I wished I would have read the reviews prior to buying into our timeshare. EVERYTHING voiced by previous contributors is true. I feel like the sales person did a great job of conning us. Once we bought into the membership, we found that it is VERY difficult to book a timeshare unless you are able to plan FAR in advance, which has not been possible for us. As a result, we have had our membership since September 2021 and have NEVER used it. As stated by others, this has become a financial burden, a total waste of money and currently looking for a way out so that we, too, can redirect money into areas that will benefit our family.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

This is regarding points that were supposed to be posted to my account for a ****************************************************************** trip taken in July 2024. Hilton Honors and Hilton Grand Vacation customer service was contacted on several occasions in which was informed it would be posted on my account for the August statement, then the September statement now its November and the points are still outstanding and not credited to my account.Contacted customer service yesterday, November 7, 2024, and they informed me that the points were posted to the wrong account then was told that they would post them to the correct account only to receive another call indicating the account number given was incorrect which is false as have been getting statements via email from Hilton with that account number.Proof of the ****** points promised for attending a presentation at the HGV ************** in ********************************************* can be provided. Everyone attending the presentation on that date was promised ****** points.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

When we bought it, we were promised a dream: vacationing anywhere, anytime, without hotel hassle. Sadly, that dream quickly became a ***************** vacations was a struggle. We were misled into believing we could easily reserve our desired dates, but availability was very limited. Planning ahead felt mandatory. Often, we had to book a year in advance, and even then, dates were unavailable. Worse, when we did secure a reservation, wed often get a one-bedroom unit instead of the two-bedroom suite we paid for. It felt like a cycle of disappointment.Rising maintenance fees added to our frustrations. Each year, they climbed higher, straining our budget. As we age, the ongoing financial obligation feels daunting. Its like throwing money away, especially in years we couldnt use the timeshare due to conflicts or lack of availability.I've heard about issues with companies like Diamond Resorts. Recently, I read about the Arizona Attorney General taking action against them for misleading practices. I reached out to their office and fortunately, my case was taken on. After navigating a long process, we agreed that all outstanding fees were waived. However, were still stuck with the timeshare itself. It feels like a hollow victory when the main issue ********** anyone considering a timeshare, think long and hard before committing. The promises made during sales pitches are often too good to be true. Renting hotels or ******* is cheaper and more flexible for us. We can choose travel dates without timeshare ************** summary, our timeshare has become a heavy burden, and I wouldnt wish this on anyone else. Please, do your research and proceed carefully. There are far better vacation options that wont leave you feeling trapped and financially strained. Stay away from timeshares and their false promises!Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

THIS IS A SCAM! I went to conference in ********* in March 2024. Got suckered into going to a "90-minute" presentation. Looking back, I could have made a better choice, but opted to accept "free" show and dinner tickets and a 3 night cruise. Not only was the presentation 5 hours long and made us miss the beginning of our conference, but we were lied to, pressured, and be-little into purchasing "vacation points". We told the salesman that we had a Westgate timeshare for a few years and liked it, and he spent the first 15 minutes telling us how horrible the Westgate system was, and HGV was different and better. We tried to decline and expressed this, but a manager would come out of nowhere to up the ante. 3rd manage insisted that if we did not have the down payment, we could just open a Hilton credit card right there and make no payment for a year until March 2025. After the card was approved, we tried to get out again, but they would not let us, they called a manager who was in charge of the location so he could approve a deep discount. We felt trapped and another guy came in with a voucher for a 7 nights Alaskan cruise. We felt really pressured, but obviously not strong enough to walk away. Obviously, we ended up signing just to get out of there. They called an **** to get back to our hotel and we spent the next few days at the conference we were in ***** to attend. Got home with the intention to cancel and found out that we were just outside the rescission period. After multiple phone calls, we realize that we were stuck so we contacted the credit card company to report the ****. Needless to say, we did not get a credit, so we decided to try to get the Alaskan cruise "vacation" that was promised since we were now over $4500 into this nightmare. Call HGV and got transferred multiple times. No one had any idea what the marketing people offered we that we must have misunderstood the offer. We were told that if we paid $4000 we could get the "free" cruise. DISGUSTING!Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

