They began the process by delivering someone elses equipment to my home which sat in my yard for weeks. This completely destroyed half of my yard. I sent in pictures of the damage and I was completely ignored. Our roof started to leak shortly after installed as well. Had to wait an entire month for them to come back out and fix the leak. they agreed to come out and fix it twice and the company no called no showed twice! The water leak Destroyed my entire kitchen. Company will not acknowledge the damage and has had a complete lack of communication nor interest the entire time. I had to come out of pocket to fix my own home. Its now been almost 8 months and my solar system is still not connected and now we have a bill from Fpl and our solar company. Sunergy installers wired my solar panels incorrectly and now my home will not pass inspection. Sunergy supervisor was disturbingly rude for no reason (recorded conversation), She denies receiving any emails from me showing pictures and proof of damage. Says she wants me to send pics in for a THIRD time now which is completely ridiculous. I asked to speak to her corporate office, her manager, and she told me she cannot give me that information and hung up on me. This type of service is unacceptable and I just want it to be known so other people dont have to endure what weve gone through. We are completely exhausted financially, and mentally from this entire ordeal. No one from Sunergy has made an effort to reach out and communicate with us at all. Now we are over $100,000+ in debt, paying for electric utilities DOUBLE the amount and still have no solar. At this point, we would just simply like to be released from our loan at Mosaic and equipment returned, I have filed a report with Mosaic as well, and we feel its only fair due to the fact that they have not fulfilled their end of the deal. Its been eight months and I still have no service but they have been paid in full. Sunergy would need to refund Mosaic in full.

I am rejecting this response because: company is still withholding reimbursements owed to me.  They are trying to close this case prematurely without paying what is due. They Reinsured me twice on recorded lines that the month of ***** would be reimbursed but now are refusing to pay and just want to close my case. I have had numerous issues with this company and all I ask is to be paid what I am owed so we all can move forward. I have two homes with solar from this company. We have had issues as such as installer falling through my ceiling, roof leaks from solar panels, wiring issues, both homes failed inspection multiple times due to lack of proper installation, equipment left on my yard for weeks and killed half of my yard (never compensated for), took an entire year for system to be operating when we were told it would be 45 days from the start date, bad customer service, lack of urgency to send reimbursements. It has caused my family financial hardships not being reimbursed in time. They are mouth couple months behind. They are trying to close this case but I still am missing the month of *****, ***** July, and August. They said they sent out checks for ***** July and August and that they were not going to pay for *****. The checks still have not arrived but they are yet trying to close this case. I am owed a total of $792 for the property **** Winnepesaukee way.

I am rejecting this response because:

Sunergy is withholding my reimbursements because they say I was slow to turn in my declaration page of my home owners insurance. ***** from Sunergy asked for this document at first but then later contacted me and said it was no longer needed. Sunergy is still penalizing me and withholding my reimbursement for a document they never needed. They also changed their reimbursement policy a year into our initial agreement. I was never notified of this change either so to be penalized for something they never made their customers aware of is misleading. All of this is absurd and I feel Sunergy is just being vindictive now because I left them a bad review.

Dear Better Business Bureau,We are writing to express our dissatisfaction with the services provided by Sunergy. We contracted with the company in June of 2022 for solar and roof replacement after conducting extensive research and meeting with multiple solar companies. Unfortunately, our experience with Sunergy has been very disappointing. We were guaranteed by the company that the roof replacement would be completed by September 2022, but as of November, we had received no updates. When we contacted Sunergy for an update, we were given the runaround, but told that the permits would soon be obtained, and work would begin. However, by December 2022, there had been no progress, and we had lost our home insurance due to the roof not being replaced on time.It wasn't until we spoke to an honest employee in December that we learned there had been internal changes in the company, and our permit application had been forgotten and never submitted. Today, on February 13th, we still do not have the necessary permits, and are insurance has dropped us for not replacing the roof, and our lending company is imposing us to pay a premium insurance of $600 a month due to Sunergy's negligence, we have to pay an additional $600 every month. This will be a significant financial burden for us, and we are deeply disappointed by the situation. We have received numerous apologies from Sunergy, but no resolution to our ongoing issues. We believe that the company's lack of follow-through and professionalism is unacceptable. We kindly request that the Better Business Bureau investigates this matter and helps us reach a satisfactory resolution. We are willing to work with Sunergy to find a mutually agreeable solution.Thank you for your attention to this matter.*********,******************************* ********

