Through July 2022 - current date Waste Pro was been trying to collect a debt on a residence I do not live at. I have tried calling them from several month about this issue but as of Sept. 2022 they no longer return my calls. It has now been 5 months and they are threatening to send me to collections for a debt that is not mine.Business Response

On 06/28/2022 and after trying the WPF Blue Cart service for one month, I went to the City of Pembroke Pines' Utilities Department to stop the WPF Blue Cart service. The City of Pembroke Pines told me that I needed to call Waste Pro directly to stop the WPF Blue Cart service. On 06/28/2022, I called Waste Pro at 954-967-4200 (my first attempt to stop the WPF Blue Cart service). A representative said I will receive a credit for the service for the next billing cycle. In my Bill Date of 07/19/2022, the WPF Blue Cart fee remains on my billing. Approximately at the end of July 2022, I called Waste Pro for the second time to tell them that I am still being charged for the WPF Blue Cart service. When my 08/18/2022 and 09/20/2022's billing dates still showed the WPF Blue Cart service, I called Waste Pro for the third time (on 09/28/2022) and spoke with a representative to complain about the charges for the WPF Blue Cart service continue to appear on my bills. At this call, a representative said she will send request for $6.00 credit to her supervisor. Today, 10/22/2022, I received my Utilities Bill (from the City of Pembroke Pines), Bill Date was 10/19/2022 and Waste Pro continues to charge me for the WPF Blue Cart service. Since I called Waste Pro to cancel the WPF Blue Cart service, I continue to be charged for this service. Here are the billing dates showing that Waste Pro continues to charge me for the cancelled service: 07/19/2022, 08/18/2022, 09/20/2022, 10/19/2022. I would like Waste Pro to stop billing me for the service I had called to cancel and issue me a credit for $8.00. I hope after filing this complaint with BBB, I will not see the charges for this cancelled service and that Waste Pro issues a credit of $8.00 to my Utilities account.Business Response

I am a residential customer of Wastepro in the neighborhood of Heathrow. On 10/6/22, I came home from work to find my $400 bear resistant garbage can cracked, and the top rim bent to the point the locking mechanism is nowhere near connecting. I am certain this was done during garbage pickup. In talking with my HOA representatives and neighbors, it's my understanding there have been several complaints regarding the handling of residents' trash cans by Wastepro. I have seen firsthand the cans simply thrown to the ground, The lids on these cans are heavy and when handled in such a manner they are bound break. On more than one occasion, after trash collection, I've swept up broken glass in my cul de sac, where kids frequently play. In response to my complaint, a manager looked at my can and determined the damage was normal wear and tear. They refuse to repair or replace. I asked them to pull video from their truck, but I haven't heard back. Attached pictures show the damage is not normal wear and tear.Business Response

The resident reported the issue after the timeline we could request a video, so we do not have a video. Steve met with the cutomer on site at his house last Friday and took a picture of the bear cart. The reident spoke to Steve on the phone while Steve was out front an explained that this is a body tear and thus Waste Pro would not be responsible for replacing the bear cart. This is a warranty issue and he would need to contact Seminole County as they purchased the bear carts. However, the lock mechanism is under warranty for 90 days and the body warranty is only valid for 1 year, per the manufacturer, TOTER. Steve stated that he estimated the bear cart was 3-4 years old.

I requested video ONE DAY after the incident. See attached email! How long are videos kept?? Toter's limited warranty does not cover negligence, which is what we are dealing with. I completely reject this response. Again, how long are videos kept??

On January 24, 2022, Waste Pro was paid $138.31 to cover our account for the entire year of 2022. This payment was paid via phone call to the Athens Georgia location. I received a bill from Waste Pro, dated September 1, 2022, for the amount of $10.86 for the fourth quarter billing cycle. I have made numerous attempts to contact the company. Experiencing long hold times (up to 20 minutes) with the calls never being answered. I have left more than one voicemail, requesting a return call, which have been ignored. Due to the fact that my local city government promotes and encourages residence to use Waste Pro, I plan to contact the city offices to inform them of the issues that I am experiencing.Business Response

Waste Pro Jackson has not been emptying our dumpster each Wednesday as contracted. The service went from sporadic beginning in July of this year to nonexistent the latter part of September. We have called repeatedly and sent emails each time they have failed to pick up and they promised to pick up but rarely did (maybe once or twice). The reason they said was that they lacked drivers. I do not believe we need to pay for service we're not getting.All we want is for them to take their old dumpster and the trash in it away because we contracted with another vendor. I do not believe we need to pay the last bill because I paid the previous month in advance (and they didn't pick up at all) and the dumpster is overflowing with trash. We have to keep the other bags inside because there is no room for them in the dumpster.Business Response

I am a new home buyer and purchased a property in the city of *******. Prior to moving in I placed a call on 09/26/2022 to Waste Pro and requested trash bins, I moved in with my family on 10/01 and since then I have been calling and speaking to multiple reps requesting trash bins. Finally, I get transferred to a supervisor named Magda, well after voicing my complaint and frustration to Magda she was so quick to advise that she would have the bins delivered on Saturday 10/15. I knew that this was just an attempt to get me off the phone and I was right. To date I have 16 days of garbage piling up in my yard and no one from Waste Pro wants to help. I am so disappointment and frustrated!! This is my first encounter with unprofessional and careless service so far since moving into the community. I need trash bins its that simple. Im currently filing a complaint with the city of ******* because I cannot continue to have trash piling up in the yard, I have small children who plays in the yard and its starting to smell. Also this can attract rodents and unwanted animals on the property and I can get fined. I did receive the bin finally, however, I am still left with now 18 days of garbage in my yard while waiting on the bin and it does not all fit. The guy that delivered the bin did help with placing some of the bags in the bin for me and that's when we discovered maggots. I was told to wait until Saturday pickup to fit the rest but it will not all fit.

