      Do NOT rent from Thrifty near LAX! It took us nearly 2 hours waiting in line to get the car. After we got home, we got charged for things we didn’t ask for, like additional insurance which we clearly said no to. We called the company and their rude customer service said we signed and so we pay, period.

      Horrible. I rented a card for 4 days while in Tampa Bay *******. I was charged $400.00 for outside cleaning of the car. The biggest rip off you could imagine. Before returning the car, I vacuumed it out so it was clean inside. Never in my mind I thought I would be charged for a car wash that could have been done for less than $50.00. I was never told of such a fee. No wonder they "hold/reserve" your debit card account for $500.00 knowing they will charge your account whether it needs a cleaning or not. Especially when they don't mention it. I will never rent from Thrifty again on my future travels back to ***** Bay or elsewhere.

      @thriftycarrental worst rental place ever. I had a reservation for 4/1/2023. went to go pick up the car and i was told they had no cars, and they were turning everyone away and told us to call and get refund from site we booked our car. I have been trying to get a refund since they now i am told thrifty charged me as no show. i had to find another rental that was from another company and pay three times more. The thrifty charged me over $500 for the rental they did not give me.

      The incident took place on August 25, 2023 in San Antonio International Airport. We went to the location to drop off our vehicle, process was pretty simple. Ten minutes after leaving, my husband realized he had left his mobile phone in the car. We immediately turned back to the location where we were informed that the vehicle was taken for detailing. Two managers later and an hour into this ordeal the phone was nowhere to be found. I called the cell phone right away after my husband told me he had left it in the car and it rang. Second and subsequent calls made to my husband’s phone it went straight to voicemail which indicates someone turned it off. We traced it with “Find My Phone” application and it appeared turned off. I know we’re responsible for our belongings when we rent a car, but this sort of thing can happen to anyone. We’re just outraged by the fact that you have an employee stealing from clients.

      This is the worst experience I have had....we had to wait two hours to get into our car rental. They gave us the wrong vector because they didn't have any available. The Thrifty agent gave booked us the wrong vechile that was in someone else's name. The agent told us not to worry and it would be fixed. Once we returned the vechile we got charged for the wrong vechile, a full tank of gas, and extra taxes. We showed proof of a full tank of gas. We showed our origin booking receipt showing we already paid the taxes. We showed proof of the vechile we booked. Now we are still in talks with Thrifty because they keep charging us for all the extra fees they over charged us even though we have proof for everything. The vechile we got was dirty inside and the outside. I will never recommend Thrifty to anyone for vechile rentals.

      On two occasions I declined extra services. Only after I signed the contract did I see in small lettering they accepted the extra costs. They would not let me change/adjust it. Awful way to treat customers.

      Worse place ever! Do Not Use!No customer service at all!Returned car with a full tank of gas and then received a bill for over $84 for a fuel charge!This is ********! Car was dirty and it smelled bad!No number to contact a human voice ( go figure right? Too many bad complaints for that I guess. I havent used a rental car in a long time and I wont again for a long time. Sad ending to a vacation to see family. I only left one star because you had to do something to get to the next part of this review

      I arrived at 9pm, flight was actually on time, to pick up my rental in *******, **. Checked in and was told someone would be there to bring me to my car. An hour and a half later, nobody had come, 6 more people waiting for their cars, and the worker is walking around asking people to change to an electric car. My family and I had planned on doing some driving so I declined. After discussion with the employee, they did not have any more vehicles and only had EVs. As I had prepaid and its now 11pm with 3 children in tow, I asked for a refund to get a car from Enterprise. I was told to please hold on. I did and surprise, a car was found. I was told that for the inconvenience that I did not have to refuel the car upon return. It was written on my receipt by the manager. Brought the car back, made sure it was annotated that I was told refueling was not necessary, and all was good. 2 weeks later I get a charge for $131.56 for not refueling. I have been back and forth with this numerous times. Told they would reimburse only to call back in ****************************************************************************************************************************** 10 minutes and that was days ago. This is the worst car rental company I have ever dealt with. I make car reservations for a government agency and have stopped using them completely because of how Ive been treated.

      BELEIVE WHEN I TELL YOU DO NOT RENT FROM THRIFTY AT LEAST FROM ****************. I RENTED WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE CHEAPER AND PAID IN ADVANCED. WHEN I GOT THERE I WAITED AN HOUR IN LINE FOR FRONT DESK AND THEN ANOTHER 3 HOURS IN THE GARAGE FOR A VEHICLE TO BE READY FOR MY FAMILY. NO MANAGER ON DUTY OR ANYONE TO COMPLAINT ABOUT. THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES STRANDED IN THE GARAGE WITH NOTHING TO EAT OR DRINK, BABIES CRYING. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY OR A DISCOUNT FOR THE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TIME I WAITED. ********************** WAS THE ONLY COMPANY AT THE ******** AIPORT THAT HAD A WAIT. ALL OTHER ONES I SAW ZERO LINES. WHEN I RETURNED MY VEHICLE COUPLE OF DAYS LATER I SAW THE LINE FOR FRONT DESK ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE DOOR. PAY A LITTLE EXTRA AND AVOID THIS

      Rented a luxury car in Phoenix for my father’s funeral. A/C went out at 117 degrees. Had to drive 2 hours t switch it out. They put me in a Ford Escape saying it was comparable to the luxury car. Refused to do anything else. They had upgrades available. Last time they ever get a dime from me.
