      My grandmother called FiveStar to look at the drain for her washing machine as it was running over. The tech Douglas peeked in the house and then peeked at the pipes from the crawl space door. The pipes are 20ft at least from the door and behind all kinds of duct work and footings. You absolutely cannot get a good assessment from the door. He comes back with a quote that ranged from 11k to 25k to fix a slow drain. She's 86 and on a fixed income. These prices are astronomical for someone who works full time much less a retired elderly widow. I came over and cleared the clog in about an hour. The pipes are old but there is no corrosion or leaks anywhere. All he had to do is take the pipes apart and clear the clog. Not try to gouge a little old lady out of 25k. Very dirty business practices and extremely disrespectful.

      Avoid at all costs. Completely rip off. All the techs are on commission and will pay 10x what other plumbers charge. All the 5 star reviews are fake. Paid over 4k to replace water heater. Presured my wife to make immediate payment. Predatory business.

      Max ************** you must be referring to a different company.Even so, I will address your concerns: - Our techs are pair hourly to avoid the issues that can result from commission-based pay. - Our prices are very much in line with other company's that provide comparable quality and service. - Our standard practice is to make payment for services rendered before the technician leaves. This is explained to all clients by our *********** and the Technician. - All pricing is presented and explained before the work is done. The work performed for you was far more than you standard water heater, and you had the option to decline prior to the work being performed if you found the price disagreeable.Regards,********************
