2 starsPurchased a home in ********* community in *********. Initially had a good feeling, but that all changed after the closing. They provide a one year warranty on your home, but do not honor it. There is a large hole in siding and they refuse to repair because we hadn't moved in for three months after closing and did not notice until now. As suggested by the service **** there is no way the damage occurred after the closing/walk through as we haven't had any contractors at the home. The only other person would be my nephew who mows the lawn with ride mower with a bagger and has painted. Additionally, there is about a 1x6 inch chunk of concrete that has already fallen off the front step, which they say is not part of the warranty. Fairly certain that concrete should not break off over 3 months without anyone living in the home. We also had two electrical outlets not wired correctly, which they did fix without issue. The **** outlets are placed throughout the house incorrectly, such as the hallway instead of the bathroom. The walk through was very rushed and not nearly enough time to closely look at all the defects and issues. Again, happy with sales and mortgage staff, but they clearly rushed to finish the home before closing as evidenced by the shoddy finishing work on the base molding, caulk, large amount of debris left on top of fridge, rust in both shower and tub, door k*** lock on outside of a room, etc. My advice, ensure you have enough time to thoroughly walk through home and note all defects you want repaired if you decide to purchase a home from Lennar. It is unfortunate that a company like Lennar does not honor their warranty when the damage was clearly done by their construction or other crews.***** KReview fromCynthia S

1 starI purchased a Lennar home in April of 2024. In July 2024, I submitted my first ***air request to be covered under my one-year warranty. My local *** is personable and pleasant; however, the communication has been lacking, and there have been multiple delays, no-shows from trades coming to complete ***airs, and rescheduled visits. Our ceiling appeared wavy and uneven, and the drywall ***resentative stated nothing was wrong. We had to escalate the concern, and finally, after one month, the truss company, drywall company, and local area manager came in and agreed to ***air my ceiling. The drywall and paint ***airs required us to nit-pick and remind them of every ***air needed, and even those marked with tape had the tape removed but no touch-up completed. Since July, we have been fighting with Lennar to ***air or ***lace our tile. Over **************************** the kitchen, hall bath, and master bath. Lennar could not find the matching dye lot for two months, then after coming in to see the extent of work to be completed, they stated they had found the matching tiles. We did not think the tiles matched the appropriate color and denied them and their ***lacement. We asked Lennar to provide the next steps and additional options but received the run-around. We asked our *** to provide his supervisor's contact information for over a week, and he REFUSED. He assured us he would call this week, but it is now Friday, and there has been no call or resolution. This request has been open for three months. We have had multiple canceled or rescheduled ***air visits over these three months, creating a hardship for my family and I, including a toddler and my 88-year-old grandmother. We have been more than accommodating and patient, but we need a favorable resolution.Review fromGreg V

Thank you, Lennar Corporation, for building our quality home here in Welsey Chapel, FL. The hurricane standards and quality of craftsmanship that went into our home, protected me and my family through Hurricane Milton. We made it through 90+ mile an hour sustained winds and gusts more than 100 MPH for hours without any compromise in the homes structure or roof. This morning after inspecting our home, there was no damage to the roof, flashing, or water penetrations into the home anywhere. We are so grateful that we have this quality constructed home that was able to keep us safe as the category 3 hurricane Milton tore through the Tampa Bay area. I highly recommend a Lennar home in Florida to anyone who wants a piece of mind knowing that the standards that the company puts into their homes will keep the families that purchase them, safe from harm during hurricanes or other storm conditions. Thank you again Lennar for being a home builder who believes in quality and protecting their consumers in Florida from severe weather events.Lennar Homes, LLC

1 star****** with LENNAR Homes (469-587-536nine) is a terrible, uneducated, and rude *** they have as the face of their company. I reached out with my specific details for a new home. She was short, and only said Lennar was not able to help me because "they don't offer that", which is a lie.... She insissted that's all they offer and was basically turning me away. When I asked for other builders in the area THAT DO offer what I'm looking for, she refused to help or educate me on builders that I should actually get in touch with since LENNAR can't help. Insanely unprofessional and absurb, so rude. It's not a conflict of interest if I can't be a customer of ******************** based on her information shared. She made sure that we will NEVER be a customer now. Thanks ******!!! (middle finger)Review fromThomas C

