  WOW!!!! Wouldnt send me paperwork to review before providing cc info. Started yelling at me when I asked simply to read the documentation/contract. ***************** is a manger and the one that yelled at me and hung up on me. They were the ones that reached out to me even!!!! Horrible service and a total rip off!!!!

  My first experience with TBO, was great. I had a great gentleman ************** Who helped me obtain a timeshare rental for our vacation next year and explained everything I needed to know, how it works and what to expect. Very patient and answered all my questions. This 5 star review goes out to ***** because of his great customer service to me. Hoping we will have a great vacation at this "new resort" to us..

  Timeshare by Owners had a great experience with the associate that worked with me. The process is easy and fast. Had a confirmation within two days. Have not been at the resort yet, but will leave the review after its all done. Definitely will work with this company again.

  I worked with **** in renting my 2 bdrm unit out for vacation at Myrtle ********************** this summer. The process was very smooth and well conducted. Ive been very pleased with the service I have received; its one of the few times Ive felt like I received a service rather than being taken advantage of with my timeshare. Very appreciative!!!

  I have been a client of TBO since April of 22, when I signed a contract for $1,499 with Mr. **for marketing services to sell or rent my timeshare. In March of 23, I paid TBO $1,849 more for my property to be enrolled in the Elite Plus Program via Mr. **** After signing this contract, my numerous calls and emails to Mr. *** have not been returned.On 08/22/23, I signed a 3rd contract, initiated by Ms. ** to be enrolled in the Summer ******** Program. They asked for $ ***** more, but I only agreed to $500, bringing the total I paid to $3,848. Assurances from Ms. *** you are going to be so happy because this would put me in a good position to sell my property. Received another call in November 23 asking for more money. When I questioned what would be done that hasnt; been done before they were evasive and responded. You just need to have some trustAlmost 2 years later I have not received 1 offer to sell my timeshare, even after lowering the price 3 times. The results have been nothing short of pathetic, even though recently I was told in a voice mail from Ms. ***** that everything is going great. I have seen absolutely no evidence of that. Finally, I received a call from TBO on 12/27/23 indicating that they had potential buyer but needed to confirm with me the price I was asking. After confirming, they proceeded to ask me for more money to enter a new marketing program. for more money.I then sent them 4 certified letters, with specific questions regarding what additional steps that they would take to promote my property if I paid them more money. They received the letter on 12/26/23 and have never responded.There is absolutely no evidence did anything to promote my property other than stick my listing on their website. Timeshares By Owner is not a reputable company. They take your money, do very little with it, and do not respond to customer questions or complaints. They promise the world and do not deliver.

  To Whom It May ********** response to ************************************* complaint filed through the Better Business Bureau of ***************, I understand his sentiment regarding the multiple purchases of his marketing, yet not receiving a successful rental or sale offer. With the different programs that were purchased; i.e., website/walk-in office advertising, the Timeshare Trader, the Elite Plus, and the ******************* it would be nice if there had been an actual successful rental or sale offer through those programs. While many of our clients do receive successful offers through our different programs and we receive favorable commentary regarding those offers, we cannot ever guarantee that it will happen, what the timeframe might be or what price might be offered. Our only guarantee is to advertise and that is exactly what has been happening. The advertising is through our award-winning website, internet advertising, our podcast, tradeshows, and the like. The programs, such as website/walk-in office advertising remain active through simple communication, be it phone calls, email, letters, or texts. The magazines are digital and are monthly editions of the Trader or Elite, the Showcase is a three-month program for each of the seasons and includes email blasts going out to those that have expressed interest in a client's timeshare or something like it. As for an offer from us regarding a potential offer, that will come from a representative in our ******************** and there is no cost associated with that. If there's an offer, that will be presented and once the seller comes to terms with the buyer through the ********************, we will set up the closing services through a closing company. Most often we work with ******************* located in *******, **. Now we may say that purchasing another program may take you closer to a buyer, it does not mean that there is a buyer; it only means that it is another marketing program that couid generate a buyer that another program did not. Our records do show that there have been at least 16 offers for ******************** through our services. Such offers have taken place from Apr 18, 2022 through Jun 25, 2024.To resolve matters for ********************, what I am doing is placing him on the "do not solicit" list, so that he is not contacted again to purchase more marketing. What I will do is provide him with additional marketing at no cost that includes all of programs beyond website advertising. There will be another edition of the Showcase, along with email blasts, and new editions of the Timeshare Trader and *************** The only contact from now on will be for actual offers-- and once ******************** comes to terms with a buyer, we will set up the closing services through a closing company.   In 2 words. RIP OFF. My wife and paid ****** the first round telling us they were going to put it on the market. 2 years later they approached us again with another offer. ******* but only pay 1/2 and pay the other half at end of sale. Today, Feb. 12, ****, we were approached again with a new idea to sell, but requiring an addition ******* to put my timeshare on "the fast track". Don't fall for their bull crap!!

  To Whom It May ********** reference to the complaint filed by ***** and ***************************, I'm sorry that they feel the way that they do, and I guess that if I purchased multiple times without success, I might feel the same way as well. It does appear that three marketing programs were purchased that included separate fees of $455, $1799, and $1395 respectfully, which adds up to $3649 altogether. While those fees have not generated a successful offer yet, it does not mean that they will not. With marketing that includes website/walk-in office advertising, the Elite Plus program with both the Timeshare Trader and Elite digital marketing magazines, along with the three month showcase and email blasts, offers should be generated. What I will do as a result, is work with the ******************** to see if we cannot find a successful offer. I will also go ahead and provide additional marketing henceforth at no cost that provides all of our special marketing programs. The client is also placed on the "do not solicit" list, so that there will never be a charge for any more marketing programs. Ther client should stay in touch with our ************************** from now on at toll-free ************** or ************** for any assistance or special programs to help you move their timeshare, as our success stories are many.   I have been with them for over 10 years and it's been an amazing experience. *********************** was my first agent and did a great job. I recently sold my condo and contacted the company to tell them. ********, the **************** Rep, took care of it immediately and I'm no longer getting 99 emails a month. He is a keeper because I've been trying to get this done for quite awhile.

  Just had a high pressure sales pitch from an individual claiming his name was ***********************. ** wanted me to give credit card info over the phone for supposedly ******* for marketing. Then reduced to **** and then 798. I told them I'm not giving over phone until I see documents for review and call my timeshare company. He responded that I should stop being a tough guy, I'm not going to call them and I probably don't have the money anyhow. This place feels like a scam looking for money upfront and then leave customer hanging out to dry. He also claimed they don't have a BBB rating because they won't pay for the service. That *** be, but the crappy customer treatment and the 3.9 rating by ****** and **** here doesn't instill a sense of trust in this company.

  My initial contact with Timeshares By Owner sounded promising. They said they could advertise my timeshare and have a large market to advertise in. They sent me to a page that said they were BBB endorsed with a great rating. I can no longer find that page. I paid an initial fee that was a couple of thousand dollars. They continued to contact me periodically saying things were looking good for the sale of my property. I had gone into detail with them about the time share and they were quoting a sale figure much, much larger than we paid. They eventually called saying they needed a few more thousand dollars to advertise effectively. I balked but after extensive back-and-forth, I caved and gave them the $$. More calls saying things were going great and would I accept a payment stated that was much greater than what we originally paid. Well, I got another call that they wanted a few more thousand dollars and I stuck to my guns this time and would not pay. The salesperson said we needed to pay to advertise effectively. This is a scam. I am so sorry I ever got involved with this company. I would like my $$ back but doubt if I'll ever see anything positive happening with this company.