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Thank you for your attention to our complaint. We appreciate the opportunity to bring this matter to your attention and seek a resolution.
Regarding Sunergy's response, we appreciate their quick response and the gesture of sending $600. However, we regret to inform you that this amount only covers the month of March. Until we receive the necessary permit from the city and are able to reinstate the insurance on our property, we will continue to face an additional $600 premium every month. We have no other choice but to keep the lender's insurance until the roof is completed and a new four-point inspection is conducted.
We have reached out to Sunergy to inquire about an estimated time frame for the permit to be finalized and for work to commence on our property. We are still waiting for their response.
In light of the current situation, we would like to request that the complaint remains open until the issue is fully resolved. We hope to work with Sunergy to bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion and appreciate the assistance of the BBB in achieving this. Thank you for your understanding and support.

      Complaint: 19399590

I am rejecting this response because:

      Dear BBB,

I would like to provide a detailed account of the ongoing issues we have faced with the company, highlighting the significant financial and emotional burden it has placed on my family.
Firstly, I must address the statement suggesting that we agreed to lift the complaint once the job was completed. This claim is simply not true. We expressed our willingness to withdraw the complaint once the job was satisfactorily completed, but unfortunately, the situation with the company has only worsened over time. Initially, they paid the necessary funds to balance the escrow account, which allowed ** to continue making payments on our house. However, due to their prolonged delays in completing the job, the financial loan tied to the project has now expired. The company requested and was granted an extension, but even that extension has expired without any progress being made.
To our dismay, we are now facing coercive demands from the company. They are pressuring us to either return the funds they provided or pay exorbitant cancellation fees. Alternatively, they suggest that we reapply for financing at the current interest rates, resulting in significantly higher monthly payments than our original approval.

Adding insult to injury, the company even went as far as suggesting that we deceive the financing company by falsely claiming that the job has been completed, solely to ensure their own payment. This unethical behavior further confirms our belief that this company lacks integrity and engages in deceitful practices. It has become evident to us that this company is nothing but a group of unscrupulous individuals. I now question if they ever had genuine intentions of fulfilling the job. Instead, they are attempting to extort us, demanding money or fees for a project they have failed to commence, let alone complete.
Regrettably, it seems unlikely that there will be a resolution to this complaint. The impact of this ordeal on my family has been devastating, both emotionally and financially. Our well-being and livelihood are at stake due to the actions of this company. We kindly request your assistance in addressing this matter urgently. We implore you to take into consideration the gravity of the situation and the detrimental effects it has had on our household. Any intervention or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Sincerely,

Sunergy Solar has damaged my roof and now I'm facing leaking issues all over the house, which after many months, has now created mold. It's been a year since we signed the contract, and this company promised to complete the installation process in a few months. What was supposed to take one day took a week (install panels and what was supposed to take a few months has now taken a year, and I'm sure it will take two years to see the solar panel system up and running. Since the solar panel installation began, we have experienced several issues with our roof since every time it rains; we get a new leaking in a different house room. We have reported this issue every time to different employees, starting with our first contact from the Sales team, ******, then ******** (technical support), ******, ****, and the first installers, who, by the way, it took over a week to install the panel. They did it wrong, according to the 2nd team of installers going for "fixing the leak," but they didn't fix it because were are still experiencing leaking every time it rains. Every time we reported a new leaking, the installers came to repair it, but a further leaking shows up after a few days. We have all the evidence (videos, pictures, text messages, etc.) showing the leaking and the damage to the roof. The employees told me that the installers made a few mistakes, but they would fix it, which did not happen as I had to call them a few times again after they tried to fix it.As it's been almost a year since the installation started, the problem is scaling high. It rained again, and we feel the sound of the leaking on the roof, which was not visible this time as it seemed it was now leaking from the roof to inside the walls, meaning that part of the damage seemed to be hidden somehow, and it could be affecting other structures. My daughter's room smells bad to humidity. They both are getting sick more often. My daughters have 4 y/o and 7 month-old. My older daughter is coughing more than usual, and the doctor confirmed it's an allergy; we need to have her under medication to avoid this. My husband is experiencing the same every month.Today they sent another technician to "fix a leak", as this was the only problem at this time, OR as it was the first time. I don't have to deal with a different person getting into my house every 2 weeks or every month to fix a leaking, as this was a free product/ service. I don't want the support team to come again to move the panel and cover holes on the roof. Instead, I want a professional to appraise the damages and make a total roof repair or pay compensation for us to cover the cost of roof repair as the only solution to prevent us from dealing with the tragedy that the solar panels have brought to my family.PD. It's been a year since the sale agent promised me that the installation process would take a few months. So far, the only thing I've gotten from these deals are problems. We are still waiting to use the panels, so we are paying the *** account and paying for the panels, so every month, I have to take time from my day to request a refund for the loan payment. If I could return the time, I would have picked either another company or not installed panels. This company has brought just problems to my family since we decided to go with them! We are not receiving the services yet, and I'm paying the loan plus *** billing. Nothing promised has been met.

