      Agentasked if I would be interested in 3 night and 4 day excursion for a nominal fee of $199 to hold the deal. Told that that amount would be returned after presentation. At least once a week or more I was hassled in making a trip. I finally made reservations in ***********. Arrived on Saturday and went to presentation across the street on Sunday. I was in line to check in. Lady asked some questions. One of which was did I have annual income of 50k . I said no. I am retired. Without any other commentary, she announced in front of bystanders that I did qualify and gave me a card and said to call the number. I did and was told that $402 had been charged to my credit card and I would not receive $199 I had already paid. He insinuated that the hotel made the charge and couldnt be reversed. Hotel did not make the charge. Holiday Inn resorts did. They even stated that there were some shady characters and unhappy people who had attended the presentation. I checked out early because I was so upset and humiliated. I called the company the next day and asked to speak to management. I explained what happened. I told her that I could have lied about income. She relented that they would not have any way to prove otherwise. I also told her that she had no idea my circumstances and that I was comfortable in the fact that I could have entertained purchasing a vacation. She finally relented and told me they would credit me $200. Even with that I am out $500 plus the extras I spent. Guess what, two days later still have not gotten credit. Called back and somehow credit wasnt processed. And to boot, hotel Holiday Inn Express which is very nice and customer friendly, is located across street from holiday inn vacation. There is nothing around except cruise lines. It is at least 10 miles to get to civilization. No beach. Very bad experience. I accept some responsibility by not investigating the company and falling for something that sounded to good to be true.

      We have tried for three years to combine two accounts. We purchased an additional 30 thousand points because we were told we had to in order to combine the two accounts. We were also promised 5 free nights. We have been fighting with them for three years, we upgraded, we did all the paperwork and notarized it and they still refuse to combine the accounts or give us our five free nights. They lie, they lie, the wont fix it, they wont return calls, the ** excuses, the claim they will try, they lose paperwork. The ******************* was trying to help (they claimed), even the *** they wont return calls, they play dumb, the out you off and they simply just WILL not honor their word and fix this problem.

      We were extremely frustrated and disheartened to realize we were locked into a Holiday Inn contract indefinitely, along with the ongoing burden of maintenance fees despite the promise of resort usage changing. In November 2023, we booked a stay at Orange Lake Resort in Orlando, **. During check-in, we were offered a $120 gift card to attend a sales presentation aimed at upgrading our ownership. Reluctantly, we agreed to attend the next day, with no intention of making any changes to our ownership. From the start, we informed the sales representative that our time was limited, and we were not interested in altering our original contract. When he asked why, we explained our dissatisfaction and concern about being trapped in the agreement despite the changes in policies promised when we were sold the timeshare. He quickly assured us that a new clause in the contracts allowed owners and beneficiaries to exit the agreement once it was paid off. However, he was misleading about the interest rates and maintenance fees we would incur and falsely claimed that the loan could easily be refinanced through our bank. Out of frustration, we havent used the Holiday ***************** services since signing the new contracts. Now that **** recently retired at 62, we are extremely disappointed to realize we were misled into upgrading and signing new contracts that did not honor the promises made. We are demanding that our contracts be terminated at once.

      Poor Customer Service--Called the **************** ************************ for 2 days during their normal business hours. This is the message after the first ring, "Thank you for calling Holiday ******** vacation we're currently closed. Our normal business hours are Monday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Eastern Time then Tuesday from 9:00 AM to zero 40..........." This message is confusing. What time is zero 40? I called the Holiday Inn Vacation number. The representative told me there's a 2 1/2 hour wait for the **************** and rather than be place on hold and waste my time. They don't answer. The representative suggested I call back early in the morning. This means every day, Holiday ************ knows that they don't have enough employees to answer calls or to leave messages and can only be reached for a few hours, not the times on the recording or the hours their representatives tell you. I continue to get mixed message and wrong information. Don't buy their timeshare.

      DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!!I have had my timeshare and enjoyed the benefits for many years. I am at a point where I can no longer afford the annual fees and have been trying to cancel for over a week. I've called to be put on hold, and no one answers. I call back the next day and a message they are closed during normal business hours. I have sent multiple online inquiries to have someone call me with no response. I've called Holiday ***************** directly twice and they transfer me to a black hole where no one answers. I have been a very loyal customer for many years, and this reflects very poorly on ***, ****, ******** and all affiliated brands.

      Dear BBB,This is addressing the falsely selling and misrepresentation of selling us a timeshare with Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Everything about this company and their timeshare they sell are built on lies and scams. We have been lied to by them time and time again and they do not address their lies. The maintenance fees for this timeshare was not fully explained, but constantly increased and they told us we would be able to book at various location destinations. The places we have stayed at have been a total let down. The rooms were different from what they showed and described. This was much like a bait and switch. We sometimes had to go through a third party booking to get a place we wanted. When Holiday Inn took this over from **********, everything went downhill and made many changes to ownership and prices went up. We no longer want to do business with Holiday Inn and do not want to keep their timeshare.

      DON'T DO IT - SCAM - they take your money to be a Signature Member then when you want to schedule 10 months out they tell you no availability - but any *** can call and make a reservation for the same date you want. Don't do it! I am an owner for over 15 years and will now be doing everything possible to get out!

      We are writing this review to express our profound disappointment with the Holiday ****************** All consumers should be forewarned that the process of closing on these purchases was alarmingly rushed, with no disclosure of our key rights as purchasers, including your right to rescind the contract. We were merely shown where to sign, with no opportunity to ask questions or understand the full extent of the agreement. This omission of crucial information, combined with the high-pressure environment, constitutes a clear violation of our rights and can only be seen as deliberate deception on the part of **** employees. We have written to them to share our intent to take legal action against this company for what can only be described as deceptive practices, elder abuse, and outright scamming of a military veteran's family. Our experience from the inception of our contract has been fraught with misinformation, high-pressure sales tactics, and a complete disregard for ethical conduct. We would be remiss if we did not highlight the fact that this experience has not only been financially draining but emotionally taxing as well. As a military veteran, I am appalled at the lack of respect and integrity shown by **** employees. We have demanded immediate action to rectify this situation, including a full refund of all monies paid towards the timeshare purchases, along with a release from all future obligations. Should these issues not be resolved to our satisfaction, we are prepared to take legal action, including reporting these practices to the appropriate consumer protection and veteran affairs agencies.

      I would like to express our extreme frustration and dissatisfaction with the experience we had with the Club Vacations tour in ************. Our tour presentation was not professional. It was in a crowded area with the loud conversation at a table right next to us which made it more difficult to follow our tour staff. The tour staff had a strong dialect, with a very peculiar pronunciation which was very difficult to follow even though I am fully fluent in English after 30 years living in this country. He did not speak clearly, swallowed words and didnt look very motivated to sell us anything. I kept asking him to repeat what he ******* wife speaks good enough English and gets around easily in common situations. Sometimes she could not understand the sales person either and I was helping her a bit. It was not a direct translation but my commentary of what was said with my thoughts.The salesperson clearly wanted to go home due to the bad weather which was getting worse by the minute and he clearly looked for an excuse to stop the presentation not waste our time and let him go to his family as he mentioned twice.He found an excuse in our conversation between me and my wife by calling it "translation" which in reality was mostly my commentary on what was said and not a translation as such, which they don't allow as it turned out.After one hour of presentation when my very patient little daughter wanted to go to the restroom the sales person took advantage of this break and asked his manager to cancel the presentation.This was unacceptable and unprofessional in my view and reflected lack of motivation and ability to sell the product rather than lack of English skills on our side.Then we received a follow up email from Holiday Inn Club Vacations with the payment confirmation for the full cost of the hotel stay (extra $529) which was like adding insult to the ********* the end we wasted lots of time, paid extra $$$, lost $100 discount and 10K points.
