Bought brand new camper in July 2022. Camper was damaged when it arrived at our house, returned to location, 2 weeks later Shower leaked into cargo area, Thermostat went to Celsius, CO2 sensory bad. Taken back again. Repaired all but sensory. In May 2023 scheduled appointment to have Kitchen ceiling light, bowed paneling in bedroom, entry door, steps, item coming up thru the floor, cargo door and vinyl covering to awning repair. Called 7 days later and was told all but light, steps and entry door were repaired. Arrived to pick it up, asked to inspect it before we left. Once they took us to the camper and the opened to door, I inspected the interior and exterior and NOTHING was done!!! I was lied to!!!!! Asked to talk to the Service Manager who we have had many encounters with previous issues. After twenty minutes we agreed to have them fix what they could while we waited. Inspected it again and the paneling and vinyl piece were repaired. It was towed home only to find out that now NONE of the Kitchen ceiling lights work and the deadbolt lock does not lock or unlock with a key! The lock worked when it was dropped off, We are keeping the camper at our house until they get the clearance from the warranty company, There is much more to our issues with them,Optimum RV

RV was supposed to be ready to go but was broken down. I set up the pick up day so that we would spend a minimum time in Florida. I made it clear that I had to get back home quickly (I care for my 97 year old mother at home & was paying a patient sitter.) We spent 2 weeks (staying in hotels) still no word. I canceled my purchase because I had to get back home. I spoke with the manager who said he would call me back but he didn’t. I have left messages but he won’t call me back. I just want my money back. I have called my credit card company about it but am still awaiting their investigation.Optimum RV

Spartanburg SC service group is unorganized, unresponsive, & techs didn't complete the simple job of hooking up two furnace vent hoses. One hose hooked up but I guess they didn't think I would check behind the furnace.
Called twice for information before making the appointment, I arrived and had no appointment. Service Manager EJ said they would take care of it and took unit back. Tried to charge me for 2hrs when they had it 45min. I had red mud in my unit and on cushions.
I called left messages two mornings in a row, had an online chat, sent an email to customer service. A different location called me back and assured me that someone would reach out. As of this review no one has reached out. I have called the credit card company to pull the money back. Have already lost a weekend of camping and need the unit again this weekend but can't go with no heat. I wouldn't trust them to do any more work. To bad because they are close and I would love to build a relationship.Optimum RV

Their finance workers are not to be trusted. They will try to overcharge you and add unnecessary fees at every turn. Their service department does not do the work they say they will do. And if you have issues they barely answer they’re phones or call you back.Optimum RV
Date: 03/30/2023
Ms. ********,
Your feedback is important to us. You were not overcharged, and you did not pay any additional fees. The only amount added to your loan was approved by you and that was for an extended warranty that you purchased. According to what you told our management team, you wanted the warranty but did not understand that you were financing it into the loan, even though you did not pay for it upfront at the time of closing. We provided you with all of the information necessary to cancel the warranty. Once you found out that the refund of the warranty had to go back to the loan, you told us that you would cancel the warranty at a later date and would work directly with the warranty company. Our management team has spoken with you a number of times over the past few months, and you have not mentioned any issues with your unit. Each conversation that you have held with any member of our staff has been in reference to the down payment and the warranty cancellation. We are always available to assist our customers. In addition to our office number, you also have personal contact information for our customer service manager, who has not received a call from you since February 2023 and that call was about the warranty. We are more than happy to assist you with any concerns that you may have.
Sincerely,
Optimum RV Management

If I could give this dealership in Ocala a 0 I would. Once they get your business it will be crickets. Very difficult to get through to speak to anyone. The girl at the front desk (being nice) is less then helpful. She doesn't know how to answer the pnone or talk to anyone. She will either hang up on you, put you on hold waiting for you to hang up or transfer you to a totally different location. The one good thing I can say is that the gal in fiance/warranty (Kim) was wonderful. She tried to help in areas that weren't even her areas. I can tell she truly felt empathy. I wish I would have read the reviews before we purchased like I usually do but for some reason I didn't. I would have ran. They will charge you a $1000 for prep. Joke. This is something they should be doing for their customers anyway. Why should the customer pay for them to clean the rv and fix the obvious problems. Never heard such a thing. We gave them 3 extra weeks to make sure eveything was done and on the day we went to pick it up we ended up being there all day while they fixed things. The put a notice in the rv saying it was certified clean and sanitized. It most certainly was not. I have pictures. They sold me warranties which they said the RV is covered bumper to bumper. Well It was not as we tried to make a claim. That was 10K. Cancelled. They also sold me Eckbond for which I am sure it was not done. I can not get a hold of anyone to discuss. I can not believe I fell for the warranties and the sale of this RV. Generally, I am a very cautious buyer. Please, please please run away from here. I hope I help someone.Optimum RV

