      ******* D:I am going to echo "**** S" from below: "I've been using tracfone wireless now for three years. Up till now I've had no complaints. But since getting the new ******* sim card I've had nothing but trouble. Ive spent two months now of them shutting the internet off every few days. I keep calling and no one knows anything about how to resolve my problem. I am looking for another phone service. This phone company has gone to h*** Not wasting anymore money or time on this foreigners and their tool buckets. Wouldn't recommend tracphone to my worst enemy." Trying to transition to next generation was hugely problematic, a Tracfone service tech finally got my compatible Tracfone SIM-installed phone working - worked fine for 6 months, service suddenly stopped on 6/16/22 - advised that my PHONE WASN'T COMPATIBLE WITH THE NETWORK, AFTER 6 MONTHS SUCCESSFUL USE. I sent a detailed Certified/Return Receipt letter to Tracfone ********************************* with no response from this vendor. Prepaid service is non-refundable, thus I am out @$100 on balance of contract. Never again.

      I went to refill my Tracfone's minutes and service time using a card purchased at ******** I did this on the Tracfone web site and was told there that the refill was successful. Only problem was that the phone no longer makes or receives calls. I was then told by Tracfone's so-called "customer service" that my phone was no longer compatible with my local cell service. When I asked about a refund, I was told to go to ******** but, of course, the card is non-refundable. Tracfone has essentially stolen $20 from me. Unless you enjoy being ripped off, there is no reason to use Tracfone. Also, when making other telecommunication decisions (TV, Internet, etc.) remember that ******* owns Tracfone. Do you want to do business with a company like this?

      My 88 year old mother has a Tracfone that was obsoleted (3G). Tracfone changed to a 5G. Tracfone sent her a new phone. We called the phone number (as instructed) to get it activated and the ***** minutes moved over. We started our call at 2pm and ended it at 8pm. Speaking to many Tech and ***************************** Since they stopped the service on the old phone, we cannot use it for calls or receive a text. They said they needed to send a text message for their security purposes. Since the phone no longer has service, they can't. One person tried to get it temporarily turned back on so we could get the text. She was going to call us back but never did. The last person (Harleeen) said we were given false information. They can't turn the phone back on and pretty much washed her hands of us. You can't get help. They say "If you don't use them, you don't use them" which is not true. We bought her a $100 gift card for $100 in February and still had a balance but we were told they can't transfer them and gave us no other direction to take. She lost the remaining ***** minutes she had on a phone she did not want to get rid of but was forced to by Tracfone. They need to turn on the old phone so they can do their security check and get my mom her minutes that were paid for.

      Plan: $20/month prepaid Tracfone plan (unlimited talk, text with 1GB of data that can be rolled over from month to month without any restriction/limitation--the only reason I have stayed with Tracfone based on my usage at a given time period).What happened: Tracfone took all my saved/rollover data away (about 30GB saved up over a long time so I can use it for GPS navigation across the U.S. and ****** on vacation). The reason given: "you have not used it yet, so we are taking it away"--contrary to the promises the company has made to customers--bait and switch deceptive practice, right? Not surprised that they are paying $40 million for a class action lawsuit on empty/hollow practices of unlimited data. Attempts for a resolution: contacted Tracfone multiple times hoping to get it resolved--get all the data that I have paid for and saved up back, but to no avail. Tracfone staff and supervisors all gave my inquiries the complete disregard, some behaved rudely to say the least, I was always bounced around then hang up on. Time to switch to a different phone provider that is much more trustworthy.WARNING: The keyword with Tracfone is data which they do not seem to have when they bait you for your money--Tracfone wants your money every month, the more the merrier, but the company uses bait and switch method to steal your promised data away after they pocketed your money. RED ALERT: sign up with Tracfone at your own risk! ***************** outsourced to foreign countries. Often times substandard, nonprofessional, and clueless, on top of that you may get nasty attitudes if you hope to get something resolved. Completely disappointed, not worth the money I have paid for, nor the time I have to put tons of aside to hope to get issues addressed. I am running for the hills, and already chosen a different provider.

      My wife and I were both contacted by Tracfone and told to order a ******* compatible SIM card and switch to ******* by July 22nd. We spent greater than 9 hours on the phone with low level people in *************** who were completely incompetent and were not qualified to assist us. It took until the following day and many hours on the phone to get to a person who could assist her and send us the correct SIM card. Again! I am trying to get my phone switched from Tracfone to *******'s network and have exhausted my patients after 9 hours on the phone with incompetent poor English speaking people who are contracted by ******* to hide their problem with the acquisition of Tracfone.