I have made several complaints to waste pro to advise the bad service we're receiving. Our trash cans are always thrown all over the road at 1 time they even broke one of the trash container lids and waste pro did replace the trash container and promised me things would change but they have not. My most recent complaint is that our Yard waste was not picked up last week. The week before they only took 2 of the 15 cans that was out for pick up. I called in got a story due to hurricane Ian there is a bit of delay so they're not picking up 15 cans it's limited to 5 in 5 I completely understand, However he picked up 2 cans not 5 cans so still there is a service problem. I was told someone would be out that Saturday to pick up, Of course no one showed up. Called on Monday spoke with management again and they gave me the same promise they gave me the week before the young lady I spoke with that was rude promised me someone was going to at least pick up pick up the 5 cans that I am allotted because they missed our Wednesday pick up. I called back around 3 o'clock because no one showed they told me it's not the end of the day and someone was going to show up, Of course no one showed up. At our curb There are a total of 15 bags/cans of yard debris, this has been at the curb for 3 weeks, this this is unacceptable. We are paying for a service that we're actually not getting so I do expect see a credit on my upcoming utility bill for this or this inconvenience.
FYI. It's Saturday 10:43am that I'm writing this message and and no one has been here to pick up the yard to pray yet.Business Response

I spoke with ****** this morning and explained the issue with the yard waste collection due to the Hurricane. Seminole County directed us to take 5 bags of yard waste in an attempt to service as many customers on the yard waste routes as possible. I explained to her that Seminole County authorized us to provide additional yard waste service this Saturday and I would ensure her yard waste is collected this Saturday. I live in a city that was just heavily impacted by hurricane Ian. During the storm, I lost my garbage and recycle bins. I immediately went onto the website and requested new bins. I was told it would take up to 45 days. This is not an issue for me except that waste pro has refused to pick up my garbage for the past 3 weeks! The first week was the day of the hurricane so that is understandable. However, the following week when service was supposed to resume as normal, our house and most of our street was skipped. The garbage truck came down our street, dumped a bunch of disgusting trash water on our road and then left without picking up our's and our neighbors' trash. I emailed the following day to figure out what was going on and I was told that the issue would be handled and our trash would be picked up. That didn't happen. The truck came around again the following week on the scheduled day. They proceeded to pick up most but not all of our street's trash. Of course, they skipped our house again. I sent an email again. I was told that our trash would be picked up right away. It wasn't. I called 2 days later and spoke to a very nice and apologetic customer service representative named Mike. He called down to ask and then assured me that my house was scheduled for pickup that day and that the truck would be by possibly late. No one came by. I don't know what is going on, but it cannot continue for the next month while I wait for my garbage cans! I already have garbage sitting in bags in front of my house that have been there for almost 3 weeks! Needless to say, our neighborhood smells terrible! I have followed the rules outlined on the company's website and via the local news outlets pertaining to bagged garbage. It is in a separate pile at my curb and everything is in bags. I've been told by all of the customer service reps I've spoken to that this is acceptable and that my garbage would be picked up. I didn't email them at all last week. It really seems as though this company doesn't care at all. My first email was sent to them on October 5th. They finally picked up my trash yesterday after I was told for the 3rd time a week prior that my garbage would definitely be picked up. This was over the phone, not via email. I called because I was so tired of my emails being basically disregarded and responded to in the same cryptic, unconcerned manner as the business' response above. I truly believe that the only reason my trash was picked up this week was because my stayed up all night just so he could go outside and watch while the garbage truck came down our street. Is this what it takes for everyone to get their trash picked up?? Thanks, but no, thanks! While I am relieved that my trash has finally been picked up and is no longer rotting and smelling in front of my house, there are still many people on my street with their trash in bags on the curb whose trash was skipped and not picked up. While my problem has been fixed for now, it's clear that THE problem is far from being fixed. This company has some serious work to do before they regain my respect and the respect of the citizens of Cape Coral. The only reason that they do business here is because of a contract with the city. Otherwise, I can assure you that very few citizens of this town would choose to utilize their services. Waste Management is much better in my experience. Waste Pro needs to step up their game before they lose their job here. Waste Pro service providers for this area is constantly knocking the trash and recycling bins full of garbage down and will not clean it up. This has been a constant problem and complaint have already been made to the company but the company does absolutely nothing but be ignore corrections to employee actions and leave paying customers and community members to clean up there mess. I'm filing every complaint I possibly can against this companies constant disregard for their job duties and neighborhood service areas.
