      My husband ***** and myself ****** were involved in a serious car accident back in July 2022. We were sent to Akumin mri also know as Rose ********** When we went to the actual MRI place they were amazing. The issue is the records and billing department. They will not release our records to our Attorney. The **************** has called numerous times and emails them. I called the records department myself on October 27, 2022 the gal told me on the phone that she saw the email and had sent it to the original person that emailed them for our records. Our **************** has not received anything yet. I called Akumin again today. We can not get our needed surgeries in our back or neck because they have delayed so long! We need these records sent over immediately. The girl at the records department was rude and not helpful. I told her our situation and she didnt care she said she would call the attorneys office by the end of the day today. I gave her the correct email from the attorney. She said she didnt care. This has been going him since the middle of September . We are in need of surgeries and this company is delaying this and will NOT help they have had the request in the records for sometime now and Im tired of them lying to us saying they were sent them they say they never received an email! All lies! I asked for the supervisor and got forwarded to a voicemail.

      Here is a summary of the case to date.

      The patients were seen at Akumin in ********, **. 

      Medical records for Mr. ********************* were requested via email to ***** *************************** who then spoke with the patients' Attorney on November 7, 2022 advising them to email our medical records department manager ***********************************. Records for ************** were subsequently sent to Atty ************************* on November 8, 2022. 

      After speaking with *******************************, paralegal to ************************* they confirmed that they received the records for **************, however they have not submitted a request for *************** to Akumin as they are still waiting for *************** to complete a records release form issued by the ****************** which will allow the Attorney to request records on her behalf. 

      To date we have no record of *************** requesting her own records to be sent to Attorney ******************* office.

      I contacted Akumin to make an appointment for a scan. I was given an appointment (3 weeks later than my call) for July 1st. I thought the customer service representative was abrupt and abrasive but I figured I got him on a bad day. The representative did not provide any information as to what I needed to do before my appointment. (Should I fast, wear particular clothing, etc..) . On Friday the 29th customer service called to cancel my appointment. They said the person that does the scan quit abruptly. Again, they were not very friendly, no apologies, just quite ****. They made another appointment for me for August 25th (almost a month later). So now it's taken 2 months to get an appointment. Again, no info regarding what I needed to do. The afternoon before my appointment (which was at 7:00am **************** called me and asked for my blood work. I was never told I needed blood work. They were so rude and they told me I could get it done there (I felt it was a scam not telling me so they could make that extra $). Each time **************** called they were VERY RUDE and abrasive. The people at the facility were nice and said they receive complaints about **************** all the time. I sent an email and a **************** Supervisor called me and she too was RUDE!! If you could by-pass customer service and go to the facility you'd be ok, but if you have to go through them they are just AWFUL. I will not go there ever again if I have to deal with them. I wanted to speak to Corporate but was unable to find a phone number for them. If Corporate would contact me I'll share more.
