      I stayed at westgate lakes resort in Orlando. It was brutally hot outside I was stuck on an elevator for 20 mins and suffered heat exhaustion. They have No AC or dans or a way to get out! . I was throwing up after and had migrains and weak. Nobody on the staff contacted me or assisted in getting help. I left early from being sick! They dont care if you live or die

      My aunt purchased a timeshare in 2008. She has been unable to use the timeshare for 15 years and always paid her maintenance fees on time. She is 68 years old, disabled, and lives in assisted living facility. She no longer has funds to pay for maintenance. She is willing to give the timeshare back to Westgate and they want a $3000 transfer fee. She is not able to pay these fees. This company does not care about anybodys situation and very unhelpful. My Aunts only recourse is to file bankruptcy or not pay it. Like I said she has paid on this and not used it in 15 years. She sent them over $40k in fees and not used the property. She is unable to sell it or give it away. Nobody wants it! Why does the attorney general of Florida let them continue to do business. This is bad for the consumer and can be considered elder abuse!

      This company promises discount attraction tickets with tour- them find a reason to not allow you to receive them. Ruining your plans for the day and disappointing children that think they are going to get to go to an attraction that day. There were many people in line to c/o about what they didnt get that was promised. They blame the workers that work at the local businesses ( that are out there recruiting people to do the tours) these people asked the same questions that the resorts ask so if you dont allow certain income groups, rules etc they SHOULD know when they ask you the questions and sign you up. ( which I think they do) so you dont waste your time with this sorry company. Imagine how many people they lie to daily. VERY MISLEADING AND DOWNRIGHT HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!

      Good morning I was told that I could cancel my reservation 24 hours prior to the date of reservation now I cancel 11 days prior to the date, and they want to charge me one day that I won't even use. I should not be charged for something I'm not going to use my partner was in the hospitallers and we can't make it, will not return hotel stay for $ *****

      Fraudulent and very suspicious activity. When you book for the timeshare vacation, Westgate sales representatives sign you up for a time share. You will not have a contract, just hundreds of sales reps contacting you to sell your illegal, non existent time share. They will even go as far to say you have the right to sign your rights away, when you do not own a time share. Harrassment!

      As for your claim that you were signing your rights away, please understand that if a consumer, such as yourself, chooses not to move forward with the purchase of the Price-Locked inventory, Westgate may ask them to sign a form releasing their hold on the price-locked inventory, as well as any funds that would have been credited from the *** purchase toward the purchase of a timeshare interest. As a courtesy, we are sending a copy of the document to the e-mail address on file for your review.

      Company help a promotion for a 4 day 3night trip plus an additional trip after that. After calling trying to schedule both the company denied knowing a second trip and refused to refund.

On the contrary, our records indicate that you only purchased the 4-day, 3-night stay, and no other gifting was provided on the day of purchase.

      Additionally,with respect to your claim that our team refused to provide a refund, our records indicate that you were advised that a refund could not be issued as it had already been thirty (30) days since the purchase date.

      Our experience with Westgate in ********* was beyond disappointing. Initially lured in by promises of freebies, we were coerced into a timeshare presentation that turned into hours of relentless sales pressure. Despite our objections, we were bombarded with false claims about the timeshare's benefits, including promises of rental income and future profits. In reality, we discovered that our children would be saddled with maintenance fees, mortgage payments, and attempts to book vacations yielded no availability.If you are at one of their presentations, DO NOT let them fool you into thinking you can rent the timeshare which will cover the annual costs. Also, their resorts ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE to their owners.It was a ****** in deceit and manipulation, and we regret ever engaging with Westgate's deceptive tactics. Beware of their slick sales pitches they're nothing but smoke and mirrors.

