      Do not waste your time. I vacationed a month ago and was wrongfully charged $176+ and had to fight with 5+ customer service reps to get that refunded in chunks just to be charged again as I was being refunded, and just today told that I needed to contact Expedia for a refund. Expedia doesnt have the same card information on file as thrifty does because of the security deposit needed on site. Its been a month of arguing back and forth when it should not have been.

      Do NOT reserve a car from Thrifty Car Rental. I reserved one to pick up at 3:30 p.m. at the ******************** International (***) airport (as did the ten other patrons in line ahead of me) and we were all told that the wait for a car would be at least two hours. This practice is unacceptable.This company should not ************ they know that they will not have.If I could give a zero star rating, I would.

      If there was a way to give zero stars I would, I stood in line for two hours just to be told the car I pre paid for wasn’t available. The only thing I could do is pay an extra 75.00 a day for a suburban. Never again.

      Had to wait 1.5 hrs+ to pick up car in Orlando airport because the line was so long. No other rental car companies had any lines at all. After returning the vehicle, I noticed they charged me an extra $244 for some kind of damage waiver I did not ask for. The rental charge for the entire week should have been in the neighborhood of $400 and now it's something like $750 with all the fees and taxes and the damage waiver I did not ask for. Either they mistakenly charged me or this is false advertising. I have messaged them and have not yet heard back about this.

      -ZERO STAR rating. If there was a negative rating I would give minus -10 stars. They are an unethical, deceitful, rental car agency, and the person at the counter sneakily added charges even though I OPTED OUT of insurance on our reservation, he added fees to our rental and it DOUBLED the price. I didnt find out until we returned the vehicle. We also had to wait for a car for over 1 hour even though we had a reservation. The manager at the location basically said you signed and picked up car, sorry there is nothing I can do about the extra fees, and he was a jerk about it. The agent added the extra insurance when I told them I had my own insurance and even showed an insurance card! He never asked me if I wanted extra coverage but simply ADDED IT, he hit accept and ask me to sign a digital pad. HE DID NOT GPO OVER ANY ITEMIZED CONTRACT this must be illegal. I will never rent there again. DON'T RENT AT THIS THRIFTY CAR RENTAL, VERY UNETHICAL PRACTICES. IF you do rent there and double check your contract.

      I had an awful experience with Thifty Car Rental. I arrived in Atlanta on 4/20 at 11:45pm at night. I spent the next 4+hours waiting in line to check in to receive my car and wait for my car to appear. I've never seen a line that long for cars that were reserved. We were told that regardless if you pre-resevered a car, you still have to wait. I don't blame the staff working that night because they were doing the best they could with the situation given to them. I blame Thifty the company for not having processes in place for this to not happen. It makes no sense to reserve a vehicle DAYS before, only to have to wait hours to receive your car. My sleep and work were compromised as a result. This was a very bad experience and I do not plan on doing business with Thifty in the future.

      I rented a car from Thrifty at the Seattle Airport. They told me they were giving me an upgrade, and didn’t mention one single thing about cost. I didn’t understand all of the extra charges, but I did ask and he said it was just a hold, and would be reversed. So I was very surprised when I had an extra charge on my credit card after the trip. I tried to dispute it through Expedia (who is great to work with btw) but they were not successful. Apparently, sorry I signed for it. Well, after a very long trip, I believed their agent and didn’t question it as thoroughly as I should have. Be careful.

      From the very beginning there were problems When we got to the desk at ******************************************* Airport we were told our reservation was canceled. I had verified the reservation two days earlier and was told we were set to go. The agent gave us an "upgrade" and the corporate rate which was more than my original reservation. The upgrade was a lemon that should never have been given to a customer. The *** port was loose and kept knocking off my ***. The entire console rebooted 8 times and it would wipe out our destination which I **** have to program again.When we got near our destination in ************** the *** decided to die altogether. Had to use the phone independently to find our hotel. I spoke to the supervisor at the drop off because the manager was busy. Was told to call corporate. Good luck with that. I called 5 different numbers listed and they all had the identical automated message. When I finally spoke to a live agent he said they would check with the drop off location to determine the extent of our complaint. He said I would be notified. They offer a $100 voucher which I refused since I rarely rent and wouldn't use this company again. I told him we were owed a refund for the trouble we went through and was told we will be notified at a later date about that.Find another company even if it cost a little more.

      I rented through my vacation club to pick up at Palm Beach International airport and to drop off at Fort Myers airport (RSW). I had my contract in hand and stepped up to the Thrifty counter to pick up my car. I was immediately told that there was a fee to drop off at the Fort Myers airport. That fee was $356.66! My contract showed that the entire rental with pickup at PBI and drop-off at Fort Myers (RSW) was $714.47, which I had already paid. Since I refused to pay this additional fee, I stepped out of line to call my vacation club and Thrifty. After getting no satisfaction from Thrifty nor my vacation club, I stepped back up to the counter and was told that my car was now gone and it would be 2 hours or so before another car would be available. I had no option at this point to go to another car rental company because I had already paid $714 for a Thrifty car. I also had no other choice but to pay their $356 fee. I have done these types of rentals numerous times in the past and even with Thrifty in 2022, but picked up at the Fort Myers airport and dropped off at Fort Lauderdale airport with no such fee. I think this is a scam at this Thrifty dealership at Palm Beach International airport. I will never use this car rental company again because of this sleazy tactic.
