. I tried to cancel my reservation on line but could not finally got through to their customer service to cancel. Had to find another way to get to my destination. I will never use Thrifty or Dollar in the future.