The date of the salesman's visit was 06/17/2022. He made several promises about the solar system, none of them turned out to be true. I agreed to the solar system being installed on my roof with the understanding that the cost of the system would be borne by government incentives and the cooperation of *****************. In exchange for this, my monthly electric bill would be "locked" at $140. per month ( the average of my past 24 months payments). I was handed a Ipad and asked to sign a Docusign agreement for 3 uses. 1. To obtain a credit report, 2. To obtain a survey of my property, and 3. To give my consent to apply for a building permit. They began the installation in July or August. In September I got an invoice in the mail from Mosaic Solar for the first payment on a 25 year loan. I called to tell them that there must be some mistake, but they assured me that they had a signed contract. They emialed me a copy and I realized that Sunergy Solar, without my authorization, and without me having a chance to review the sales contract and financing, fraudulently used Docusign to endorse these two contracts. Because they were executed fraudulently I do not recognize the validity of these contracts. I want their equipment off my roof and these contracts torn up. By the way, as of today 02/01/23 this Solar system is not complete and has never produced any power! FRAUD PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

I want to apologize about the experience you had during the sales process. I reviewed your account and we are hired to do the installation by the company who sold you the solar. I reached out to you via email with there information and I found that while there have been delays with getting solar installed Sunergy has sent out loan reimbursements to cover those payments(reimbursements go through an audit process and if Sunergy is found to be the reason it was delayed we cover those payments). I will continue following up on the operation side of things making sure your project is moving forward but regarding how you were sold I would recommend reaching out to the company provided in the email. If you have any further questions or concerns please reach out to **************************************** Thank you.

January 30th 2023 The following statement is an overview of the situation I had to encounter with Sunergy Solar LLC in order to have my solar panels removed so my roof could be replaced. All documentation is available.I was in the process of replacing my roof; however, as I had solar panels installed, I had to contact the solar panel company, Sunergy Solar LLC to come to my house and remove my 32 solar panels as well as one solar water heater panel. After the new roof was installed (what date? Insert that here), the agreement was that Sunergy Solar LLC would come back and re-install everything. After 3 weeks of me and my roofing company contacting Sunergy Solar LLC numerous times and leaving messages, I finally got a response from ******************* from the financial department with Sunergy Solar. ************ sent an email with the job invoice for $6,260 and I was told I needed to pay the balance in full before they would even schedule the appointment. I printed out the job invoice and wrote a personal check of which I wrote paid in full in the check remarks section. On the job invoice I wrote Thank you, *************************** at the bottom of it. Further, for my own personal documentation, I took a screenshot of the job invoice and check. I printed out a copy of the screenshot and included it in envelope along with the original job invoice and check. As I wanted proof of sending the mentioned documentation, I sent the documentation via certified mail for tracking purposes.A few days later I got a call from *** from the scheduling department to set up the removal of my panels since they received the full invoice payment. On January 16, 2023, Sunergy Solar LLC came and removed all of the panels. The next day my roof replacement started. Once Sunergy Solar LLC received the notice my roof passed the inspection, I received a text from *** stating that they would start the reinstall, BUT only if they received an additional payment of $700. I explained to *** that I had already paid $6,260, and the invoice was paid in full. I did not owe an additional $700 because the paid in full invoice included the removal of 32 panels and the solar water heater. I sent *** all the documentation of the invoice, the personal check, and the withdrawal of the check/money from my bank account as well as the receipt that the documentation was sent via certified mail. After a few days of the runaround, I got a text back from *** stating that ******************* said that I still owe $700 for the reinstall of my solar water heater panel.I never received Any invoice prior to the removal of the panels that it would cost $6,960 not $6,260. They still have not provided proof of that invoice for $6,960 and a time stamped email of when it was sent before they cashed my check. On the invoice dated 12/28/2022 that I sent on 01/05/2023 with my check that they cashed on 01/11/2023 listed the reinstall of the solar water heater panel included on the invoice which had Thank you, *************************** on it. If that invoice was incorrect it should have been acknowledged and I should have been informed before the schedule and removal of my panels. not after in a text message.Bottom line up front: Sunergy Solar LLC cashed my check of $6,260 and is refusing to complete the job. As they cannot provide the invoice of $6,960, I believe they are deliberately committing fraud and scamming me into paying an additional $700 without any proof of invoice. Prior to the start of the panels being removed, an itemized invoice outlining the statement of work should have been clearly listed. This would have clearly identified the work that was expected to be performed and would have alleviates this confusion. I believe this company acted in a manner which is unprofessional, and I believe they are taking advantage of their customers. This matter needs to be brought forth to the attention of the Better Business Bureau as other customers may have also been impacted by this negligence. Lastly, as my panels have not been reinstalled due to this debacle, my electric bill is now higher. Its not fair for the customer to have to pay for a higher electric bill due to the reinstalling company failing to do their job correctly .Thank you,*******************************

