I have received numerous phone calls from this number after specifically stating we are not interested and goodbye then hanging up they keep calling back and harassing ** non-stop. Someone needs to stop this company from doing this it is a nuisance to our company's time.Business Response

I have received numerous calls today, at the business that my wife and I own, from American Power and **** **** trying to get our business to give them information from a utility bill. We do not want to engage with this company, but they have been ignoring my requests that they not call again. From past complaints about this company to the BBB, I see that you suggest the customer's phone number be placed on your Do Not Call list, so I am requesting that you do the same for our business's phone number. American Power and Gas should be taken to court for a class action law suit for price gouging. They promised rates that were competitive and for the first few months, they were, but the rates were variable and are now more than 200% the average rate! West Penn Power is charging the company $190.00 for the last 2 month's usage. However American Power and Gas is charging $1,469.72!! It's beyond illegal! I have just switched to a competitor, and they are still billing me for the month of February, when the competitor was to have taken over our account! Then, I got a notice in the mail that the "carrier" made an error in our billing and we owe them an additional $700 for improper billing for the past few months. It's horse shit! They should be forced to pay us back for the difference in the rates. We were promised to be billed LESS THAN the original power company's rates. West Penn Power charges **** cents per KWH while AP&G charged us ***** cents. They have broken their contract and someone bigger than just us needs to address this!Business Response

I have asked the same callers several times not to call me back and put me on the do not call list. I have stated to them I am driving do not call me and I hang up. They immediately call back and leave messages like this."Yeah fill this is ****** Call me back from American power and gas look I'm sorry for getting a lot of calls I haven't called you that much it's only the second time and it's been six weeks so I apologize I hate them too but why don't you give me a call when you have two minutes to look at the ** account because rates are going up a good time to look at it and if you call me you won't get more random calls the number here ************* just on my extension is **** by the pound key and I'll show you what's going on and why you're getting so many cause he get them for a reason all right you have a nice weekend look forward to speaking with you thanks"I call back and put in his extension and get sent to nothing. American Power & Gas uses extremely aggressive, predatory, and uses scam tactics. They enrolled ** without proper approval from the business owner or authorized person. They started charging over priced kwh for our electrical and gas usage at higher rates in the winter time without notice. They are charging $.25/KW whereas PECO is charging $.09/KW. Requested them to return unauthorized over prices charges sneaked on our accounts under name of *****************. asking them to match PECO charge and refund remaining money, but no luck they are refusing to refund looking for BBB assistance to get refunded for the over priced amount charged on our *****************.Business Response

SOMEHOW THIS COMPANY ENDED UP ON MY UTILITY BILL? AN OLD NON VALID BUSINESS NUMBER WAS USED TO SETUP THIS ACCOUNT.THEY CANCELLED MY SERVICE AND OPENED AN INVESTIGATION.MY BILL INCREASED 100% THIS YEAR MY CONSUMPTION DECREASED 50% OVER LAST YEAR. Called this company in September 30, 2022 when I found out that our organization was being charged for sully of our electric that we did not sign up for. Nothing has changed. I have contacted the company again today, 2/9/2023 and spoke with "****" account manager, who said that he would investigate and make this right. NYSEG's supply charge is .089/kwh. I was called multiple multiple times by ***** at AP&G she explained to me that I should sign up to have their service as a supplier to my husbands business, after multiple harassing phone calls I told them ok I will sign up as she stated they will save us money, last month my NYSRG BILL was $260 as what we pay approx each month, this month it is for $735$519 going to AP&G ***** had assured me over and over that they are going to save me money save me money and now I have over $500 in charges to this scammer company! She also gave me all of her info and call any time with any questions so Ive been calling and guess what, no answer! What am I suppose to do?Business Response

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the practices of American Power and Gas (APG). For the past two weeks, despite repeatedly declining their services, I continue to receive numerous phone calls from the company that are interrupting my business. They call multiple times a day requesting to talk to the owner, who has stated they are not interested. These unsolicited calls are not only disruptive, but also inconvenient and unprofessional. I have made numerous attempts to stop the calls, but they keep calling. I request to be placed on the "do not call" list. I am requesting to be put onto the "do not call" list and for APG to stop engaging in further unwanted telemarketing practices. I believe that it is imperative for companies to respect the wishes of individuals who have declined their services and to adhere to the "do not call" regulations set forth by the government.Thank you for your attention to this matter. Energy Supplier quotes a variable rate with a cap quote includes 25% rebate if customer for 12 consecutive months. after 6 months, rate triples, in an attempt to get you to cancel before 12 months / rebate due.Business Response

I investigated and found Mr. ******** concerns were addressed by our *************************** before receiving this complaint. We provide a 25% rebate check to our customers every 12 consecutive billing cycles for their one-month average supply cost. Although this customer will not complete 12 billing cycles and technically not be eligible, the customer service agent offered to process a manual rebate for this consumer based on the accumulated billing cycles hes had with AP&G.
We have reached out to ****************** since receiving this complaint , but unfortunately, we have not been able to connect. If the consumer provides further information, we will alert the Bureau promptly.
