I manage multiple rental properties and work with many contractorsLickety Split AC was by far the worst experience Ive had. **** went out at a rental on a Friday night. ******, a tech, came out, diagnosed the issue (2 dampers), and promised a crew by 9am Saturday. He persuaded me to cancel my trusted contractor (*******) by promising faster service.Saturday: I called 5 times. Each time I was assured I was on the schedule. At 5:30pm, Im told there was no work order at all. I had already approved a $1,415 quote, and had someone being paid $40/hour waiting all day. A manager, *****, admitted the mistake and sent a crewwho didnt show until 8pm, with no notice despite multiple promises of a 45-min warning.Sunday: I was told Manager ****** would call to follow up. She never did.Monday: a tech showed up again, unannounced, to finish the repairsomething I was never told needed finishing. This was the third disruption to guests, all without proper communication. I had ******* come later to check their work because I no longer trusted what had been done. This experience cost me $1,600+ in repairs, $400+ in waiting time, and multiple guest complaints. Not a single person took real ownership. The communication between departments is nonexistent, and the customer is left to suffer the consequences. I would never use or recommend this company again.

I contacted Lickety Split after seeing their $49 tune-up advertised online. Unfortunately, it turned out to be nothing but a bait-and-switch. This company looks for opportunities to upsell instead of fixing the actual issue, pressuring customers into thousands of dollars of unnecessary work. Before completing the tuneup or checking the refrigerant levels (although he said its probably low), he called a manager to my home. Together, they tried to pressure me into a 7k ductwork replacement, even though my system had been working just fine a week earlier. They refused to add refrigerant unless I paid almost $2,300 for a deep cleaning despite the fact that my unit had been professionally cleaned just a few months ago. The tuneup invoice listed coil cleaning as part of the tune-up, so I dont understand why I was being charged so much.I told them I wanted to get a second opinion, and they kept pushing anyway. I reluctantly agreed to the basic cleaning. I specifically asked the tech multiple times: Will this cleaning help? and he said yes. I was made to pay for the service before the work was even done. After nearly five hours of high-pressure sales tactics, the system ran exactly the same as before and they were still trying to sell me more.I called the company afterward to say I was unhappy and wanted my money back, almost $800 for nothing. No one ever returned my call. I messaged them on their website asking for a contact email so I could file a formal complaint. Again, no response. I eventually had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. Then, while the charge was still in dispute, they charged me AGAIN. This was outrageous. If there was any confusion or mistake, it shouldve been handled through the credit card company not by charging me again directly without consent. This company operates with a complete lack of professionalism or integrity. Their technicians work on commission, which clearly incentivizes upselling over actual diagnostics.

We exercised our right to cancel with this company and they still attempted to charge us for work they never started as well as ignored our request for them to remove equipment. This company is know for fraud against their customers and refuse to provide any documentation as to what their charging you for. They will cut all communication with you the minute you attempt to cancel and STILL attempted to charge your card for absurd amounts of money ($13,900). NEVER work with this company ever theyre straight con artists

This company does not deserve not even one star. My ** started leaking water Saturday Night. I needed my ** fixed so i called this company. I regret it. I should of shopped around. They basically charged me $189 just to get a tech here. The tech came and as soon as i let him in my house he was trying to sell stuff to me. He took apart the unit in the backyard just to tell me that the reverse valve was the problem causing the ** to blow hot air. WRONG. As soon as he said that comment i told him ok so if its the valve replace it so i can have **. He said he couldnt do it because the whole ** needs to be replace and it can cost thousands of dollars. He was constantly contacting his manager (super micromanaged). He basically told me that they couldnt fix it. And he left the unit in the back yard unplugged with wires left a mess. As soon as he left i had to call around and i got another company to come. The new company came in did a couple test, found out that the unit was unplugged. the new company plugged every thing back up and did more test. And the main problem that was causing my ac to blow hot air was that my thermostat was broken. The problem for all this was a d**n thermostat. Thank *******. You guys rock!!! DO NOT USE LICKTY. COMPANY IS A COMPLETE FRAUD. THANKYOU TO ******* THEY SAVED ME FROM THIS FRAUD OF A COMPANY and $10K.

My wife called them while I was out of town and we were royally screwed. $1500 for a fan motor. And it was the wrong motor. Had to have it replaced six months later by a different company. Only $750 for the correct motor.
Lickity Split came out to do a routine service that I guess my wife signed up for and they talked her into replacing the duct work. That was $14000. I've since got estimates from other companies and the highest one is less than $5000.
Good luck to anyone who deals with these people. My advice would be to get a second opinion and a lawyer.

We scheduled an ac tune-up and were blindsided by high-pressure sales tactics and a massively inflated quote to replace our entire duct system. Our home is only 8 years old. When we bought it 2 years ago, our inspector went into the attic and found no issues with the system or ductwork. Lickety Split claimed that, in 2 years, it somehow deteriorated to the point it had to be replaced - for tens of thousands of dollars. They claimed that our ducts were filled with bacteria. Did they test it? ****. They simply showed us photos of some dust and said we should be ashamed for putting our family at risk. Their solutions were either a full replacement or an extremely expensive band-aid that they said would need to be replaced in a few years anyway.Thankfully, we got a second opinion. And guess what? Our ductwork is fine. A few minor repairs were recommended - nothing even close to a full replacement.I highly encourage you, if you need your ac checked out, call anyone but Lickety Split.

They did not coordinate THREE TIMES coming back to my house to check a UV dye study. The first time they came back too quick to find a leak and during the day so it was too bright. The second time no one came at all, I cancelled when it got to be 10pm. The third time I cancelled when no one came by by 11pm. Mind you, the appointment time for these last two checks was between 4p-8pm.

I originally contacted the company in the beginning of January to have my a..c. worked on. They said that I needed a new unit which they installed and didnt leave until after 9 PM that night. In April the company contacted ME to tell ME that the inspector needed to look at their work. The inspector told the company what needed to be done and I am STILL waiting for it to get done. The inspector said that the **** unit requires a fuse which can handle a minimum of 31 and my fuses max at 30. The company has promised to come out multiple times and I have yet to see anyone. Just last week I called twice to have someone come out and both times they said someone would be there tomorrow and nobody came out. I have also been told that my unit needs a part installed and I have yet to get it installed or even mentioned by the company. Supposedly the part has been on back order and at least twice that I know of has been taken for other customers. The part is a heating element and it is almost June. How many people have their heater turned on now? I give respect to the people who came out and stayed past 9 that night installing the unit but the company doesnt seem to care about trying to keep me as a customer. If the company does anything worth an update I will give one, but at this moment I will tell people to avoid this company.