I am posting this review to highlight the multiple instances of deceptive sales practices and misrepresentation by Hilton Grand Vacations. After years of my frustrating ownership experience, I feel compelled to warn others about the following issues: The sales team deliberately misled us about booking availability. During the presentation, they showed us cherry-picked destinations and dates that had openings, creating a false impression of easy booking. The reality has been completely different when trying to book locations and dates that actually work for our schedule, we consistently find no availability. When we do find available properties, we're hit with outrageous resort fees that were never adequately disclosed during the sales process. For example, one available resort charges a mandatory $300 PER DAY "all-inclusive" fee. This completely contradicts their sales pitch of "Vacation more often while spending less." These hidden fees make the program financially absurd. The sales team significantly downplayed the annual maintenance fee increases. The actual increases have far exceeded what was presented during the sales pitch. Furthermore, when I inquired about their buy-back program, I discovered my timeshare was worth only about $2,000 a devastating devaluation that was never honestly discussed during the sales process. When raising these concerns during mandatory "owner updates," instead of addressing the issues, their solution was always to upsell us to a larger, more expensive package. This predatory practice shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Based on these material misrepresentations and deceptive practices, I am formally requesting cancellation of my timeshare agreement. I strongly caution other potential buyers to avoid this company's manipulative sales tactics and misleading promises.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

Called 6 times just to get a confirmation email sent, except it still has not come. Wasting hours on the phone with useless **** like ****** ***** who just hang up on you because she cant help you while talking like a robot. Managers never call back as promised. At this point, its scary to buy flights down when you cant even trust whether you have a room or not.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

I booked a vacation marketing package where I attend a presentation and consider joining. However, this is the 2nd time I've done this over the last several years, and the 2nd time I was burned. When I was sold the package, I asked about the availability and being able to choose my dates. I bought the package in October, and the salesperson told me that if I booked in the next month, I would have my pick of dates. I bought the package, booked my flights, and called back 3 days later, and I was told that the place that we wanted to stay at, was not offered anymore, and the agent should've read his email from months before. She told me that the dates for March weren't open yet, and to try back in a few days and see if the calendars for March were open yet. I called back 2 days later, and was told that March and ***** were completely booked, and I'd have to look at May. I told her what I was told by the 2 previous representatives, and she said there's nothing she could do. It was non-refundable, and there was no place to stay in March. She refused over and over to let me speak to a supervisor. I told her I needed to speak to a supervisor, because I was told by 2 agents that the dates would be available and booked my flights. Again, she said there's nothing she an do, and asked what my goal was in speaking to a supervisor. I told her I wanted to honor the package they sold me. She said that she would see if she could get me a refund. I said the refund didn't really help, because I booked my plane tickets. She put me on hold and *** me that she was able to get me a refund. Completely ignoring me. And this is the company that wants me to purchase a $20,000-$50,000 membership from them? Stay away.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

Over time, we have invested approximately $154,000 into this venture, with the belief that this timeshare would serve as a hassle-free option for our vacation needs. Unfortunately, this is far from the reality we have experienced. Our journey with the timeshare has been met with high-pressure sales presentations, misleading information, and unfulfilled promises, leaving us feeling misguided and deceived about the property's benefits and the ease of its processes. The customer service we have encountered has been far from satisfying. Despite countless conversations with representatives, mainly ******** *****, we have continually been directed toward the Transitions program as our only avenue for cancellation. However, this service is currently on hold and even if it were active, there is no guarantee we would be accepted. This noncommittal response is neither helpful nor reassuring. We are in a financial position where we carry no debt with the company and fail to grasp why returning the timeshare is not a straightforward action. The persistence of this issue and the lack of viable solutions from the ********* company only adds to our dissatisfaction and desire to exit this.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

When you have an issue and need to talk to management, It's impossible to reach anyone and they don't call you back. Also, there is a lack of transparency when you buy your timeshare or upgrade. Sales people just want to upgrade you or sell to you and sometimes leave out details that are important.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

I want to share my experience with ********* ownership, which has become a financial burden. I bought a timeshare in March, hoping for memorable vacations, but the experience hasn't met my expectations.Since acquiring the timeshare, I haven't used it due to the complex reservation process. The need to book travel dates far in advance wasnt clear to me before signing. Life is unpredictable, and planning vacations months ahead feels impractical, especially when unexpected events can ruin plans. This rigidity limits the flexibility many travelers, especially singles like me, need.Financially, the timeshare has become challenging. With the cost increases that ****** ******* mentioned, I can no longer justify the expense. Although I have managed payments so far, rising inflation is reducing my disposable income. The money spent on this timeshare could have gone toward enjoyable experiences or future investments. The financial strain makes releasing this timeshare the most sensible option for gaining financial freedom. By eliminating this monthly obligation, I could redirect funds to areas that enrich my life, whether for spontaneous travel, saving for the future, or reducing monthly ******** summary, if you're considering a timeshare, think critically about your lifestyle and finances. My experience shows that the promise of vacation ownership can become a burden. My goal in sharing this is to help others avoid the same pitfalls. It's time for me to exit this commitment and regain my financial independence.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.
