  I contracted FHIA to replace the windows and sliding glass doors in my *********************** in ******* Florida. They replaced eight Windows and two sliding glass doors in two days. The financing they offered is also very good and enabled me to do the project. The impact windows and doors are locally manufactured in Ocala Florida and are of an excellent quality. They definitely improved the appearance of our home and I am sure increased the value of it. They are vinyl double glass pane with an argon gas separator. I noticed an immediate improvement in the upstairs temperature in my house as the windows reflect solar energy and seal tightly not letting any cool air out or hot air in. They demonstrated the thermal efficiency of the windows using a radiometer and a heat lamp. The radiometer spun with regular windows but did not spin with these windows. My A/C system is not having to work as hard as it did with my old windows and doors which were just regular single pane glass. They have a system for installing the windows that keeps the dirt and debris to a minimum. They surround each window with a plastic tarp floor to ceiling to keep out the elements, dirt, and debris as they do the install. They did a very professional job installing the windows. The windows were properly shimmed, and fit perfectly with no gaps, and then sealed with caulk inside and out. They didn't damage any walls, floors, or ceiling during the install. Even the window ***** were handled perfectly. The installers were very professional, friendly, and courteous and cleaned up after themselves each day. FHIA project management and the sales representative were similarly professional, friendly, and courteous. All in all I am very satisfied with the results and the overall experience with FHIA.

  4 old double sliding glass doors and 4 windows removed and replaced in 2 days. All old wood and framing replaced with pressure treated wood and heavy duty rails with before and after pictures taken. Permit and final inspection by county official all included. Very professional crew who did a good job at keeping dust to a minimum considering the wind and weather conditions and amount of grinding necessary to smooth the surface areas. Also they cleaned up very well. And I received a $200 rebate from my insurance provider.

  I had hurricane impact doors installed on 3/21/25. I dont know what kind of Mickey ***** contractors FHIA uses for their installs but this was THE most unprofessional and sloppiest job I have ever seen. The first day they were installing until about 8pm bc a wall was not leveled & it took them way too long to decide how to proceed. They mistakenly knocked over a 2x4 creating a rip in my patio screen. Once the doors were hung, one of the door rollers was defective and needed to be replaced. The following day they were finishing up until about 3pm. The rollers were replaced and the finishing touches they made to the door frame were done rushed and haphazardly. They left plastic moulding pieces either buckling, separating and/or unsealed. The ton of caulking they used around the frame of the patio doors looked like a beginner had done it (if only I could post pictures here as proof). It was globbed in some areas like they were frosting a cake with a butter knife even after I was told those areas would be filled with Stucco by one of the contractors and they still werent done!It took several calls to the field manager, 2 to customer service and finally the operations manager just to get the contactors back in to finish/fix the job. The first dispatch, my husband missed a day of work and no one bothered to show up nor give a courtesy call they would not be there. The second dispatch was an arrival time of 9am, no one showed. Then they said 2pm but did not show until 6:45pm when my husband was ready to leave for work. It wasnt until the call to the operations manager that someone was dispatched today 4/4/25 to clean up the caulking mess left behind and put the finishing pieces over the s**** openings and plastic moulding on the track.An $11,000 job shouldnt have taken this long or so much effort to be completed. This install job was a total disappointment and the level of service is subpar! Never again!

  In 2020 I made the mistake of contracting with Florida Home Improvement for a walk in shower.The shower is a joke. The materials looked so bad after three years I had to actually have it painted and it was very expensive because the shower is ridiculously large when supposedly a Kohler product.Not only that, the size of the shower is embarrassing and laughable. Every contractor who has come to my home says the shower is way too large and a waste of space. Also in about 2022 or 2023 one of the shower doors fell down. I called FHIA immediately but they never called me back. I had to hire another company to come out and fix it and they informed me the door was put on incorrectly in the first place.If anyone has been in the shower or the bathroom at the time they would have been hurt.I am not even sure if they do bathrooms anymore, but if they do buyer be ware is all I can say. I feel they took advantage of me and in 2025 I am still angry and still paying for this eyesore of a shower.

  I would give no stars if I could. Be aware! Signed up for FHIA at the ********************** to have them come out and give an estimate for windows. Their representative came and measured 9 standard windows and gave an estimate of over $21,000!! Completely trying to rip off elderly customers! The manager, after seeing the estimate, called back the next day and tried to correct the problem by asking to come back out and give a better price but we no longer trust them or wanted to do business with them. Please make sure and research before signing with a company. There are many companies out there like this one ready to take advantage and try and steal your money especially with older customers.

  This is the second time using this company and have not been disappointed, They are professional and work with you to get the best price for your budget, They keep you updated on when your windows will be installed. The installers are quick and keep your house clean. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for new windows you wont be disappointed.