I filed a complaint on Sunergy Solar . The only response I got was they were working on resolving their fraud! Which again they took my $6260 my solar panels are still leaning up against my house since 01/16/2023, the job invoice was paid in full for removal and reinstall of 32 solar panels and one solar water heater panel. I have not been contacted and I have not been refunded. There has been no communication from Sunergy solar about an install whatsoever. They are a fraud. I want my $6,260 back because they took money that was for the job to be completed so it was paid in full and never completed! I do not want Sunergy Solar LLC to put anything on my new roof that is associated with their name/business! They are fraud and need to be investigated because they are continuously ripping customers off and stealing their money!

In March of 2022, two salespeople from Sunergy Solar came to my home and did a wonderful job explaining the advantage of solar and demonstrated how they would reduce my electric bill. They gathered 24 months of my electric bills and devised a plan to give to the engineers. Sometime in August, the panels were installed on the home. In October, I received the *** (authority to operate), activate and start using he panels. In November, December, and January, I continued to receive utility bills from the local power company for huge amounts. The power company stated Sunergy did not install enough panels to produce the correct kilowattage from the solar my home needed. At that time, I reached out to Sunergy to get assistance with my faulty solar panels for 3+ months. No one in customer service provided any concerns and always made an excuse. The salesperson (******) was unavailable as well. My electric usage for 24 months never exceeded on average $115. Nothing has changed on my end. Currently, I am paying approximately $125 for local electric company, and $105 for Enphase on the solar panels. I was told by ******* Electric, if the panels were installed to address my usage, then the banked energy would offset the usage in the night, and the utility bill would be just a maintenance fee or around $25 per month. I have been unable to reach ****** (salesperson) regarding this urgent matter, I have reported the issue each month to no avail. By December, I am feeling horrible and felt like the company was a scam and I had been duped. I am even more convinced now, since my issue has not been resolved since October. The entire process has been unfair, deceptive, and the practices are unethical as it takes advantage of the older population.

This is the second complaint file against Sunergy Solar LLC. My issue is not resolved, and today, 24 April 2023 I was told by ****** of ************* that I would have to pay for the additional panels my home require to perform correctly. I called on the 13th of April and was given the owner's name - **** and was told he would call me back. They gentleman I was originally working with Mr. ***** has left the company as he is the one all the electric bills were forwarded to, and he claimed he would analyze the power usage and correct the issue. My first complaint was filed in December of 2022, I need to reiterate that this company engages in deceptive and unfair practices whereby taking advantage of the elderly population. Without them correcting the situation, I am on the hook to continue to make payments for over thirty thousand dollars on solar panels that do not work as expected. The attached electric bills from the power company were requested by Mr. **** sent back in March 2023. When I did not hear back, I called on April 13th, and was told he no longer worked for the company. As shown in those electric bills, my power usage is company straight from the local power company. So, in essence, I am paying twice (double) for electric usage.

The ******** system has just gotten past cycling, it usually takes 3-4 months to do that unless its the middle of summer. so at this point it is not performing as it should be.
the ******** expected the system to perform at 100% right away but that's not how this works, we provided the ******** with the cycling explanation before we installed and after install, but we doubt that it was reviewed.
We have asked the ******** for a copy of there electric bills to do an audit to see whats going on, maybe if they are using more electricity, or the utility company isn't giving them accurate credit, or if the system is just cycling and working as it should.

