Tech showed us pictures and videos that were not our attic and requested 7200 dollars to fix the fake problem. 3 other **** professionals agree my system is fine. We just had a kink in one duct that was fixed for 120 dollars. I'd like my $189 fee refunded from Lickety Split.

On 5/19/25 had LS come out to evaluate AC unit not cooling. Tech arrived around 1800, checked system, started telling me within 10m about static pressure, paid $794 to have Freon put in(claimed it was a neg reading) and replace the capacitor on outside unit. Didnt change anything, never cooled, had ***** (sales **** explain we needed a complete new system including ductwork replaced, for $26k said current unit was undersized and required a larger ton unit. I asked for other options and was told this was the only solution, Then explained my ducts were a health hazard due to them being made with a fiberglass material. Around 2230 5/19/25 I reluctantly agreed to let them do the work, need AC 82YO mother living in home w/COPD and on oxygen . They were to arrive on5/20/25 around 0800, got a confirmation email and text at 0651 they were on the way. No show by 1000 hrs I called main office and was told not scheduled for service until 5/21/25. Called another company who came out at 1245 (5/20/25) checked my system and said they could replace both units, that what I had size wise just fine and no, ducts didnt have to be replaced unless I wanted. At 1354 called office ******** and cancelled service. At 1535 a $10k charge was put on my CC. Called them back and ended up speaking to VP ***** ***** who claimed I couldnt cancel without a 15% fee and didnt know anything about the $10k charge, I asked for a copy of the contract which stated that and still nothing provided Mr ***** finally admitted another solution was viable and could be out to do without replacing ductwork. I declined, should have given me all solutions to make a decision,I informed him I wanted the unauthorized charge refunded immediately. On 5/21/25 spoke with a customer care rep ****** in their office about refund and said it was sent to accounting and management. As of 5/22/25 no refund issued. I have disputed the charges with my ********** and now waiting.

Our AC system wasn't working and this company was able to come to allegedly fix it. The whole time technician was talking about how we needed new ductwork (Which we do) and that is the main problem behind our AC being out. We paid for a $189 service fee (yearly) which I got a receipt for before the technician came out. The technician (After much push of the ductwork needing to happen and we were asking for a quote for the work from them) said he suspected a freon leak. He implied that we must have a leak test done for $800 before they can add freon. At this point our house had been without AC all day and it was 100 degrees outside. I should have checked on this price as it should have been closer to $100. This $800 is a scheme to make you feel invested in the company. (Predatory sales scheme.) I did not receive a receipt after paying for this service. The leak test took the technician all of 5 minutes and he told me the leak is located in the compressor (which he quoted to cost $5000 and would be included--for free if we took out the home improvement loan to re-do the ductwork.) Then came the very high-pressure predatory sales. The guy was supposed to go charge the freon at this point and he continued to delay fixing out AC because this is part of their predatory high-pressure sales. His "Supervisor" then got on the phone with my husband and attempted to push a reductwork job for $18,000 and a 15 year loan at 14% apr. Of course we knew at this point what we were dealing with and declined. After attempting to contact the company, they do not really care about my perspective and still have not received the appropriate receipts for the service. This type of business should not be able to take advantage of people that are desperate to get their AC fixed. Please look into this scam of a company. The fee of $800 and the $189 for the yearly services (Which I will never use as I do not trust this company) is part of my dispute. The payment is a bait for their con job.

Do not use this company. They should be investigated for fraud. I paid them to do a tune up on our AC unit which was freezing up. I told them I had I an older unit and when they came out, they didn't do the tune up work, such as cleaning coils on the evaporator and condenser, measure Freon, clean leaves and straw from the outside unit. Clean the drip pan and clear the drain line, etc. They told us good luck finding R22 refrigerant and left us for 5 days without AC until we got another company to add *****. Which we found out there are several options of Freon that could've been used. Our unit has never ran better. They tried to sell us a new unit, or spend $2700 to clean and fix our unit. They lied to our face, and did nothing to help us.

I cancelled the remainder of my 'maintenance agreement' and requested a refund of the unused service. When I took the one year agreement $189 (for 2 seasonal checks of the **** system) I was told it could be cancelled at any time and any unused services would be refunded. I have requested a refund for the single remaining unused service now 3 times and have still not received my refund.