The Warranty repair team has been the worst. Weve suffered through ****** being the peak of Summer heat with no air flow in our Master Bedroom and living room. Time and time again they keep blowing me off and when they do show up its never on the correct *********** and there is always an excuse why they couldnt fix it. I went to talk with the construction team in person and was nearly attacked and surrounded with them being aggressive and trying to intimidate me just for simply asking for a straight answer. It was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Ive never been treated that way before and none of them were apologetic or understanding. I work full time and cannot continue to take all this time off work to be home and not have them ever fix the issue. Its been extremely hot and why cant they just fix the air flow already. Then to be nearly attacked when I went into the office to ask a question. This is highly unacceptable and I strongly urge the public to not buy a Lennar Home, especially one at the Riverstone community in ******, **.Lennar Homes, LLC

Home is 3 years old. In that short Amount of time. 1/2 of my floor tiles are cracked, tenting or loose. 2 roof leaks. Numerous electrical issues with lights flickering like a strobe light. Floors creak. Faucets had to be replaced. All the grout in shower and tub had to be replaced. Circuit breakers blow often. Ac fan motor had to be replaced. Smart home features didnt have cable and or cat 5 wires installed. Doors dont close correctly or able to lock due to misalignment. Outside electrical was never installed to code with chalking. Had outlets burn up cause small electrical fires. Good luck getting an warranty item fixed. It will not happenLennar Homes, LLC

1 starIn July 2023 we purchased a new Lennar home in a 55+ community in P*** ST L****, **. I realize this is a cookie-cutter home, maybe six or seven models to choose from. Like every new home, some issues needed to be taken care of, warranty items. The problems began when I tried to communicate with the warranty department. I kept getting the same answer "That's normal". I spent 35 years in construction, stucco is not supposed to crack and sag within 4 months. We have had 37 tiles replaced in our home, under each one the concrete slab was cracked. We have been told that any cracked tiles in the future will be our responsibility, even if the slab is cracked underneath. The stucco was bulging and cracked over my back patio. The stucco super intendant told me it was "NORMAL" BS I had to get outright nasty vulgar and rude to get him to admit that it was sub-par and unacceptable. My BIGGEST complaint however has been the garage floor. From day one I have complained about the HUGE cracks in the floor. I'm not exaggerating, my home in ********** was 40 years old and the garage floor had only a few hairline cracks, and that is in an earthquake zone. The first response to my complaint was of course "That's normal", I was then told to just keep painting the floor until it fills the cracks. They are so stupid, unprofessional, and uneducated in construction that they kept calling it "masonry" and quoting from the warranty book. Masonry and concrete slabs are two different subjects. Finally, they agreed to a repair, however it is just a band-aid. I refuse to let them do a half-assed cover-up. I was offered a cash settlement, which so far I have refused because I can't find a contractor willing to make the proper repairs for the amount offered. Lennar is a Fortune 500 company, I shouldn't have to go to extremes like this just to get them to man up and admit their mistake and FIX IT. This is probably the last home I will purchase and it is literally crumbling apart.Review fromHeather G

1 starThis was the worst experience from beginning to end. I received an email promoting a handful of Lennar homes for a Labor Day special dated 8/29 - 9/4. The one I viewed on 9/1 was advertised at 305K. About five hours later, when I called to make an offer, the price had "just" increased to 347K. They eventually lowered the price, but NOT to what it was when I viewed the home. At my New Home Orientation walkthrough, I was given a brochure advertising components of the home that I was going to receive as part of Lennar's "Connected Home, Everything's Included" package. And when I say "given," I mean the Lennar representative shoved it through my car window as I drove away because he did not actually show up for the walkthrough. When I called to inquire about the Ring alarm system, I was informed that I should never have received this brochure (not my fault), and if I wanted to, I could use their preferred internet provider, who would give me a gift card that I could take myself and "put it toward" purchasing my own security system.... seriously? The mortgage side was woefully unresponsive and kept me in the dark. Many emails went unanswered. I did not receive my closing disclosure until 24 hours before closing, among other things. I would not purchase a Lennar home again.Review fromShannon S

1 starThe worst company I've ever had to work with in any real estate transaction in my life. This is not a problem with only one person or one department, this is a systemic culture problem within the company as a whole and how they choose to operate their business and treat their customers. We worked with the sales team, the mortgage team, the building team, and the community management team throughout our purchase of our Lennar home. All of the representatives that we communicated with were repeatedly unprofessional, at times disrespectful, manipulative, lied repeatedly to us about various contractual items, and they made it incredibly obvious that they had zero respect or care for their customers. It was difficult to not take their treatment towards us personally, but it became obvious to us after enough months of working with them that they treat everyone like this. Their company culture is to never take responsibility, never pay for damages or repairs caused by their negligence, and do whatever it takes at any cost to get their sales money and lock customers into restrictive and manipulative contracts. We will never be purchasing a home through Lennar again.
