In July of 2023 I was prescribed a cpap machine to treat sleep apnea. My doctor used RoTech Healthcare to provide that machine.I received the machine in October. I began trying to use it. I had a very tough time using the app that goes along with the machine. I was extremely unsuccessful getting ahold of anyone at Rotech. I am actually currently on hold trying to get them to come pick this cpap machine up. They are picking it up because I can no longer go back and forth with them to try to get these issues resolved. I have ***eatedly asked them to send me information regarding my account such as usage records and insurance requirements. Everytime I do, the person at this company tells me they cannot email me anything and that they will mail those records to me. As of yet I have not received anything that we talked about from them. I have however received a threatening letter from their corporate counsel regarding a 1300 dollar bill and my "refusing entry" to people trying to pick the machine up.All the while I have, in good faith, tried to jump through all the hoops that they have set forth with no good faith effort on their part. As of **** 2024, the plan was for me to have my doctor send over notes to their office so we could try to get on the right track for my cpap. My doctor did that in early **** (confirmed by their ***** I called today when I received the threat letter from their counsel. I learned that they DID in fact receive the notes from my doctor... but they were the "wrong" notes and they need different notes. The *** said I was called on July 1st (not true) and that my phone did not have voicemail (not true) and that me not responding to that call is the reason for the threatening letter.Rotech should not be allowed to provide healthcare services if they are going to do business this way. Probably goes without saying, but the insurance oligarchy healthcare system in this country is an abomination and is not doubt at the bottom of these issues.

On July 9, 2024, I saw my primary care physician and he told me that I no longer need oxygen therapy since my oxygen was ***** percent without oxygen. I made a call to summit respiratory and told them that I no longer need oxygen therapy. I also called my doctor at UCHealth On July 10, and they confirmed I no longer need oxygen therapy.I also saw a Doctor yesterday at ********************** in ************** and saw ******************. and my oxygen was 97 percent without oxygen therapy. ****************** sent a note yesterday to Summit Respiratory making the recommendation that I do not need the oxygen therapy anymore. I even tried to call again today on 7/12/24 and I got disconnected from the phone call. I would like to have your team schedule the pickup up my oxygen equipment asap as I no longer need it and have not used it since July 9, 2024. You can no longer bill my insurance for this equipment and that would be fraud to do so at this point. Thank you for your help to get my equipment scheduled for pickup asap. Thank you.

I have made several payments to Rotech. However, when I review statements or even log into my account on line; none of the payments are reflected. I have requested an itemized statement to reflect all charges and have not received it. It is not clear how much money I have sent them when I do not see this in an historical statement.

Original Date: 8/03/22 I ordered supplies for my CPAP using my new insurance Aetna Better Health of ********. (I had used this company for several years through my previous insurance, and I communicated with them via email before ordering the supplies concerning the new insurance and was assured that took my new insurance.) My understanding was this was pre-approved with the insurance company by Rotech. I started receiving bills for $50 in fall of 22. I communicated by phone with Rotech each time I received a bill -- letting them know that it had not been filed with my insurance company. I told them I could not pay until they FIRST filed the claim with my insurance company. They kept reassuring me that it would. I eventually communicated back and forth with a Rotech Representative several times via email (I still have the communication, if that would be helpful) in early 2023. They indicated at that time that they would get back with me but never did. Today, July 5, 2024 I received a letter from a collection agency trying to collect on the $50. I am very frustrated with this company as they NEVER as far as I know filed a claim with my insurance. I made many attempts to resolve the issue, but no one at Rotech seemed to know anything and had no explanation as to why it was not filed with my insurance.

I did speak with Rotech by phone.  They assured me that they have removed me from collections as well as cancelling the $50 debt.  As long as they follow through with this, I am happy.

I am filing a complaint on behalf of my mother, *********************. She has been receiving oxygen from Rotech for 3-4 years. She tried to order oxygen today and she said Rotech told her that, she cannot receive a delivery till August. At no point has Rotech ever had a delivery like this while with their service. They said they can deliver 15 tanks to her home every 90 days. I said to Rotech what happens on day 89 if she needs oxygen, "Well you are more than welcome to come and pick up whatever she needs". Rotech is a delivery service for oxygen, if I am not around how does a poor 80 year old woman get oxygen? I do not work for Rotech, I myself have a full-time job. Never mind the frustration that it is causing this woman. I would like to speak to someone it is very hard to put all of this nonsense into an email.

I am rejecting this response because: the company finally did contact me and they had a temporary solution for the matter at hand. I told them that I do not accept their solution of this issue. Rotech wanted me to accept the *** and then revisit in January 2025 after which they know that it would be rejected by insurance. My mother nor I, did not pick this company to deal with, she was discharged from the hospital not knowing if she was going to live or die in January of 2022. Thank God she is still with us 2 1/2 years later. Rotech never informed us of the process in which needs to be gone through in order to receive services and have them covered by insurances. They are out to make money. The Branch Manager said she would cap out in January of 2025. So I stated that is what you are worried about, it doesn't matter that my mother doesn't have the quality of life that she deserves in her late years to go outside of her home comfortably and visit her family and grandchildren and great grandchildren! the manager stated well it wouldn't benefit Rotech!!! I am done with Rotech and have worked very hard to find a suitable replacement!, I will never do business with this company ever again!

So thank you will all my heart BBB for all your help in this matter and it is really sad that business' are allowed to carry on and stay in business for the customers that they serve.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

I received High frequency chest wall oscillation system (Chest Vest) on 05/12/2023. Chest vest was delivered personally by Blue Dot representative and I confirmed I would make 10 payments after which the vest would be mine.Rotech/Blue Dot submitted claim for *** and June 2023 with my insurance carrier that was Aetna for US$ ******* respectively.I got ******** from July-2023 and I update my insurance detail with Rotech/ Blue Dot. But from July-2023 to till now Rotech/ Blue Dot did not submitted any claim for Chest Vest.Without submitting any claims with my insurance company, how can I received the monthly statement form Rotech/ Blue Dot from July-2023 to November-2023. As attached are the bills I received from Rotech and I have proof of payment for all bills. Fast forward Rotech has been trying to take the vest back even though I have paid all their bills in full and I have documentation of my doctor sending the necessary paperwork to Rotech so they can bill the vest under my insurance. I am constantly getting harassed via phone calls and house visits at my front door by their employees looking to pick up the equipment however every time I call them and speak with *********, she tells me they will get it resolved with the billing department and we should not have this issue. Along with that she told us we would receive a new statement updated to current and moving forward no one will come pick up the vest. However, after that call on June 18th another representative was at my front door to pick up the vest. How can they collect 7 months of rent then start pulling this unlawful business practice to a man whose life/well being depends on the use of the vest. It is illegal for them to collect 7 months of rent and then pull these unlawful business tactics just so they can collect the vest back into their position knowing I only have 3 months left to pay before I can be the sole owner of the Chest Vest which I need/use 3 times a day by direction of my doctor.