With no agreement to work with us to help us figure out whats going on, the ******** keep just asking for us to give them free panels. now keep in mind they got exactly what they paid for.
If they wanted more panels from the beginning, they would have had to pay for them then, but since they didn't and they wanted to stick to a specific monthly payment we build the system around the exact number they gave **.
the system had been working as contracted since Aug 17, 2022

I am rejecting this response because:

This person appears to not want to take accountability for their panels.  I sent the copies of the electric bills to ***************, whom I understand is no longer at this corrupt company.  How would I have known the home did not have enough panels.  This was disclosed to me by the electric company as they could see RIGHT away the panels never produce enough energy to even gain reserves.
I was not the expert on this process, but some sales person who too was a charlatan in not estimating the correct amount of panels for a home that is only **** square feet.
Lastly, this response is coming 4+ months later after I filed the complaint with BBB. I understand, according to ****** that I requested more panels.  I did as an option to rectify my issue.  My initial option would have been to REFUND the monies I paid for the worthless panels.
I will also register my complaint further with ******* AG as well to hopefully keep other consumers from getting screwed by this corrupt solar company.

After review we have seen the contract signed states that its built off may not been 100% accurate we only have the information used by the rep.

In the contract it breaks down the amount of energy usage you average, and the amount of energy average the system will produce.

We have attached both in attachments. as well as we have attached the signed contract.

but based on the numbers your system is performing as advertised. after reviewing you electric bills you are consuming more than you are producing, this happens for multiple reason.

Example, you got a pool, new appliances, leave the lights on, someone moved in, or is working from home, or using more AC because it getting hotter. what ever the reason if you feel that you need a bigger system and you bought something small, that maybe is not going to cover your needs?

Well we can help you with that you can add to cover your needs.

       **************************************************

but based on the systems performance you are getting what you paid for, it seems like maybe you need a bigger system.

Again, as a consumer, I do not know anything about solar panels and relied on the sales person to explain everything which I understood.  I am an educated consumer with a Bachelor's Degree, so I am not a dummy.  All I know based on the *************** the 18 panels INSTALLED was not enough to produce reserves for my home.  The salesperson underestimated the number of panels, and yes I signed thinking the person knew what he was doing.  Stop with the lying and excuses, I have not moved anyone else into the home and no pool was installed.  I am a ****************************** I know how to preserve energy, with not leaving lights on and such.  I was raised and grew up being conservative that way from my parents that was born in the late 30's.

I had solar panels installed on my house. My understanding is these panels have a 20 year warranty that they will produce not less than 80% for the life of the panel. I have had the panels for just over two years and have one that is producing only 60-65%. Sunergy is company that came out on a service call and verified that the panel should be replaced and told me they would warranty the panel and get me a new one. In the past 6 plus months, I have repeatedly tried to call and check on when they would come out to replace panel but after a few call and getting "let me check on that", they have not returned my calls or been out to replace that panel. I would like to get this panels replaced. It has started costing me extra on my electric bill because I can't make up the deficit with the panel under producing.

It's been almost a week now and I have not received anything from Enphase.  Back in August 2022, when the panel was troubleshoot, it was determined that the panel did not meet the minimum output. A new panel should have been ordered then. You can look at the output from one day, one week, one month, or one year and this panel has only managed to produce 65% of the average of the panels around it that get the same amount of sunlight. The panels are guaranteed to produce no less than 80% after 20 years. All the info on the panel's production has been taken from Enphase's own web page that both of us can have access to, I don't see what the holdup has been all these months.

Date of sale Nov 2021,I was sold a Solar System an undersized solar system by goiconenergy.com and sunergy.fl.I have emails with conversations with goiconenergy.com, the sales arm for sunergyfl.com of our questioning the number of panels. We were assured that it was sized appropriately. It has been over a year since we had this system installed we are paying an average of $400.00 a month to FPL for electricity and $200.00 for our solar installation. So we now have a year of electric billing and now our total electric bill has averaged $600.00 per month. I am looking for goiconenergy.com and sunergyfl.com to complete a proper Solar installation. I have reached out to the Solar equipment company provider Enphase and had their engineers do an analysis and stated that those companies did in fact sell me an undersized system by 12 panels. I am looking for goiconenergy.com and sunergyfl.com to remediate and correct this problem by selling me the panels at cost and adding this additional cost to the existing loan to have it amortized to include the additional panels. The reason people switch to Solar is to reduce the cost of electricity. I have not had the experience that Solar is supposed to provide the consumer.