      My family and I were on vacation in Orlando in 2009, and happened to run into a person giving away two free tickets to a theme park if we were to attend a presentation at this resort. We took the bait; these people are literally taking advantage of vulnerable people in that moment. We would have NEVER (in our right mind) brought an "area" to visit every other year for 7 days only, for over $15,000. This does not include HOH fees, every other year, which has gone up and are now paying $1,450. I have tried to get out of the contract without success. I feel like we were pressured into getting this timeshare and that we were not informed on all the important and necessary information needed moving forward after the purchase of the timeshare. I think these timeshares are overpriced and not worth the money. Furthermore, once we paid off the "unit" we did not get any kind of positive review on our credit report. But now that we haven't paid our yearly HOH, we are getting letters saying if we don't pay, they can report it to the credit agencies.

Westgate owes its success to respected and valued owners like you, who have embraced our philosophy that regular vacations can, and do, lead to improvements in health,personal well-being, and family connections. Although we appreciate your feedback regarding the presentation, please understand that the purchase was over 10 years ago, making any successful claim for relief at this point,improbable. Nonetheless, we deeply value your relationship with Westgate Resorts and are committed to providing you with the highest level of service,so we will proceed with addressing the concerns you have presented. Since there may have been offers presented on a first-come, first-served basis,depending on the available inventory, the representative may have expressed some urgency regarding the offer. However, you were never obligated to remain past the agreed-upon time to receive your incentive or to purchase a timeshare.Ultimately, you have the right to inform the sales staff or closing officer of any discomfort to ensure proper action is taken, or refrain from purchasing if your concerns are not addressed to your satisfaction.

      While we certainly appreciate your concerns regarding the maintenance dues and taxes (M&T), it is important to understand that the maintenance dues represent the only source of revenue available to pay the cost of maintaining your resort. The ****************** is responsible for calculating the resorts annual budget and dividing it equitably among all the owners so that each one pays a fair share of the costs needed to preserve the integrity of the resorts services while keeping the costs as low as possible. If the cost of goods and services to maintain your resort increases, this increase to the Budget is divided amongst all the Resort Owners so that each pays his fair share of the increase. It is also important to know that all of the maintenance dues paid go directly to the ****************** and that the Developer pays his share of the M&T on all unsold timeshare Weeks at your resort, so he has a vested interest in keeping costs as low as possible.

      Our research has concluded that you were given full and fair disclosure of the purchase terms and conditions. Although there is no legal requirement for full disclosure to be done verbally, please know that you were provided with written, full, and fair disclosure of the purchase terms. As the consumer, it was your responsibility to review the terms of the purchase to ensure they fit within your financial and travel needs on the day of sale. This is evidenced by your execution and our delivery of the contract documents. Absent any supporting documentation of wrongdoing, it is Westgates position is that your contract is valid and legally enforceable.

      Hemos escrito una carta a Westgate y estamos esperando su respuesta. Desde que compramos un tiempo compartido con ellos, solo lo hemos utilizado una vez. Tener este tiempo compartido ha sido nada ** que un espectculo de circo. Reservar es casi imposible, y despus de 4 aos de notificarles que me retiraba de su plan, mgicamente tuvieron una semana disponible en ***********************. Estas personas me presionaron para hacer mejorar nuestro estilo de vida y manera de viajar y me calificaron para una tarjeta de crdito que utilizaron para poder comenzar una compra con ellos. Nunca me dijeron que tendra que pagar el doble de las tarifas de mantenimiento. Westgate supo cmo manipularme y mentirme, y ahora estoy atrapado en este contrato intil. Intent explicarles a estas personas que ahora mi doctor me haba diagnosticado con cncer y estaba enfrentando dificultades financieras y no les import. Mi experiencia con ellos ha sido horrible y no les importan sus clientes, solo quieren ganar dinero con cualquiera a quien puedan engaar para que firmen un contrato monstruoso con ellos. No dejes que te presionen para comprar un tiempo compartido con ellos. Dirn cualquier cosa solo para que lo firmes. ***** a estos ladrones y no te involucres con un contrato que hacen difcil de cancelar.

      I requested a cancellation within few minutes after booking, but they werent helpful at all. They were charging me for the first night plus taxes. Again, this request was literraly minutes after the booking. Not anyone, including manager, would want to waive it. I guess they needed the money more than I do.
