      On Jan 25, 2022, we met with CEO at our home. This company replaced all windows, slider and front door in our previous home in 2015. Despite other estimates, we trusted the company because of their previous work. We contracted with them for 3 sliding doors, 16 windows and 1 entry door and paid the deposit of $21,650 on Feb. 8, 2022. We had numerous communications with CEO Jan 27-Feb 17. On Feb. 17, Storm Shield employees came to measure windows, sliders and door. On Feb. 17, CEO texted me: "I'll make sure it's perfect you have my word!!!" Then all communication stopped. We knew there were delays, so we didn't pressure them or ****** with calls, but by June we needed to know. We texted CEO on June 15: "Hi K....,This is J... Do you have any update/timeline for the installation of windows, etc. Thank you." With no response, June 16 we called the office 3 times. No one answered, so we stopped by their office in ***********. With some scrambling, they found our order and because of different manufacturers & pandemic delays the whole order wasn't going to be ready until August. On Aug 3, we called with no answer. Finally, we talked to an employee who promised to enquire and call us back. She never called back: we went to office again & had an employee look up our order. He said it would be ready late Aug/early Sept. We heard nothing from Storm Shield. In Sept. we were ill for 2 weeks & then *** hit. We had serious damage & have been working tirelessly on repairs. At this point, hurricane windows were not on our mind. Since Feb. 17, we haven't been contacted even once. We reached out: texted, called, left messages, went to the office. At the very least, we would like to recoup our deposit of $21,650. Storm Shield put us in ***** way by promising hurricane windows be installed before hurricane season; then hurricane happened and we were unprotected & in danger. Storm Shield sold us on the superior security of their windows but left us with no security whatsoever.

      We purchased a new front door on March 1, 2022, for the price of $6,050.00. We were required to put down $2420.00 at the signed contract.I've been trying to get a hold of them for months. I did get a *************************** and she said they would find out where my door is. Since then, no one will return my phone calls.I've had very bad luck with contractors in *******, and i'm afraid its happened to us again. Supposedly my door was there and waiting for installation. ?????

      10 Aug 2022 - Signed a contract for windows and sliders and wrote a $10,000 check as a down payment. I was promised an October install at which time I would pay the remaining balance. 4 months later, after ZERO emails or calls from Storm Shield, I went to their office in *****************. There were two people in the office and the person I spoke to said that the owner was not there and there was nothing she (the person I spoke to) could do. The next step for me is to hire an attorney. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

      On 9-2-22 I signed a contract with Storm Shield to replace my windows with hurricane impact windows. I put $7600.00 down on the windows. Since that time I have not heard anything from Storm Shield, they dont answer the phone, nor do they make call backs. I personally went to the business on 1128-22 and spoke to the office manager advised her that I dont wish to do business with this company any longer and would like my money returned promptly. She advised she would have the owner call me to discuss my complaint. As of this date 11-30-22 I have not received a call back.

      Purchased windows approximately 2 years ago, and still are not correct! One window was the wrong size and the "installer" just adhered it to the exterior of the building. A window was changed, by Storm Shield, from an awing window to stationary glass, thus eliminating the required ventilation in a bathroom.On 3/22/22 they finally sent a pretty good service tech. He ********* of the double hung windows but had to order parts for another and there 3 panes that had lost there seal (he took pictures). He is no longer there, parts were never ordered, and now there are multiple double hungs not working correctly and 6 panes have lost there seal. It continues to get worse!They will not return phone calls. Now can't leave a message (mailboxes are full). The windows are failing!

      We contracted with Storm Shield on4-15-22 for windows, sliding doors and 2 new doors to be installed where there are presently no doors. We were told it would be about 4 months. They came and installed the windows on August 24 and came to install the sliding doors on Aug. 25. The one door that was being installed was wrong, so they stopped. It needs a new header and footer to be installed properly so the workmen said they would be back after a week (they were going on vacation). The 2nd sliding door was delivered wrong, 9 inches too large, so it had to be re-ordered. We've been calling and were told finally, that the doors would arrive in Sept. but we could go on vacation because it would be nearer the end of Sept. Then hurricane *** and we didn't get through to them for almost a month. We've called and left messages, I talked to ***** and my husband got a call last Monday, Nov. 7th from ***** saying they were ready to schedule our install. He was to talk to the work guys and would get back to us by Wed. the 9th of Nov. No calls. We've again called and left several messages with no return calls. It's now been 7 months with an incomplete job. They left materials on our lanai for the 2 sliding doors, 3 months ago. Not a good way to do business.

