Have lived in Florida 50 years and have gone thru 40 air conditioners. Performance just installed my latest one. They did a wonderful job. The project manager was very helpful, explaining our options for product selection covering all issues associated with each unit.The installation was trouble free with a team of two who worked well together demonstrating their high level of competence.The county inspector of the job indicated in his comments how well the install went.The unit is performing well and is as quiet as promised.Performance delivered as promised.*************************

My experiences with Performance have been very positive over the past several years, and my latest appointment yesterday was no exception. The office staff was very accommodating by scheduling a Sunday appointment on short notice for a bi-yearly check of my A/C. The technician arrived at the start of the four-hour window for the appointment, was very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. I have used performance for my A/C and also an electrical wiring issue. Everytime I have called their response time and customer ********************** has been terrific. I recently had them put in a new A/C unit and they gave me a portable unit to use until they could install new unit. They did the installation on Memorial Day. The inspector remarked what good work they did as he inspected. Thank you ************************* for a great job. Yesterday I had an issue which at first I thought was a bad microwave. I was going out this weekend to purchase a new one. However I attempted to used my toaster oven and that did not work either so I called Performance and electrician *********************** came and found the problem to be a wiring issue that he was able to repair and possibly avoid a fire. I have a son who owns an A/C business up north and another son who is an electrician. They both have complimented Performance for their work and are glad their Mom now has a reliable company to take care of problems that *** come up. Like many of the other reviews here, I signed up for their twice yearly maintenance plan. The technicians are fine, but every appointment I have made, usually 2-3 weeks in advance, has been rescheduled either late the evening before, or the latest one on the day of the appointment, apparently because they have overbooked. I have one preventive maintenance left that I have prepaid for, and then I will be looking for someone else to take care of my A/C. Zero Stars!Performance Air used to be my go-to place for AC work for many years.However, my last experience with them was a disaster!1. They would not honor a $25 "No Gimmicks" coupon I showed the technician.2. I agreed to pay for the work as to not get into a confrontation with the technician.3. I paid for a refrigerant leak test, but the estimate for the complete repair was over $3,000.4. I did not receive an invoice for the leak test until I called and requested one.5. I didn't get any replies when I contacted them via email with a photo of the coupon.6. I shopped around and found someone to fix the unit for 1/5 the cost. It was basically replacing the filter dryer.I do NOT recommend Performance Air.Performance Air Conditioning, Electric, & Plumbing

1 starOur first visit went well, so I signed up for their Gold Membership plan which was supposed to provide two A/C system tune-ups per year. When summer approached, I called for an appointment and was given August 1st, about 2 months away. On August 1st they called to cancel and bumped us up to September 16th, another 6 weeks away. On September 16 they called to cancel again, bumping us two full months into the middle of November! It was at this point I canceled the plan for lack of service and breach of contract.Review fromMichele H

1 starPerformance Air does not provide 24/7 service as their ads claim. True, they do answer the phone when you call, but that does NOT mean they have anyone available to fix the problem. Typically they will schedule you a few days later, then may or may not show for the appointment. I pointed out to customer service that just answering the phone 24/7 does not help when your plumbing or a/c isn't working--you need the problem fixed then. Their basic response to the misleading ad is "we're working on that." Again, answering the phone is not "available 24/7." The company pushes you to purchase more items, i.e, new a/c unit and services than are necessary. I've taken them to task on this previously w/ parts I later learned were overpriced. You can verify these claims by reviewing our account w/ them. If they need permission for you to do that, here it is.