Unfortunately there are no negative stars to give! We sold Optimum our 2022 travel trailer on 3/4/2023, had both a written and verbal contract for the sale of the camper. 5 days later they called and wanted to change the price that we had agreed on, and stated that they will no longer live up to the agreement that we had. This is a breach of contract, companies that use these tactics should not be able to receive any type of business licenses!Optimum RV

Mr. ********,
Thank you for speaking with our management team. We do apologize for the misunderstanding. All of our purchases have to be approved by corporate before any of our locations can finalize a deal. We cannot honor just the value of the unit as a tool to estimate what we can pay for a particular unit; this is why we have a corporate buyer evaluate all of our potential deals before they are finalized. Our dealerships managers are usually spot on when quoting prices to prevent situations like this. However, in your case the value and market value are very different. We offered to consign the unit for you and would have been able to get you closer to the original price that we quoted you for your unit. We understand that is not something that you were interested in. Again, we do apologize for this misunderstanding and are happy to answer any additional questions or concerns that you may have.
Thank you,

BUYER BEWARE!!! Bait & Switch!
DO NOT purchase from these people!!! ???? They are AWFUL and DISHONEST, especially if you want to use your own financing company. We were bullied into using their finance company after driving over 4 hours to pick up our Dutchman Voltage, which was supposed to be cleaned and ready to go!! We spent ALLLLL DAY at the dealership; couldn’t get anyone to give us an idea on when we could do our walkthrough. We were eventually rushed through to a “finance manager” who wouldn’t let us take the fifth wheel, because they had not received the check from our lender. Long story short, we wound up being forced to use their finance dept. under the premise that “they can get us a better rate, lower payment, and have to pay zero down)….the only reason we went forward with their finance department was so we wouldn’t have to drive back the next day to pick up our Voltage…our $59,000 purchase wound up being financed at over $72,000 - out the door!! ?? They charged fees that are bogus and not needed- pretty certain their “fees” go against any best business practice!! We were rushed through the walkthrough after dark, after close of business hours and rushed out the door after 8:00 pm that day!!!
Fast forward to now, we just had our first rain in the camper and we have water leaks! Also, the following list of issues that NOBODY will talk to us about:
??AC does not work
??Fridge has a defect and won't stay cold
??Seal missing in garage window causing water leak
?? water leak coming from corner of garage (source cannot be found)
?? fan in kitchen is busted and does not work
??ceiling on living room slide out is falling -reason unknown, other than the seam tape is coming apart
?? previous water damage to the front frame of living room slide out
?? there is a stench of cigarette smell ( which I can’t smell due to Covid 2 years ago) ??
......the list
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DISHONEST COMPANY!Optimum RV

Like others, if there were negative stars I would do the same. Ocala, FL is where our story takes place. Saw a motorhome online that was just what we were looking for. Met with Gloria, the wonderful salesperson. Saw a few but decided on the one we saw online. Went through the sales process, negotiated a price and signed a contract. The pressure to finance was so intense, but we were paying cash! five minutes after we signed the contract, Will, the sales manager came back and said "There's another family who wants to buy the same unit and finance, so unless you finance it, we're going to sell it to them." I said "no, you're not, we have a signed contract." he said it's not a contract, it's a sales order... I said "I write contracts every day, this meets all the criteria for a legally binding contract." I told him, this is a bait and switch, and you're making us feel uncomfortable with our decision.... But we met with the finance folks to finalize paperwork.. They added $500 to the sales price, we assume, because we were paying cash.. I told him to remove it. He went to get new paperwork, and it was still on there, but in a different place AND the dealer doc fees increased... Again, I told him to go change it. We paid our $5,000 deposit on our American Express (for protection). Supposed to pick up the unit the following Monday. On Sunday night, a sales manager called my husband and told us they couldn't sell us the unit because it didn't pass inspection. We said like what didn't pass? It's a 2020 with 17000 miles... he said "oh I don't know, but we can't sell it to you, we'll find you something else." Being stunned, and so disappointed, my husband hung up with him... We immediately went online where the unit was STILL listed for sale, and 14 days later, it still is. We called on Monday and told them to refund our $5,000 deposit.... they said they'd do it right away... five days later it appeared on our account. STAY AWAY!! BAIT AND SWITCH!! SHAMEFUL PRACTICES!!Optimum RV