      I ordered hurricane door sliders and windows in December of 2021 and gave a large deposit. They came out 3 times to measure the doors. I was expecting them to be installed over the summer. I called many times to get an ETA before the hurricane and could not get any one to tell me the status of an installation. I spoke to ***** in September and he put the blame on the hurricane and he promised to get back to me ASAP. I have not heard back. I have called many times and emailed. The sales person has not been helpful either. I feel like I was scammed. Its the worst customer service Ive ever seen.

      On January 11, 2022 we contracted with Storm Shield, LLC to install windows and doors in our houses. We placed a good faith deposit down on the merchandise with two other installments due (one when the windows were delivered and second when the job was completed). As of today, nothing has been done. We reached out to the President of the company several months ago and was told the windows would be installed no later than August 30, 2022. It is now November 4th and my numerous emails have gone unanswered and nothing has been done. I have also tried to call and have left numerous voicemails. This project should have been completed by June of 2022. Either way the manager of the company should returned both my phone calls and emails.

      I ordered a door in April 2022 and put a down payment on the door. I was told the door would be ready by September 2022. I called in July to verify this and was told yes, it would be September. I have not heard from the company and in addition, when I have called the phone number of ************, no one answers then the operator says this is not a working phone number. I have tried calling, texting, and emailing the owner ***** and have had no responses from him. His business phone number does not ring and the mail box is full. I want my down payment back and no longer want the door. This is not professional.

I was supposed to receive my door in September, well before the hurricane hit. I no longer would like to work with your company and want a full refund for my deposit.       I have had very similar problems with Storm Shield that others have complained about with the BBB. I think their windows are probably better than most brands out there, but they lack the business infrastructure to reach their potential. I put down a deposit on my windows and doors about 6 months ago and have not been updated on the status of my order or if I'm ever going to get them. They said the order would take approximately 4 months. I feel my deposit of over $15,000 is in jeopardy of being lost. At this point, I would like to get my deposit back and not take the risk of waiting perhaps a year and have them shut down their business. If this were to happen, my project would be ruined and my wife and I will not be able to move into our primary residence. So far I'm extremely disappointed and I suppose I'm in the same predicament as the others filing complaints. I wish I had done my due diligence and looked up their business reputation before plopping down a large sum of money that I may lose - not to mention the lost time in completing our home. My salesman tells me that he's not sure what's going on there and that I will get a response from ***** soon. So far no response at all. I'm very, very disappointed in Storm Shield thus far.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********.  I did get a response from Storm Shield.  I have been told that my order will arrive sometime in November.  I will be pleasantly surprised if that happens.  I've seen quite a few complaints where their promises are not at all accurate.  I do believe they make the best windows, but I've never experienced how they deliver on their promises, which I will report here once I find out if their predictions are accurate.

      I have attempted to contact Storm Shield about my $31,000+ window and door order over 6 months ago. I put 50% down and was told the product should be installed within 3 months. Worst case 4 months. Since I placed the order, I have not been able to get a straight answer from the salesman or the company if the order was ever placed with the manufacturer who they contract with. The salesman told me they generally have the windows manufactured and delivered within 8 week from the time the manufacturer gets their order. As of December 15, 2022, the salesman said that the company is still taking orders. Either they are taking deposits and not planning on delivering the products they promise, or they are taking deposits from one job to pay the manufacturer for older orders - effectively a Ponzi scheme. I am asking for my deposit to be returned, or deliver the windows and doors. Their office did have a secretary answer yesterday, December 15th, and said she had not seen the owner in a few days, but would put the note on his desk. I called his cell phone and office number and left more messages, send multiple emails, etc.. I spoke with my salesman and he said there are many customers like myself in the same situation. I may join forces in a lawsuit if necessary, but still hope that Storm Shield returns my deposit or delivers my windows and doors. Based on what I've seen, the owner does not plan on doing either on my order or anyone else they have been able to ******* a 50% deposit out of. I am going to their office again to see what happened to my deposit. They are not a reputable company and I don't know what they are doing with all their deposit money, but it's not being put into delivering products to the customers they have taken 50% deposits from. That's for certain.
