I paid $99 to go to Piconos Mountain hotel. They told me I can make a reservation but never take the phone. I trying and trying. I can't talk with them to make the reservation. I don't understand what happening. I want my money or my weekend for 3 nights. Helloooo. I have the confirmation number. The answer machine all the time. I bought $99 package from ******************************* while staying at *****. At that time, he said we can stay at any *** resorts. I finally called to book my travel & was told you can only stay at *********, ***** or Stratosphere. I complained and insisted to speak to a supervisor......yeah good luck with that! ******************** took down my information to send an email to supervisors- *******, *******, ****, *****, *****, *********** 48 hours later I got an email confirming my reservation for Stratosphere!!! I called again, spoke to another agent, gave all my info again........he told me we can stay at ************, but oh let me check with the team. I was put on hold.....got disconnected. I called again a day later, spoke to another agent, gave all the info again. She tells me "you can stay at *********, just pay $40/night to upgrade". Are you kidding me???? I asked her can I stay in ***** as that was the only other option I thought which was better than all the other options. The agent tells me we have to pay $49 booking fee!!!! This is on top of $99 I already spent plus the time we will be wasting to listen to their time share BS. I thought ***** was a reputable hotel but if they have agents selling these kind of packages, then it is worst than a Motel 6.Take A Break Travel, LLC

Booked accommodation in February for *** travel, received a text and email 2 weeks before the trip changing the reservations, giving less than what initially reserved accommodation. The site stated all reservations were moved. Went from having accommodation at a resort to a 2 star hotel. Originally had a room with queen **** to trying to provide room with double ****. It appears there is bait and switch, you received a call a month prior and 2weeks before check in another call to confirm. Completed all checks and the same evening after the mandatory final steps, I get the notification of change in venue. Tried resolving issue and to no avail, never received return calls, I called and waited to address issues. First told I could not get a refund because it was to late. I pressed issue, I had confirmed reservation and site did not adhere to the reservation, site stated I would get my refund.Take A Break Travel, LLC

Our records indicate that you contacted our reservations department on 04/20/2023 and were advised at that time that due to the popularity of this offer, we had oversold our allotments and were unable to keep the reservation booked as is. Our agent offered you an alternative accommodation at a 3+ star resort which you declined. At that time we provided you the option to use the vacation at a later date or to receive a full refund for the original package price. And you chose to cancel your purchase and receive a refund. I am 61 years young and travel 10-15 weeks a year with Marriott Bonvoy, Westgate, Soleil management and vacation village time shares. We use points with RCI and Interval. So when I speak of Take a Break Vacation/Vacation VIP you can rest assure that I know what I am talking about. I thought this might be a good start up travel club for my kids as you can transfer this to them for $25 if they meet the qualifications. This is by far the worst vacation/travel company in the industry today. I keep records of every communication weather it be by phone or text. You cannot get anyone to answer there phone and I have called 7 different numbers. When you do talk to someone they will transfer you that no one will ever answer. If you leave a number to call back, they will call you at weird hours so your not around your phone if you work, so they can say they tried to call you. Once you receive your certificate keep in mind that you can only cancel it within 30 days from that date. not to mention all the hidden taxes, resort fees and port cost. You can get your money back within 30 days but NO ONE WILL EVER ANSWER THE PHONE. You can send in a request for a refund but I recommend you do it within two weeks of purchase and send it by receipt requested. They will pile on the explanations and legal verbage that only a seasoned lawyer that litigates in this field. I have tried to be go through all the channels and the process requested by this company. It does not work so please just DO NOT use this company for ANY travel.Take A Break Travel, LLC

This company is a joke!! They give you free vacation accommodations that are not free.They gave us a free 3day/2night vac. We picked *********. The only free accommodations were at MOTEL 6!!! That is an insult. If you know what's good for you, you would stay clear of this company and don't waste any time believing the lies to get your money.Take A Break Travel, LLC

