      I'm totally unhappy. My house is only two years old. Being a civil engineer in the **** for 20 years and a project manager for a commercial contracting company for more than 19 years, I understand a little about service, warranties, and how things work in buildings. Had no issues with unit. Felt it was time to have it serviced by company believed installed based on information received from builders and stickers all over unit. Called Del -Air, set up an annual service agreement. Tech serviced the unit; told me everything looked and was working as it was supposed to. Told me to keep changing my filters and running water through the drains like I'd been doing since I bought the house. Two weeks later we heard what sound like water splashing in the return air plenum, opened it up and water was everywhere. I called Del-Air to come back out to see what was going on and the tech that came out was unsure what happened, he only found that the unit had iced up. (usually only happens when unit are dirty) or expansion valves are bad. he checked mine and thought it was good. thawed the unit out and told me to start it back up after a while. Same problem with water. water has damaged the plenum and the platform the unit sets on is very wet. I called them out again. Tech comes out & checked everything, said it looked fine let it run again, didn't know why water was not running out of the drain. told me he thought the valve may be bad as well. I asked him to check the level the level of the unit and drain to see if the water was trying to run uphill, he told me he did not have a level. After I got him a level, he checked it & sure enough the unit had moved from the platform being wet so long. I was told he had to talk to office and get back to me. I had to call several times and was finally told they ordered a part that was under warranty. I had to pay $1k for labor and know must pay for water damage caused by faulty parts it took weeks to discover. Why??


      UPDATE:


      Del-Air finally returned to my home and made the repairs to my unit, the wet plenum box below the unit and the platform.  I still am unhappy with what I had to go through to get the issue resolved, but it is taken care of after the BBB issued the review.

      Please find another company. I scheduled an appointment from 8-10:00am yesterday and no one showed up. After multiple calls someone finally at noon told me my appointment was put on hold. No courtesy call from Del air, I had to call them to find out they were not coming. Skip to day two now, I was told I would need to pay the invoice in advance that I was never provided. I advised I had no issue paying just tell me how. The invoice was finally sent it today afternoon and it states I'm paying for work that has been preformed. I called to make payment on the invoice so they would come do the work and no one knows how to take payment. You cannot make this stuff up. Such an unprofessional, poorly run company. If not for my AC units being under warranty with them I would call someone else. Horrible company to do business with. I asked both days to speak to supervisors and no calls me back. Too may hands in pot and no one is being supervised. No repercussions for employees providing bad customer service as no one will call you.

      I have been very happy with my service from Del air. We had their air conditioner installed six years ago and I have a monthly maintenance contract so they come out every six months and check everything and they technicians are always friendly and knowledgeable and I have been very happy with that.

      Del-Air came out to work on my 17 year old A/C unit, but had quite a few issues. They were able to fix the problems but I also had them quote me an entire new system. After reviewing the quote and extended warranty we decided to have our system replaced. We decided to go with a modern high efficiency system. The installation was done within 24 hours without any issues. I would recommend Del-Air for A/C service and installation.

      A New Furnace was installed in our rental house in 2021 by a very reputable Company in **********, *******. The owner retired and sold his business to Del-Air. On 8-1-2024, the air conditioner was not working. We did not know if it was an issued that was still covered by warranty, so called Del-Air to inspect air conditioner. The service tech came out. He called and told us that the a/c drain line was clogged and that was why the a/c shut down. He quoted the price to unclog the drain and we paid him. I ask him at that time if he had the drain line unclogged. He told me he was working on it. An hour later I called the tenant to see if the a/c was back on and working. She said no. That the service tech told her husband that he had done the best he could do and left. I had to track down the service tech to see why he just left the job, did not complete the repair and never called us. He told me that he had gotten the line partially open, but told the tenant it might clog back up again. Then he told me that it was an old line and that it might be broken or have a kink in the line and that we needed to run a new line. I then called Del-Air and complained about the service tech and again ask why no one called us. She pulled up the service tech report and he said job was complete. I told office representative that my husband would be going over to the house from his busy work schedule and if he was able to unclog the drain then we should be refunded our money for a job that was not completed. From the time my husband arrived at the house it took him 15 minutes to unclog the drain line and get the a/c back on. My husband said the line was in good condition, no breakage or kinks. I called the office 3 days in a row and ask to speak with someone in charge to discuss this issue. They told me that someone would call me back within 24 hours. I am still waiting for the call! Service Techs are not reputable and will try to con you into repairs not needed.
