My Whirlpool refrigerator made a loud noise. Next day my granddaughter choked on a piece of plastic ice maker. I called Whirlpool to advise them of the defect, and ask if there was a recall, or replacement part. They said they would only know that if a Whirlpool contractor will affirm it. They told me to contact Flamingo Appliance Repair. I did and set up an appointment. They told me up front that the fee was $148.00, plus the cost of parts, and I agreed. The tech showed up, took out six screws, unplugged the broken unit, installed the new unit in 10 minutes. He was at our address and spent time supposedly asking Whirlpool if they covered the cost, which they didn't. He was at our home for 22 minutes, and charged $448.19 . I called Flamingo and asked for a bill several times. One month later I received the receipt. I over paid by $ ******. When I called about the over billing they told me that I agreed to the price, and that is my fault, that I did not ask for the price of the part, before paying. They are right, I didn't, and took their word as assumably reputable people. I have filed a complaint with ************* Attorney General to seek a refund. I would have done better with a local contractor.Flamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

We apologize for the experience described. Our records show that our technician called the manufacture to try and get an authorization for the repair at the moment of the service, but it was denied. I have taken 7 days off from work now for a washing machine repair. The first time they identified the problem and had to order parts, no problem, 2 nd time they came to install the parts and apparently they needed additional parts, not happy but ok I understand, 3rd time they didnt put the parts on the truck and had to reschedule, 4th time they didnt schedule enough time for the repair and had to cancel. I have been without a working washer for a month now and with a family of 5 it has not been easy. 5 days I have had to ask for the day off from work because they dont give a timeframe until the night before. My claim was then canceled and I had to call my warranty company again to reopen the claim, then had to take another day off for a technician to come out and diagnose, again, because it was a new claim ticket. The 7th time they came out, with the parts, fixed my washer and I noticed a huge crack in the drum of the washer, called the company who told me I have to call my warranty company again for them to open another ticket, so because they either installed a broken drum, or broke it during the fix they cant fix their error until I open another claim! It has now been over 2 months with no working washer, $100s of dollars in laundry mat fees, 7 days of missed work, and I continue to be without a working washer because of them!Flamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

I requested a repair for the ice maker on my Whirlpool refrigerator and you recommended Flamingo Appliance. I scheduled the visit for July 8, 2024. The technician came to my house to try to fix the problem, but all he did was give me more headaches! I reiterate that the technician did absolutely nothing to fix the ice maker problem! Initially, he told me that I would have to turn off the refrigerator for 3 days to defrost it and be able to open the ice maker drawer, so I told him that I couldn't keep the refrigerator off that long due to the food I had inside it. Then he suggested that I buy another refrigerator and then put it in the garage as an extra when I had fixed the other one! I thought his suggestion was absurd! Since I didn't accept that, he suggested that I replace the entire ice maker at a cost of $505. There were no broken parts! The ice maker drawer wouldn't open, so he grabbed a huge hammer and pulled the drawer out with great force to get it open. At that moment, a small part of the drawer's fitting broke and it opened. He took the drawer out to inspect it, but didn't find anything wrong, so he put it back in its place. And he even charged me an additional $120 for labor! He was the one who should have paid me for a new drawer that HE broke! He left without solving the problem and charged me $269, $149 for the technical visit and diagnosis and $120 for labor. He came to my house, but if he did diagnose anything, he did it wrong! The next day, even though I was dissatisfied with the "service provided", I took the drawer out and noticed that the problem was the wear on the thread connecting the motor to the solenoid that pushes the ice to the ice compartment door outlet, causing it to slide without being able to turn the part. I bought the new part myself and got it working! Therefore, I do not accept paying for absolutely anything that this company charged me. I don't know how ********* still has this company on its list of accredited companies!Flamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

please do not use this compony service is the worst. the tech that was sent to my house was in and out 5 mins at the most and my washer was still not working. When trying rescheduling with them it was a big chaos and another big one to speak to supervisor. I would give a -1 star to this company in generalFlamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

I had an appointment today with an 8-10 window. ***** was the technician who arrived shortly after 8:00. He was very friendly yet professional. It took about 20 minutes for him to diagnose and repair the issue. Flamingo had been quick in responding to my initial request and confirmed the appointment the day before, the morning of and ***** texted me when he was 10 minutes away. I would give zero stars if I could. I had an appointment 7-9-24 between 2-5 To fix my ice maker. I missed the techs call by 8 minutes. After 3 return calls and 3 text no word back from the tech. I called the office 1 hour after all the calls and text to be told we cant come today. We will see you tomorrow. Now I have to miss a 2nd day of work to get something fixed that was supposed to be done yesterday. I had an 11-2 appointment today. I missed the service techs call by 20 minutes and called the office immediately only to be told they cant come again. 20 minutes REALLY. WORST CUSTOMER ********************** EVER. Horrible experience. Customer ********************** blames everyone but does not take ownership of their mistakes. 3 scheduled visits and no repairs for my washing machine. First they said parts will take a few days. Then showed up and with no parts and when I called they said I refused the service. Now they show up without the parts again they were expediting parts. This company is horrible. It took almost 3 weeks to get my washer repaired. First, a worker called in sick, then I was asked if I wanted morning or afternoon. I requested afternoon on the given day. They called me at 10:30 in the morning and I was not home. It took another week to schedule for the "diagnosis" then yet another week to bring parts and repair the washer. Then I requested a receipt for all payments. They sent me a piece of paper with the name of the three replaced parts. What is wrong with these people. Do they not know how to run a business, or are they too busy to care.Flamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

Honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would. This company is a massive joke. Its interesting that the reviews Im reading are right on par for my experience. Required to use this piece of c*** company because my Whirlpool is still under warranty. Tech comes out the first time, doesnt call before he shows up as promised, stays 2 minutes, leaves. Comes back once I have a recording of issue, doesnt call before hand as promised, stays 2 minutes, orders a damper. Comes back, doesnt call as promised, installs part, an hour later, same issue happened again. Called for another appt, given window he would arrive, he never shows up. I call, ** told he knew what part to order by guessing the next possible issue since he doesnt know exactly. Never called me to let me know he wasnt coming. Call service **** again, set up appt for today, 1-4, tech never shows, I call and am told that the notes say called customer left a vm - was by my phone all day and didnt receive a call at all (lazy, lying piece of crap). Called and no one could help me. Contacted Whirlpool directly. They submitted a request for a different tech. Have no faith that this will get fixed.