      Attempted to make a bulk order for a business procurement - 20 mobile devices and 20 phone cards.If you attempt to purchase more than 5 mobile devices online, you have to contact their customer support. Their website does not work with bulk orders. Call #1: my order was taken via phone. I was told that I would receive a phone call from a representative to confirm my order as well as to provide payment over phone with our P-card. Six days pass and no confirmation call received. Call #2: I was told that my order was never fulfilled which is allegedly the reason why I did not receive a confirmation call. Details provided to representative regarding my order a second time. I was told that I would receive another confirmation call and told that they could not provide an exact time as to when I would receive said call. Another six days pass and I am yet to receive this call from their ordering department. Call #3: I was told that there were no records on file regarding my order. Now escalated, I demanded to speak to a supervisor. Wait time to speak to a supervisor was approx. 20 minutes. I reexplained the entire situation - the supervisor input my bulk order for the the third time and marked as urgent. I was told that I would have to wait for another call from their ordering department. I had asked why she couldn't transfer me over and she stated she couldn't because she did not have their extension. This supervisor had also said that she could not provide a time frame as to when someone would reach out to me and that she didn't want to give me "false hope". I asked if I could speak to her manager and she had stated there's nobody else above her in the hierarchy, which I'm certain is not true. She proceeded to continue on about how she's helping yet couldn't assure me that my order would be fulfilled.At this moment, I do not believe that my order will be placed nor will I receive a confirmation call or an email from anyone.

      My mother had a tracfone for several years then one day this year she just had no service. Well i figured just like my phone it was because of the 5g switch over. My phone was through consumer cellular they actually notified me through my e-mail i needed a new phone before any service disruption,but i had to pay for my new phone. Things went smoothly with that transition. My mother received no notice that we know of her phone was needing replacement it was just used for making and receiving calls. we called and yes they sent a new flip phone we ordered promptly. Problem was the over 500 min she bought on her old phone would not be replaced or any other information could not be transferred over to the new phone. I called back when we decided to keep the tracfone service and was told that yes your old phone is still good we can re-activate it, but that was not the case we had to buy a whole new plan when i talked to someone else and it had to be on the new phone. I guess my real complaint would be these customer service people not understanding what is going on or being on the same page so to speak and this company not doing enough to notify people about their services ending and losing minutes before the update. As well it was hard understanding their representatives.

      I am writing this to make others aware of the fine print, scams and fees they charge that even their reps cannot explain. I have had a tracfone on and off for several years and had 5 lines with them. Every time I leave I say I will never go back and I do. However, shame on me for trying again and again. This is the last straw. I purchased a tracfone with a 1 month service for my son in 2021 with an additional 12 months of service the following month. After having the phone and service for 13 months I tried to transfer the phone to my carrier and was told I had to pay a fee of $6 plus taxes because I didnt have 12 months of continuous service. The fifth customer service rep I spoke to could see I met the requirement, however, was not able to unlock it. I was transferred again to someone who told me the reason was the phone was not currently activea new reason for having to pay the fee. He again transferred me to someone else and after ringing for 3 minutes I hung up. The money is small but now principle. If someone could be honest with me about the fee I would have no issues, but my many years of having service with track phone have been this way. I will NEVER recommend tracfone nor will I EVER purchase service with them again.

      I purchased a ******* Galaxy A13 5G from TracFone and received it on June 20th. One of the main reasons that I purchased this particular phone was that in the "What's in the box?" product description, it specifically showed that it included a charger. When I received this phone, it included a USB-C charging/data cable, but no charger as indicated. I spent over an hour chatting with their customer service reps and finally got one of them to look at the actual customer web page. She admitted that she could see that a charger was included, and opened a case to get me a charger. Four days later, I called back because I had heard nothing. I was told that my case was cancelled because ******* does not include chargers. I pointed out that their site still shows that TracFone provides a charger with the phone & that they needed to send me one. I do not own a charger with a USB-C connection & explained that I should not be required to buy a 2nd device to make the device purchased operational.After my initial complaint/case, TracFone updated their webpage to show a cable rather than a charger. I have a screen capture of the original description web page that I made while talking to the first few unhelpful people. The last, rude person I spoke to, I explained that I need to send the phone back if I don't have a charger for it. She explained that I would need to pay shipping to return it, even though the error is theirs.After debating with several more people & demanding to speak with a supervisor, I was again told that I would receive a charger & a 2nd case was opened. No charger has yet been sent to me.On their review page for the phone, I posted a review regarding the phone that was shipped not matching the purchase description due to the lack of the specified charger. Their person, *****, responded that I could simply use a Lightning cable to charge the ******* phone. That is incorrect, because a Lightning cable is proprietary to Apple & will not work on this!!
