This review is based off our frustration with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV). We were initially contacted by phone offering us a discounted package to *********, in exchange for attending a short presentation. On February 12, 2023, we attended a presentation in *********. ***********************, the designated employee, spoke with us and attempted to persuade us by sharing his own positive experiences working for Hilton. He promised to help us achieve our desired vacation. We were shown beautiful destinations and were convinced that signing with Hilton Grand Vacations would provide us with incredible travel opportunities. **** asked us about our dream travel destination, we mentioned the *******, he assured us that we would be able to go there every year. Initially, we had decided not to purchase anything, but **** convinced us by emphasizing the potential for rental income and the ability to offer discounted travel packages to friends and family. **** continued to pressure us, claiming this was a one-time chance. We eventually gave in to the pressure. The term "timeshare" was never mentioned during the presentation, and we were led to believe we were purchasing a Hilton Grand Vacation package. We were unable to book any vacations through our timeshare, despite finding availability for Hilton Grand Vacations at cheaper prices on various travel websites. We discovered numerous negative reviews online, exposing similar experiences of being scammed by Hilton Grand Vacations. We were never informed about maintenance fees until we started receiving calls from Debt Collection Companies. Hilton never notified us of the bills that were due, resulting in late fees. We were told that our children would inherit the timeshare without mentioning the perpetual payments they would incur. The contract revealed that we had been misled about the value of our investment and the ability to resell the timeshare. Dont fall for their trap, dont attend a presentation!

This is super unhelpful. We had a trip to ******* last summer (2023) and at the end of that trip I got a survey call from Hilton grand vacations. The marketing lady almost convinced me to get a $224 package to be planned in next 11 months. And that particularly works best outside the typical vacation months. They provide a very little choices of destinations (2 or 3 places in the **). When this I tried to plan our trip to ** (as my family liked) and they said there's nothing available for the summer of 2024. So, it's a total net loss of $224 for me, as the package is non-refundable and expiring this summer. So, please consider carefully before you get such stupid offers from them.

I felt compelled to write a review about my experience with *******. I initially purchased a timeshare because I was told that I needed to attend a presentation and it was mandatory. I was upset because I already planned each day to go places and do activities with my children. In the presentation I was enticed with the promises made with retirement aligning perfectly with the timeshare. I paid in full for the timeshare. My experience on trips after that was more high-pressure presentations disguised as owner updates where I was pressured aggressively to continue to buy points and upgrade my timeshare. Throughout the process I was rushed to electronically sign the contracts without even disclosing important information. I remember at one point I was even asked to put more down on paper than what I originally made. I didnt think anything of it, but now I feel like it was all for monetary gain for Diamond. I remember being told that I needed to merge with Hilton to prevent maintenance fees from skyrocketing. Of course, feeling concerned I paid in full once again. Later I received a statement from Diamond that I still had an active timeshare. Hilton lied to me that Diamond no longer existed. These people scammed me multiple times and right now I am trying to get this disputed and resolved. I had enough and they need to acknowledge their wrongdoing.

If zero stars were an option, I would select it. A representative from HGV called my husband and positioned a 4 nights stay package for $1400. Initially my husband said he wasn't interested and told the representative no thanks, but the rep kept pushing. He asked my husband where he liked to vacation and when he said Hawaii the rep quickly told him that the offer included the Grand ***********. This seemed too good to be true so he asked questions regarding date restrictions and the rep assured him that we could book anytime with no restrictions. When we finally called to book the agent said there was no dates for the Grand Wailea available in August and they didn't know when the dates would be released. What they did have to offer was a stay at ****************, a much lower end property which we have no interest staying at. This was a complete bait and switch and we will be seeking a full refund. I am surprised that Hilton would tarnish their brand with such deceptive business practices.

Do not buy it $199 for 4 days 3 nights. They are tricky you. 1. You have the date if your booking following the holiday like MK, Labor day, 4th July , they will charge you more $129 2. When you book the date they confirmed the room for you. ( Secured the room only ) But They can't confirm the hotel that you want to stay. This is not right. So they can give you the hotel that you didn't like and want to stay. You have an agenda to travel. They said they will call 1 or 2 weeks before traveling. This is not right. When you purchase the package. You asked all the details and when you called and want to book the room and hotel, They are not doing that.3. Sales talked to me breakfast is included as Hilton. BUT NOT. You have to pay extra $80 for 4 person / per day. 4. Please record your conversation when you talked with them. 5. I understand this package is not refundable. But you can't confirm anything and extra charge many thing. I want to cancel this package get my money back. They said they will cancel and return money to my credit card. I hope they will. As i am not happy with this program. 6. This package you need to do something for them too. Which is i agreed. When you confirmed what i will receive , Please keep the promise.

