I placed an order for gold coins with Gainsville Coins and wired them the funds close to two months ago and they have not shipped me the coins. I have called several times and they have a different excuse every time that I call. IE supply, mint, in the que along with others. Very concerned.Business Response

As stated in my voicemails and emails to Gainesville Coin, I ordered 2 American Gold Eagles 0n 5/26/2023. My check for $4166.97 was cashed by Gainesville Coin and cleared my bank on 5/30/23. It has been over seven weeks and I have yet to have the 2 American Gold Eagle coins (which I've paid for in full) delivered to me. I need them to give me an actual delivery date, as their original delivery date of June 16th has long since passed. (writing this on 7/23/2023) This is not my first online purchase from a precious metals dealer, having bought from APMEX and SD Bullion, however this is the worst experience in both delay of delivery and lack of communication from a company. I Initiated by my second phone call to your company on 7/14/2023 to check on the order status. Only to be told my order is in the queue, with no specific delivery date. I received an email from you after my second phone call, it lacked info on a shipping date. It has now been over 7 weeks since my check cleared and 5 weeks since your date of delivery of 6/16/23 as listed on my purchase documents. Your company has not even given me an amended/anticipated delivery date. This is unacceptable. Meanwhile, my order from SD Bullion, ordered on July 8th, has already been shipped, tracked, and delivered. SD delivered 10 days after my check cleared with them. ********** has ignored my requests for a shipping date and date of anticipated delivery.It is obvious to me now from reading other customer reviews that ********** Coin is selling items they do not have in stock to me and others and this is not even close to the industry standard. I also will be contacting the ******* ********** of *********** and ******** Services and the Hillsborough County *******************************. ********** Coin has my money. Ordered 60 silver rounds # ***-500166 on June 9, 2023 sent a check for $1,673.45 which they acknowledged as received on June 14, 2023 . On 6/20, ******* at Gainesville Coins agreed that they would liquidate (buy) my 100 90-halves silver, which were being stored at Gainesville Coins, for $1785 and deduct the fees and shipping costs, totaling $1001.56, I owed from the payment she would send me. So the amount Gainesville owes me is $783.44. My husband and I signed the liquidation form and sent it to ******* the same day. I was told that we would receive the money within about 10 days. I have not received the money and have sent repeated emails, left several voice messages, and spoken several times to customer service at ********************** coin asking that ******* contact me and give me an update on the status of this transaction. I am shocked at this complaint and will be calling this customer asap We did her Purchase order after she made numerous calls regarding her sale with different instructions on 6/19/2023, her check was mailed on 6/22/2023 and cashed on 6/23/23 which I will be happy to show in documentation. We paid this sale faster than our usual processing time. There is something no right about this complaint and I am forwarding it on to our legal department.

Order placed May 10, 2023 and my money was cashed. I emailed Gainesville on July 4 and was told then that order was going out within the next two days. No order no followup. I contacted them again last week and was advised that the order would be received by me the following week. No order arrived. I called them today and spoke with *** to cancel my order and asked for my money back. He advised that he was sending my check out today. I purchased metals (gold and silver) from GC on May 26, 2023. Sent them a check for $2,627.78. They cashed it upon receipt. I have not received the ordered products, customer service at ********************** repeatedly tells me that they have no idea when the order will ship out. I have been waiting for a resolution for six weeks. I believe Gainesville Coins to be running a mail/wire fraud scam. I am rejecting this response because:The employee's at Gainesville Coins are far better at making excuses than properly conducting business. After waiting six weeks for my order to be fulfilled, I told their shipping manager via email that I expected my order to be fulfilled immediately, or have my money returned. I was told that day that my order would be cancelled and my money returned via check. That was a full week ago, I have yet to receive the check, meaning it was not mailed when I was told it was, if at all. It would appear these guys are as inept at returning an extremely dissatisfied customer's money as they are at fulfilling a customer's purchase within a reasonable amount of time. Additionally, because I told the shipping manager that I intended to wage complaints concerning wire fraud with both the *** and the ***** I was threatened, by the shipping manager, with legal action.
Will my money be returned? I have no idea. If it ever shows up, will the check bounce? I would not be surprised. I wish I had used a CC. I could have cancelled the order weeks ago and gone elsewhere with my money.
After reading numerous similar complaints on the BBB website, it is incomprehensible to me (and many, many others) that this company enjoys an A+ rating. Obviously, the BBB rating means nothing.

Placed order #******, on 4/29/2023 for 380 ounces of silver, they said would be delayed till 6/19/2023 and as of today 7/12/2023 still have not received them. They received and cashed my certified check on 6/1/2023. My first phone call was to ****** that answers (I feel bad for her) is very nice but she obviously has no control. Her answer was that they will should ship out in 2 weeks and I should have received an email. After the phone call, she did send an email stating they would ship in 2 weeks and they ship from a Q, but items didn't ship as stated and still no shipping date on there site. Made an additional call today waited on hold for 15 minutes and ****** stated nothing she can do, try to contact shipping. I have sent an email to **************************** in shipping but his email came back undeliverable?? What gets me is they are still taking orders for these exact items. Should they still be selling/taking orders for the items until they get the ones already sold out the door. This looks suspiciously like the "robbing ***** to pay ****" , many companies in trouble engage in this type of practice right before they go bankrupt.Business Response

First of all **************** placed his order on 5/30/2023 and paid for it on 6/1/2023 by check which always carries a 10 business day hold to clear, 2nd we spoke to this customer multiple times and explained the products he order were delayed due to a mint delay which was beyond our control It clearly states on our website there may be additional delays due to unforeseen circumstances, of which they agree too when placing their orders online. I placed an order May 15 to Gainesville coins concerning a purchase of 4 silver bars. After my credit card cleared they were supposed to deliver my purchase in early June. It was then delayed to early July. It is now 12 July and I have not had any update or delivery to date, even though my credit card was charged in May. I placed an order with Gainesville coin back in early May. They emailed me that they received my check on May 18th. With their 10 day hold on checks and the advertised 3 week shipping date I should be able to pick my coins ** in the middle of June. It is now in to July. After reading numerous bad reviews and complaints I called the company to see what the status was. I was told on three separate calls that a supervisor would call me back. They never have. I was also told my coins would be ready the next day (which didnt happen). Can the BBB help - there are a ton of complaints with this company as of the past few months.
