  They broke my 75in flat screen and ripped off supporting legs for my entertainment system. Watch out for their insurance. Its by the pound so I only received a check of $68 to cover my $1k TV.

  The movers took way long that needed for an apartment move that was a distance of 15 mins away. We had much lesser boxes than anticipated and there was just one piece of furniture to dismantle. I thought that the work was slow as it was an hourly move and we paid quite a lot for a short distance move. A fixed price move would have been more cost effective

  I used this company a second time after a bad experience the first time. I was assured that the experience would be better. I had them move me into a storage unit. When I moved out there was $2000 of damage. They cracked my tv, lost the legs to my couch and damaged the leg on my kitchen island. I hope to prevent others from this experience. The company is doing nothing to rectify this. I would recommend not using them.

  My experience with College HUNKS movers was superb. I only had a few pieces of furniture to move. College HUNKS pricing wasn't much more than if I moved the furniture myself, the furniture was safer on their truck, and it saved me almost 6 hours of driving that I spent working on something else that was needed. ********** went out of their way to see that the furniture was placed where I wanted it and they even helped me straighten a rug that had gotten lumpy. I will use College HUNKS again if needed and I will certainly recommend them to anyone who needs moving services.

  College Hunks in ****************, cancelled my commitment to move my furniture to ****, ********, in the last 2 weeks of my move. I booked their service 2 months in advance. Because it was done without any warning, I had to rush to find a new quote for another furniture company. Most of the furniture companies were entirely booked out and it placed us in a position to take the only provider available. The price was an additional $6,000, because they had to shuffle to fit us into their tight binding commitments to other customers. Had we had ample notice, we would have had a range of furniture companies from which to choose. This would have given us a range of prices to select from. Now, the prices that we are being charged for this last-minute option is more than what they had promised and what the other competitors back when we negotiated this priced with them. College Hunks forced us out of the good options back when we were shopping for furniture movers and were seduced into their offer. It is appalling that they did this to us and left us with no options. I reached out to them to see if they would be willing to pay some of the additional costs that I occurred all because of them cancelling on me at the last minute, but they did not response. I felt it was best that they minimize their costs by doing the right thing by me, their customer in the first place.In fact, I emailed their headquarters, and they did not respond as well. This is a disgusting company. Do NOT ***** ever use this furniture company as they have no idea how to treat their customers. ***************************

  Terrible experience. I paid 10k for my move and they caused 3k worth of damage including breaking an antique mirror and piercing a hole through a valuable original painting. The hint is in the name. The movers treat your belongings like junk! I paid a premium for insurance and when it came to collecting their claims team was unresponsive. I have never received a payout for the damage that was caused by the incompetence of the movers. Worst moving experience of my life!

  I am sorry to say I am a bit disappointed- the guys showed up yesterday after 10:30 and the truck was already half-full and I had almost a full truck - even sent in pictures. As a result we still have bunch of stuff here (about 1/4 to 1/2 truck). I asked if they could come back yesterday afternoon or today but I have not heard anything. I texted my original rep and filled out the personalized form on the website - crickets!! So I booked 'the other guys' for tomorrow. Very, very disappointed - especially not to get any replies.

  Initially, I was given an estimated quote of around $500-$700 for moving my belongings from a 2/2 apartment to a house. On the day of the move, the representative named ***** called me to ask if it was okay to add a third person to the team to help speed up the process due to the cold weather. He also asked if they could arrive an hour later than planned. I agreed and even made several trips with my car to assist with the move.The team started working at around 11 am, but one of the guys spent nearly two hours taking down a bed frame, while the other two did most of the work. I had anticipated that the move would be finished by 1 pm, as everything was already boxed up, organized by the front door, and ready to go. However, they were still working until 4 pm. At this point, I started to suspect that they were intentionally moving slowly.Feeling frustrated, I decided to head to the new house, which was about 40 minutes away, while the crew was wrapping up the load. They arrived at 5:30 pm, taking much longer than I expected. It took less than two hours to finish unloading and reassembling the bed frames. With the help of my family members, we did most of the unwrapping and storing of items.However, during the move, my TV was broken, and when I received my bill, it was over $1,600, which was more than double the original quote. They disclosed that they charged for the use of tape, plastic wrap, bubble wrap, boxing the items, and bagging them, as well as the long walk to the truck.This was not the worst moving experience, but I wouldn't recommend this company as they were not as professional as I anticipated. Not only did this move take way longer than intended, but I was also upsold on hiring a third guy who barely assisted with the move, in addition, to being blindsided by all the additional costs that were not explained before the service.Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone

  Typical bait and switch. The price estimate on the website said it was going to be approx. $89 dollars. This was for picking up a medium sized fridge which was no longer needed. I drove 45 minutes to meet the guys for the the pickup, they were early and very friendly. The price however is now $189! The sheet with the prices that the driver had were different than on the website. Be aware, if you use this service you will probably pay twice as much as you thought would be the price. In my case, I had no choice other than to accept the NEW price. If it had been at my primary residence I would never had accepted this price switch and sent them away, but I took 1.5 hrs out of my day to get this done and didn't have time to do it all again.

  The 89 dollar price is a starting point for a minimum pickup there are also a half and full truck price on the website. It is industry standard to list the prices this way and give an exact quote when on site. We always give a no obligation on site price. We are sorry you were confused by the pricing structure, but again, every company in our industry has the same process.