I was very frustrated and surprised. I called couple of times being on hold for a while. Finally got someone to spoke with and she inform me that I have to pay for an additional deposit fee of $49+tax, separate from the $99.00 that I paid in *****. after she took the payment she told me I had a reservation and will be getting an email with all the information about the conditions of the package and the presentation, etc., two weeks passed and I never got the confirmation. I called again couple of times till some one picked up and spoke to another agent to find out I have no reservation booked. I mentioned I paid for it and she put me on hold and after several minutes she dropped the call. I called again and spoked with a nice agent the others ones were rude. He provided more details about the package that I purchased and mentioned that I supposed to have a household income of over $50k in order to qualify for the $99.00 deal but when I sign up for it was never mentioned this information. Supposedly I'm going to get my refund of the deposit that I was not supposed to be charged since I was not qualified, however my $99.00 reservation will not getting refunded because I didn't cancelled with in 30 days. Sadly hope is not **** to get $99.00 here and there and making profit out of people that wants to trust this companies. If is not ****, definitely, the company hopeful is serious and needs to train those agents to inform customers about those important terms and not to **** people just for making a sale because they are putting in bad the company. I really hope to get my money back the $99.00, the deposit $49.00 + tax because I didn't qualify since the beginning and I already book a fly with a reservation that I taught I have an now I have to see if I can get the money back too.Take A Break Travel, LLC

Please be advised that Take a Break Travel is the seller of discounted vacation packages which require clients to attend a sales presentation on the benefits of discounted travel and as such must meet certain eligibility requirements to attend. Our records indicate that you contacted our reservation department on 03/31/2023 to arrange travel. However, during the verification process it was determined that you did not meet the required income. Our records indicate that while our agent was in the process of providing you a courtesy upgrade to this package which would have removed the sales presentation and eligibility requirements, the call was disconnected preventing her from moving forward. The details of your package and terms and conditions which outline the eligibility are provided in person at the time of sale. Although refunds are only permitted up to 30 days from the date of purchase, we have issued a refund for the $53.80 reservation fee as well as the $99 package sale money. I purchased a vacation package on 9/17/22 at Paris ***** Hotel in *********. I sent a registered letter to Take a Break on 10/2/22 canceling the package (Per contract it must be canceled within 30 days). In the mailed package, I included a letter stating I'm canceling and the original copies of the documents received at the time of purchase. On 10/14/22 I received a call acknowledging they received my cancelation and they would be sending a refund to my credit card. They asked that I allow 10 business days. As of today, they have not applied the credit or mailed a check. I have contact this office @800-###-4717 numerous times. (Dates 10/14/22, 11/8/22, 11/10/22, 12/1/22, 12/6/22, 12/28/22, 1/12/23, 1/16/23, and 1/26/23). Each time getting nothing but the run around. I was told they did a refund and to check with the "lost and found department" with my banking institution for my refund. So I did that and they stated this company has never attempted to send a refund. On 11/8/22, conference called the company with my bank, the rep argued with me and then hung up the phone. Called backed on 11/10/22 they acknowledged there was an error in the system and they would be sending a refund.Then on Dec 1st I called and was told they were having an issue processing the refund but would send a check. Which was a lie. Next lie was the account manager was out on vacation. Then the account manager was on another call and would call back (never did). At this point I believe the other reviews where they're stating this company is a scam. And they're probably still in business today because they keep stealing people's money.Take A Break Travel, LLC

Bought the $99 poconos package. Had 4 families ready to sign up to hear about it and when I tried to book it, just like my last time share experience it was not available nor was I given the option for open dates. The agent also said I was outside my refund date by 5 days. I asked for a higher up and he said that there is no one. He was the only person I could speak to. I just want my refund at this point. Im not confident in the company and it feels scammy. I know Ill get a rebuttal in this rating but understand a phone call would be more professional in solving my matter!Take A Break Travel, LLC

Please be advised that clients are required to read and accept the terms and conditions of the package prior to entering the credit card for purchase. Once purchased, an email as well as a text message are sent which include a copy of the accepted T&Cs which include the details of the booking process & refund policy which permits full refunds up to 30 days from date of purchase. Please note that upon review of your account we see that your first contact with Take a Break Travel was on 3/28/2023 to arrange travel however the dates requested were no longer available as we work with live allotments and all available allotments for those dates were taken. Our notes indicate that you requested a refund however our agent advised that refunds are permitted up to 30 days from date of purchase. As a courtesy, we have waived this and provided you a full refund to the credit card used for the initial purchase. Please allow up to 7 days for your bank to release these funds to you.
