      Cancelled my 7AM flight the night prior due to snowing and freeze alerts in the area which is understandable. However, had no explanation as to why the flight to cancel. Only gave you rebooking options and refund. Rebooked for a later flight at 10PM to then notice on my way to the airport that the flight was delayed to 12AM! A 2-hr delay! I've flown with Spirit in the past and decided to give them one try. Immediately regretting it and I should've known from the signs on my departure flight. This will be the last time I book with them! I'd rather pay extra on another airline and have a smooth, non-stress flight.

      Spirit tricked us when allowing us to carry on two bags during our first flight. But on the return flight, without notice, forced us to pay $99 per person for the second (small) carry-on bag. We were at the gate about to board the plane when they told us that. With no time to make changes, we were forced to pay. My wife tried to compromise with Spirit manager, but it was said "pay or leave". Spirit Airline give us cruel and unusual treatment.

      I have received an email of cancellation on our flight to ******* with less than 9hrs of notification! Were not able to put us in a plane till 4 days later! We have booked this family vacation a month ago and now we are down $1k plus other miscellaneous fees such ************* reservation, time of work etc. Very disappointing and we are not aire when we can afford another vacation this year since we lost at least $1k on hotel reservation, an absolutely nightmare!!!

      Horrible service...all on a sudden there is no pilot and all the passengers are asked to leave the plane. Even third world countries have better airline service.

      They will likely bump you out of early bird bookings. Do not fall for the trap of believing that you get a good deal by buying your ticket early with Spirit Air. If they see an opportunity to sell your spot at a higher rate later on, that's what will happen. You just get an email with the flight cancelled notification and you are on your own from that point on. The process to get a refund is absolutely painful, even if you just want to use the money toward another flight in the same company. I used to enjoy flying with these guys but something has gone wrong in the last year. Not planning to use it or recommended to anyone. Would give them a zero star (or negative if possible) since I didn't even get to fly altogether and then I had to spend many hours to get my money back.

      We had our denver to LA flight at 1150 am I always arrive at least 3 hrs to the airport, as we pulled up we got our 1st delay notice, 20 mins later another delay. Story short we got about 4 or 5 delays.. at the end it seemed like the screen at the gate was supposed to be what we listened to according to the guy at front desk. Our last delay on our phone said 650pm screen said 316 pm .. well 3 pm rolled around .. no one told us anything we got a email that our flight had been CANCELED!!! the people at the desk were so rude and each one said a different thing we needed up canceling our whole trip and ruining my husband's 40th birthday surprise. People were so mad .. they knew the flight would end up being canceled yet they kept people there and giving us false hopes. So irritating and so upset !!! Never flying spirit again I hope they do end up getting nought out by a better line or just closing down completely if they have a well staffed company

      I flew from Charlotte to Orlando and then to Bradley airport. It was a delayed flight from Orlando to Bradley and landed at 12:30 at night. They lost my luggage. The airport baggage person at Bradley said she received an email about my luggage and it would be there the next day. I called spirit the next morning because I had not heard anything and made a claim. She said the online portal would keep me up to date. No, the portal just says the same thing every at 9:20 am. Just an automated message saying it’s lost. I have been calling everyday and been told different things everyday. It was sent to Dallas Fort Worth by accident and then told they didn’t know. Then told it was on an actual flight to Bradley with an airline number. Then wait until Bradley calls me. Then no we can’t find your bag. Then fill out a claim and a claim representative will try hard to look for your bag. I haven’t heard anything from anyone! They charged me for my bag, are doing nothing to find it or be helpful in any way! I feel like my bag was stolen! There are items I can’t replace in that bag as well as expensive items! I will never fly spirit again and I’m about to hire an attorney about this matter!
