I don't know why there are bad reviews for PuppySpot. My pup came on time and the communication was great. My pup is 10 weeks, very happy, playful and eating well. I think they are pricey, but you get what you pay for. Its sad to read the negative experiences as getting a new addition to the family....should be a happy time. Thank goodness my lil pup is doing well. If I read these reviews before getting him. I probably wouldn't have gone through PuppySpot.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with PuppySpot! We're glad to hear that your pup arrived on time, healthy, and full of energy. We understand that the process can be a significant investment, but were happy to know you feel it was worth it. Its unfortunate that not everyone has had the same experience, as bringing a new puppy home should indeed be a joyful time. We're grateful that your little pup is doing well and that you chose to go through with PuppySpot despite the reviews. Wishing you and your new furry friend all the best!

PuppySpot does not present the refund information until after you have entered into contract. The give you 72 hours to cancel the contract but will retain 25% of the purchase price of the puppy.
They assure you that the puppy will be shipped to a location near you. I asked several times if this location would be my local regional airport and received assurance that this would be the place where the puppy would be transferred to me.
After the 72 hours had elapsed a trucking company notified me that the transfer location would be performed at a location more than 2 hours away from me late at night. I am a senior citizen and driving late at night becomes a safety consideration for me, due to excess fatigue.
My only reasonable option was to cancel the contract and puppy spot charged me 50% of the puppy purchase price. That’s a bit over $700. What waste for me or someone else on a fixed income. Don’t do business with these shysters.

We understand your frustration and regret that your experience with PuppySpot did not meet your expectations. The cancellation and refund policies, including the retention of a portion of the purchase price, are in place to cover costs for our breeders, but we recognize that these details are critical and should be clearly communicated upfront.

Were sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the transfer location and the impact it had on your situation. Ensuring that the logistics work for our customers is important, and its unfortunate that this wasnt the case for you.

Your feedback is valuable, and we will take it into account as we work to improve our communication and processes. We understand the importance of transparency, especially when significant financial decisions are involved. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Honestly, we had the most amazing experience getting our puppy. She’s a toy poodle and just the sweetest thing.

I bought my puppy from puppy spot and the person who helped me never responded to another text once I had paid for him. He was coming from Indiana and told me he would be flown to Los Angeles because of the distance and it would be too much of a drive. I received my confirmation and in fact he was being driven instead of flown. When I called and talked to someone the manager said that the salesperson should have never made that claim because they are not in charge. Instead my puppy traveled for 3 days in a sprinter van. When he arrived his paws and stomach was saturated in urine from him sitting in a crate for those days. He is completely traumatized and is terrified of everything at this time. The driver told me they started with 24 puppies and had 10 more to deliver. When I found out he was being driven I tried to change to where I could pick him up. There was almost a $300 fee for me to fly and pick him up. That is insanity. After getting my dog and looking up the breeder, I felt completely mislead. This breeder has 105 adult breeding dogs. He is a total puppy mill. Puppy spot had told me that this breeder has been with them for years. 105 adult breeding and 107 puppies on the report I found on him. I feel completely lied to and misled on both transportation and the guarantee they don’t use puppy mills. My puppy is 6 months old when I received him yesterday and to say he is freaked out is an understatement. I don’t know if it was the transport in a van for 3 days in a crate sitting in urine or coming from a puppy mill. I love my puppy and I hope I can get him not to be terrified of humans. He is literary terrified of people. He flips out just seeing them. Again puppy spot told me he was in a loving home and that the breeders treated him like their own pet. I do not think this was the case at all. I paid a lot of money for horrible transportation and a puppy mill dog. Don’t trust them to be honest about your puppy’s breeder.

NO matter what they tell you, I assure you these pups are fom puppy mills.
When my pup arrived off the van I noticed immediately that her coat was greasy and upon receiving her in my arms I felt flea eggs on her neck and noticed live fleas in her coat. She also smelled like fecal matter and an odor was coming from her ears.
I have 25 years as a veterinary assistant, so I have some background to make these statements. My dog was chosen through a filter system for Goldendoodles. We had a chose of Mini - Medium - Standard. We chose Medium. Within 2 weeks we spent $978 in vet bills. She became sick before our illness protection had a chance to be past the 30 day waiting period. She had gastrointestinal problems, double ear infections and a UTI. 3 medications, ultrasounds, bloodwork, urinalysis/culture, sensitivity tests, prescription food.
Called Puppy Spot explained she arrived in this condition, and NOT a medium doodle. What do you do hand her back to the disaster she just escaped from??
I called Puppy Spot for 7 weeks told she is a designer breed and they can't control her size. Why then do you offer the different sizes on your filter system? Our choice in size due to prey birds that scoop up small animals AND SMALL DOGS.
They refuse to acknowledge our concerns and offered a $250 discount. I disputed the charge on my American Express. They want me to drop the dispute of course.
We will raise her and love her and figure out the added expenses of special prescription food and medications. We will also have to watch her outside in our fenced in yard at all times due to prey birds.
I have never been more dissatisfied and disappointed by a company. In the 1980's I helped shut down a com called Dr Pet a chain store selling sick and overbreed puppies. I thought Puppy Spot was different, clearly, I was mistaken. I was one of the many fooled and if anyone should have known better it was me. So please, don't purchase from here. These dogs deserve better than this life.

As a reputable breeder of Toy and Mini Aussies since 2004, I could not imagine giving up my puppies for someone else to place and make profit on my babies without having any idea where and to whom they went. PuppySpot is actually nothing but a massive puppy mill disguised as a caring business. Example who gives $300 of on a living creature for Black Friday? These types of dog brokers should be shut down immediately and the people who support these money hungry businesses apparently do not truly do their homework about the new family member they're "ADOPTING". PuppySpot and puppy mills like them have no idea what the true meaning of adopting a precious puppy is. This new found money maker is absolutely disgusting and just plain wrong.

Was supposed to be a mini, NOT A MINI. Great dog, just false advertising. Don’t trust size of parents or anything like that you see on this site.

I found the puppy I wanted on puppyspot. I applied for financing and got it for over the amount of the puppy. When I was asked for a deposit I questioned. What I got back from ****, one of their reps, was a condescending break down of examples like when you apply for a house or an apartment you have to give a deposit, which you don't for a house if you don't agree on terms. Informed her I understood perfectly how a deposit worked, but if I financed and it wasn't stated beforehand I had just wanted information. She wasn't paying $1000's for a puppy. She practically hung up and put me on a do not sell to list after another rep had taken my deposit the next of THEM calling me. Second rep was more helpful and not condescending. Bad business practices and rude to clients spending thousands of dollars.

This is a brokerage for puppy mills!!! They lack 90% of requirements of a good breeder and do zero vetting! They should be shut down and owner should spend 10 years in a Kennel! How this site is still online baffles me! Send an inspector! BBB, you are morally and professionally responsible in warning people who want a puppy that this place is a terrible place to buy a puppy!!!!

PuppySpot sells puppy mill puppies. Once I found out and let them know they were very rude, told me I didn’t know what I was talking about even though I had proof.
I was given my money back eventually but then blocke and put on a “do not sell to” list… so I am the bad guy for pointing out the expensive dog they sold me was from a puppy mill and instead of standing by their promise and making it right.. they call their customers liers and then block them ?? interesting way of doing business…