The original a/c plan was purchased on 4.14.24 for the one year , 2 tune-ups , and limitless A/c repair services if needed. Ms ******* was left a message on 10.16.24 to book that final tune up, was talked to 12.27.24 in which she stated she wanted to wait til spring for the tune up, then called 2.19.25 as a reminder, then again on 3.11.25. Lickety split was sent this message on 3.15.25- Hugs and blessings for wellness and joy ***************************" we don't refund a tune up on a plan. Please have Ms ***** call in if we can help her any further and we can also honor the properties last tune-up if we set it up this week!

      Customer Answer

      Date: 04/21/2025

The information provided in LS response is inaccurate.  I called on 4-14-24 in response to their advertised $49 seasonal check up - a one-time event. The charge for this was processed on 4/15/24 to my credit card. THIS WAS A ONE TIME SERVICE!!

That one-time service was provided on 4/26/24. During that service call the technician explained their 'annual contract' for 2 seasonal services per year. After talking the representative in their office while the technician was in my home, I agreed to take the service for 1 year for a price of $189. I was assured by the representative and technician that the annual agreement could be cancelled at any time and the unused services would be refunded either in full if no service had been rendered or a partial refund would be made if only 1 service call was completed. I paid $189 for the 'annual service contract' that day on my credit card.

I used the first service call in August as my compressor fan was making an odd noise. I was told that would be my 'fall system check' and I agreed to that. The technician came out on 8/18 - told me yes, the compressor fan had an issue and showed me three different 'service levels' on a tablet and to initial the one I wanted. I asked for a hardcopy of the different service offerings and was told it would have to be emailed. I declined signing for anything on the tablet and asked that an email be sent with details on the three different options presented. After several days and no email, I called the office and again requested the detailed information to be emailed - eventually I received a screenshot of the tablet - still no detail.

After that I was contacted multiple times between October and early March to do my 'SPRING system check'. Those are NOT TIMEFRAMES for a SPRING tuneup so I declined and requested, multiple times, that the remainder of my annual contract be cancelled and the unused service call be refunded. Instead of honoring the cancellation terms of their contract presented to me 4/26/24, they continued to call/text/email me.  Each time I responded with a request to cancel the remaining service and refund half of the $189 I previously paid for two services as I knew at that point I would never use the second service.

I am still requesting a refund of $94.50 to be paid immediately.

Also we Reached out to Ms. ******* @ ********** to schedule her last visit  on 3.5.25 , we wanted to make sure that she got the most out of her service plan. Unfortunately she didnt use it and told us via txt on 3.11.25 that she was relocating and wanted to cancel the plan, there is no value left after we have done dispatches to the location. Please let her know out of courtesy we will still honor that location on a tune up , however no refund is there to be given after a year of use., Also Screenshot of service list sent of visits to location.

On Jan 19 I paid this business $4147.00 on my credit card for planned services regarding septic system. The next day, I cancelled all services except the septic pump out ($500). They agreed to refund. Called back twice and was told the refund is being processed and should show up shortly. No refund has showed up to my credit card. I called again today was told theres no transaction scheduled for me. It was at this point I felt it necessary to file this complaint to ensure my refund gets processed.

Initial visit was on 10 Jan 2025. Our experience was extremely disappointing. They were aggressively adamant that we needed to replace all our AC ductwork, citing low static pressure on the air handler. They provided no alternative solutions to address the issue. I learned there were other viable options they could have considered. These alternatives were never mentioned during our initial consultation. The salesperson emphasized this was a severe health hazard requiring immediate resolution. Multiple technicians had to revisit our home to correct mistakes from the initial job. To make matters worse, we received contradictory information during different visits, demonstrating a lack of consistency and expertise. Had I not been vigilant and asked questions they would have left all of these issues without concern. The company sent the same salesperson to address our concernssomeone with no authority to make decisions. This individual repeatedly had to call his ****, ***** Cairo. ***** was particularly unprofessional and dismissive. When we raised our complaints he blamed the ducting on shoddy contractors and claimed there was organic material (mold) growing in our attica claim that had never been mentioned before. As a reputable company, if there was organic material (mold) they should have informed us of such issues immediately when discovered so we could mitigate and prevent further spread. He instructed the salesperson to collect payment and threatened to place a lien on our home if payment wasnt provided immediately. This approach felt inappropriate and unprofessional. It was clear he had no desire to hear our concerns. I asked the salesperson if he was a trained technician or had formal training in ac servicing and inspecting duct work, which he replied he was not, he was just a company salesman. They failed, From upselling unnecessary work and failing to provide alternative solutions, to incomplete service, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior.

I called them and cancelled the service. I called them a few times for a refund but they have not given me a refund until now.