Absolutely horrible business practices. I was offered a package with very specific agreements. Of course when I call to book my accommodations I am told that the package that I purchased doesnt work the way that it was explained to me. I was told I would be required to pay more money to stay where I had selected. I ask for a refund, because I can tell this is classic bait and switch. He tells me "I can see here that you signed the contract with no receipts". I explain to him that I didnt mind spending the money if I were to get what had been agreed upon, but if not i would like my $400 back. I expressed that I would like to speak to a manager, because I am not feeling good about things. The rep **** tells me he cant put me on with a manager, but he would go speak to them. After leaving me on hold for more than 10 minutes, he returns to the line and says great news...we will process your refund in 7 to 10 business days. I ask for a transaction number or an email verifying the conversation. He tells me not to worry, its recorded and in the notes..."anything else?". I have been a Hilton Honors Diamond member for years because of their excellent customer service. I REFUSE to believe this company is in any way shape or form associated with Hilton. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!

We are extremely disappointed, frustrated, and angry regarding the timeshare ownership we have with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV). We have written to request that HGV take immediate action to take back our timeshare contract with them due to HGV's breach of contract when it failed to live up to any of the expectations set by HGV's own sales team when we purchased our timeshare in November of 2021. It has been just over two years since we have become owners and with the passing of time, it has only become increasingly clear to us that HGV engaged in deceptive sales practices along with mental and emotional manipulation to get us to sign a terribly burdening contract. We have been misled, taken advantage of, and subjected to a series of unethical practices that have left us feeling trapped and financially burdened. We faithfully made monthly payments and diligently paid all the associated fees, including carryover points and maintenance fees. Due to COVID-19 pandemic we were unable to travel or utilize our property for an entire year, yet we were still required to make mortgage payments and pay exorbitant fees to rollover points. It was a slap in the face to realize that our hard-earned dollars were simply lining the pockets of Hilton executives. Our breaking point came during our inaugural trip to the Enclave as owners. We had already poured thousands of dollars into our membership, paid exorbitant fees, and sacrificed our time and energy. However, the salesperson callously dismissed our issues, implying it was our own choice. This blatant disregard for our financial situation was utterly disgusting. Our trust has been shattered, and we no longer wish to be associated with a company that prioritizes profits over the well-being and satisfaction of its customers.

I am writing this review to let the world know how frustrated I am with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV). On Nov. 14, 2023, I was approached with an offer to attend an owners update. Despite declining the initial offer of a $300 **************** gift card, the sales representative persisted and increased the offer to $400, claiming it was not a sales presentation but an owner update. During the update we met with *******. We were bombarded with questions about our travel history and future travel plans. I explicitly mentioned that my husband had recently been hospitalized with low blood platelets and was diagnosed with dementia. Instead of showing empathy or concern, ******* used this vulnerable information against us. ******* proceeded to lie, stating that we could not transition out of our existing contracts with Diamond Resorts unless we purchased more HGV properties. He proceeded to show us multiple properties, we expressed that we were not interested and could not afford anymore upgrades. This ordeal was supposed to last only 90 minutes, but it extended well beyond that, leaving us tired, confused, and frustrated. We were told that we would have the ability to rent out or sell back the new property at any time, we reiterated our financial burden and lack of funds for a down payment. To our astonishment, ******* offered us two new **************** credit cards, assuring us that we could use them for the down payment of $42,000, interest-free for one year. We were never informed about the annual membership fee of $350 per card. They also claimed that refinancing the loan with a HELOC would be a breeze, but our subsequent attempt was declined. After enduring five hours of relentless pressure, misrepresentations, & lies, we were manipulated into purchasing based on false statements regarding timeshare resale and our transition out of Diamond Resorts. Hilton Grand Vacations took advantage of an elderly couple with health issues. Shame on you!
