      Massey is the worst! If you are thinking of hiring a pest control company for your home/community and for your grounds, REFRAIN FROM CHOOSING MASSEY. They have made promises they cannot keep and we used them for our community grounds and they ruined/killed our grass in various areas. The tech that would come to spray the grass and shrubs would talk on his cell phone the entire time and not pay attention to what should have been measured out and applied to the grass. The contract states that if the grass dies while we are under their contractual obligation, they will replace. We have been unsuccessful in getting them to stand by their contract. In addition, the foreman, Jeff, walked the grounds and promised us a detailed report on the issues with the grass and we are still waiting after 3 months. Additionally, we have ant mounds in areas where we specifically had asked for pest control service. Needless to say, we no longer want their services, especially for the money that they are charging us.

      We have had Massey for lawn/pest/termite control since they bought out Middleton - many, many years now. Pleased with the termite service ... we sometimes have local termites and they show up in about a week and do local spot treatments.
      Also had their irrigation service. Horrible! First, was billed for a service they did NOT perform. Took about 4 months to get this refunded - not even sure I received a refund. Next service call a supervisor came over and broke 4 sprinklers on purpose and told me about $400 to fix it :) Yes, he kicked 4 sprinklers out of the ground! Complained about it and was told Massey would give me 300 sqft of turf to make up for the damage. Haha; that was 6 months ago and still NOTHING.
      Many promises, but nothing ever happens :(

      We made deposit back in December and kept following up weekly to get an estimated schedule to replace my sod since then. However, not a single call back or email was made by Massey Services after 3 months. We finally decided to cancel the service and requested a refund. Still, no responses from Massey Services. Ironically, they were very responsive before we made our deposit.

      Our neighbor told us about Massey in December and we decided to try their service. The sales person came and said one year contract would be $684 if paid up front. He also said that we would get a $25 ****** gift card in 4 weeks. Massey came to service twice, in December and January, 5 minutes each time, first time for dollar weeds, and second time for shrub weeds. We never received gift cards, neither our neighbor who was supposed to get a $15 gift card as a referral bonus. After two rounds of chemicals, our grass was no improvements and full of weeds. In February, my husband called to complain about the service and eventually canceled the rest of the service. Someone from the corporate office called telling us that the Sales person was on sick leave and they did not know what he promised. He said that he would refund us $548. However, we received a check for $487. Apparently Massey is a company full of lies. They do not keep their promises and can not even keep out the weeds off our lawn. They really must get their act together if they want to be in any business. I wish I came to this website before I give them the money up front. Please do not trust any word they say.

      We used Massey's for one season. They did not control the bugs on our acre of property. I called many times and they sent someone out. They assured us that it would better each time. I argued with the sales manager upon termination. They want me to pay one more months payment to cancel. This is not a way to do business. Especially with a number of complaints. Don't use this service or you will live to regret it!

      Massey Services falls far short of what they say they will provide. I have called their head office several times, with little or no response from supervisors. Last week, I called to have a technician come by to adjust my sprinkler system timer. Date was set, with a three hour arrival time. Not only did they not show up, even after a call to their office to find out where the technician was and when he would arrive, but someone showed up,two days later, with no advance notice. Luckily, I was there but needed to,leave within five minutes for a prior appointment. Technician worked on the irrigation timing system in the garage for five minutes, told me I needed a new rain sensor ($224.) and left. The invoice I received via email stated that he adjusted sprinkler heads, directional sprays, etc., all of which was untrue. I called the main office, voiced a complaint and asked that their supervisor, Joey, call me. He never did. This is the final straw and I have contacted another service, which is A+ rated, to take care and manage my lawn needs. Massey has very poor Customer Service, and I have heard this repeatedly from several people who live in The Villages.

      Massey Services is a bad company to hire for your lawn fertilization service if you live in the Villages Florida area. After a couple visits I saw no results so I called and told them I wanted to cancel their service for pest and fertilizing of the grass and shrubs. The manager then came out and asked for another opportunity so I told them I would give them one more chance. After several months I saw no improvement. After the final visit when I complained I asked for the report and it stated that they applied (3) pounds of fertilizer, my lot is just under 11,000 square feet so (3) pounds seems very light to me. The tech was there and gone before I ever new he was there and I was home the whole time. I took advantage of a discount by paying for a full year of service in advance, what a mistake! I e-mailed the company on 11/20/22 and cancelled the service and requested a credit for the remaining balance on my account. I am still waiting for a refund of nearly $500.00. I have called at least (4) times inquiring the credit and keep getting told that it needs multiple signatures and approvals before the credit process is completed. I have been told that the credit process takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks. I stated to them several times that when I signed up for the service they billed our credit card almost immediately however when a customer cancels the service because of there bad service it takes this long to get a credit? It has been over (9) weeks and still no credit. poor performance in the field and even worse customer support! I have hired another service and my grass is finally starting to green up.

      Hi I just wanted to people about Massey service lawn services. Horrible service they said that they do the service but they just put the flag on you yard but they don’t do anything. Well the general manager name is Gabriel. ****** left a not on my door. Saying that. If I do pay $60 dollars balance he would put a lien on my house. Just for the $60. Balance. I found that unprofessional. By Massey is not a good way to represent a company. Going against your clients.
      I would not recommend anyone. And of course never do business with Massey again. Thanks to Gabriel ******. Supposed to a general manager.

      On October 17, 2022 at 2:52 PM I sent an email to Massey Services explaining I as unhappy with the non-grass growth in my yard (this was the second time I complained about the same condition). I asked for someone to contact me as I do not want to continue the current application. I did receive a call from a man who made an appointment to come see me the following Monday. That person never showed nor contacted me. I then called Orlando office and spoke with Office Manager explaining the situation and again stated I wanted to cancel my service. She said she would talk with her manager and get back to me. She never called back. On November 22,2022 I just happened to be in the front yard when a Massey truck arrived. I explained to the technician that I had cancelled the service. He noted on his paperwork that I refused the yard treatment. On December 22, 2022 I sent me a dunning letter. I immediately called the Office Manager who informed me that Massey requires a 30 day cancelation notice and that I had to pay the $80 invoice or she was prepared to start collection procedures. She did acknowledge my correspondence of October 17, 2022 but that didn't matter to her. I asked to speak with the manager, but he was unable at the time, but would call me around 9:00 AM the following day. I never received the call as promised. Yesterday, I paid the $80 to avoid the possibility some office dimwit or a person who's authority has gone to their head. Why did I pay $80 that I didn't owe? I have a perfect credit rating and didn't want the hassle of proving to a collection agency that I wasn't delinquent in paying a lousy $80 bill.
