September 2023, can't remember exact date. I open my computer and my machine was block it had a screen telling me to call an 800 number. the Tech said they were from mircrosoft, which turned out not to be true, I found out recently, They made me pay $399. back then to fix the problem, I paid thinking I was dealing with a legitimate business. Then they called me again asking me to pay an additional $200 for added protection, which I thought was all ready covered. I been scammed once, dont intend to be scammed again, paying for services I can't afford. I live on disability, I can't afford this continued hounding by these people. Why aren't these people stopped and arrested?Initial Complaint

trojan virus block on computer and it stated that Apple locked my computer. I called the ph number given and it went to a tech agent to assist me in removing false viruses on my computer. After researching this computer I found it to be a scam and they had gained access to my computer and deleted miscellaneous files off of my computer. They asked for payment via check for services and a check for virus protection. I have stopped payment on the 1st check requested and did not send the 2nd one.Initial Complaint

I logged on to my laptop on Feb 1st to find I had no access to log on it was completely locked up with only an option to call a phone # ************** company name: Devine Mart and instructions saying I needed to call that number to fix my locked up laptop. I did and I was told my computer has viruses and other issues. They told me they could fix it and provide continued support if I send them money $250-$350. I did mail a money order this last Friday Feb 3rd for $250 reluctantly. I now have access to my laptop but still have concerns if they still have access to my laptop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank youInitial Complaint

They assured me that it would run faster when they had cleaned it, but it does not. i am concerned that they may be able to access other personal information. i want this company out of my life forever.Initial Complaint

On Jan 22, 2023 my husband received a pop up message stating his computer was hacked. He was presented with a message from Apple to call the following number ************. The company is Devine Mart. They understood what the message was and began a series of three conversations, first a collection of the problem, second a billing/ collection person, third the actual engineer who did the work. All I was told that my computer s IP address was hacked by ****** and ****** user who were trolling the lap top for financial information. I was panicking and my heart rate went up to 75, I thought I was going to pass out. Before any fixes could be run I would have to pay $300.00 with a picture of the check. I couldnt do that and she told me to giver check number and the Bank name. Once she gave me an invoice, she passed me onto the engineer. He ran a script and assured me everything was removed. I feel Id they were working with Apple Computer, they would have a contract with them. No such luck. After reading other reviews, I suspect we are all going through a scam.Initial Complaint

My mother was recently taken advantage of by this company, which is perpetrating a textbook technical support scam (please ****** 'tech support scam' or see the following FTC link for further information:******************************************************************************).This particular scam seems to consist of the following parts. There may be more, but my mother only made it as far as step 4.1. It begins with a browser popup that seems to 'take control' of the user's PC, with an ***** number given to contact.2. Once the target calls the number, the false 'tech support' person requests remote control of the user's computer, after which they put on a false display of issues discovered. The target is then requested to make some sort of payment, on the order of $1,000.3. Soon afterward, the target begins getting phone calls from a text app, spoofing numbers from across the country. They are contacted and told that the company is going out of business, and that they would like to provide a refund. The target is told that they can cancel service, but that they must pay some sort of 'back charges' before they can do that. The agent again requests remote access to the target's computer, and again puts on a false display showing the supposed removal of software.4. If the target will not pay the so-called 'cancellation fee' (something on the order of $2,000), they are threatened that either their account will be directly charged a 'renewal' (something on the order of $10,000), or they will be sent 'legal documents'.The best thing that you can do is ignore any calls or threats, and under no circumstances should you allow them to access your PC. You may also consider either having a friend of family member with some technical knowledge look over your PC for any issues they may have caused. If you don't have such a friend of family member, you may take it to a reputable, local tech support provider and tell them what has happened.Initial Complaint

After having a frozen computer screen, a pop-up appeared with this company. I authorized them to have access to my computer screen to "fix" the problem. It's not clear what it is that they did, but I sent them a check for over $1200. This was in June, 2022. Today, Dec. 19, 2022, I received a call from them letting me know that my service had expired. Since I had learned that this company was a scam, I told them I was not interested in renewing. They said that in order to cancel, I had to give them access to my screen. When I declined, they said that, since I was not willing to go through their cancellation process, they would have to enroll me in a "lifetime" membership, and that they would therefore "charge' me $9800. Their follow-up phone calls were slick and subtly intimidating. I am waiting to see whether they are accessing my bank account, using the initial check and the bank details on the check. A complete scam. $9800.!!!Initial Complaint

Transaction date: 11-10-22 Pop-up frozen screen w/phone number to call to "clean" machine of malware. Company requested access to computer to eliminate problem. I provided it. MISTAKE. So far no further contact, after "follow up" call to "ensure" that problem was resolved. The obvious problem (locked screen) was remedied, but I fear they may have poked around and gotten private & financial info off my computer. Quoted ridiculous pricing for "long term" protection. I declined. But I fear it's a scam and I've been had for $249.I'll check financial matters daily now.Want this "company" out of my life. Please advise.Initial Complaint
