    Requested bid to ship between XPO terminals. I provided dimensions (one was 8' or 96"). Estimate was written as 95". Turns out that the charges for 96" item are TWO-fold what I was quoted. I wasn't offered the opportunity to cancel my shipping with this exorbitant upcharge. I requested consideration or adjustment of charges in light of deceptive estimate and dramatic change in cost. Was told impossible and process doesn't permit. I was taken advantage of and would recommend you work with other entities. Customer service agent was not honest. I requested reduction in exorbitant and unexpected charges (I was willing to pay some extra) and was essential told it was all my fault and I would be given no refund. Looked at other comments and wish I had reviewed before using - also wish I could give negative stars.

    First and foremost, we apologize for your experience and thank you for providing us your feedback.


    We understand billing adjustments are an inconvenient part of the shipping process and we do our very best to ensure our shippers avoid them at all costs. Please note that all carriers verify the information provided on the cargo they handle and if there are any discrepancies with what was reporting during the quote phase and the actual weight, class or dimensions as noted by the carrier, a billing adjustment is issued by the carrier.


    After reviewing the call in November 2022 between our agent and yourself, it was discovered that you did in fact give the dimensions of 8 or 96 high. When you spoke again in May, 2023, the agent verified the weight and dimensions with you and stated that it was 95 high and you stated there abouts.  If we were notified at this time that the shipment was 96, we could have re-rated at those dimensions.


    As FreightCenter was charged by the carrier for the additional length, we would like to refund you for one half of that additional charge of $231.66, to your credit card if that is acceptable.  Please reply to this review or send an email to ***************************** and reference your shipment # ********.

    Absolutely terrible customer service and business practices. Will charge your card repeatedly without prior authorization from you as a customer. Customers beware!

    Your shipment was showing a balance due,and our ********************* charged your credit card (as per our Terms and Conditions).  As soon as that was done,it was realized that it was an error. Your card was immediately refunded.


    Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience, and we are happy we were able to get it resolved.

    All they want is your money. I would give negative stars if possible. They will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get your shipment booked, then they will do nothing to help. It took two phone calls and a week to get XPO to pick it up. I was told it is a two-day transit from Fontana, California to Olympia, Washington. Twelve days later it is still in California. They have your money and don't care. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER. Call a shipper directly. NO HELP, NO DISCOUNT, NO REFUND.

    As a Third-************************ FreightCenter requests a pickup from the freight carrier on the requested day. Unfortunately,they dont always make it to pick up on that requested day. When this happens,they will roll it over to the next business day.


    Its important to keep in mind that all transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and not guaranteed. The carriers oversee scheduling. We do work with all of our carriers to ensure a smooth process, but there are always factors such as weather, holidays etc. that are beyond anyones control.


    We hope this information helps clear up any confusion. Again, thank you for your feedback as it provides valuable information on how we can improve the customer experience.
