I have been using this company's services for about a year now and in that time they were not communicating with me or delivering on their promises. So in March of 2024 I requested to cancel my services. They continued to schedule my phone appt but did not actually call me, finally in September after asking again they put me with a different account manager and promised they would do better, unfortunately they did not deliver so on 12/4/2024 I requested to cancel services again. I called and emailed multiple times requesting this. I finally got a call back and was told it would be cancelled. I continued to be changed in Dec. My payments always come out on the 12th and this month they ran the payment on the 1st. My accounts manager called me on friday 1/10/2025, which I did not schedule. I told him I was very disappointed that I had yet to hear from them and was still being charged. He told me that it would be noted and someone would call me. When we got off the phone I got an email that I missed my appointment, with this message attached " It looks like we were unable to get a hold of you for your scheduled appointment time, even when we cant talk to you, we're always working on your account. Below is a recap of the appointment, a scheduling link for my calendar to have another appointment and go over a few things. I look forward to talking to you soon!" Which is not what we talked about. This company is a scam and takes advantage of people that trust in their services. They also have disconnected my access to the web portal for my account. All I want is to cancel services and get a refund on themonthsthat I requested cancellation.Business Response

Apex Media relentlessly cold-called my business and used high-pressure sales tactics to sell me Voice Search Activation and *** services, which I quickly realized I didn't need. I attempted to cancel the *** service within 24 hours but was not allowed to do so. I spoke with multiple representativesAnthony, Makayla, ******** and Dominquethroughout this process. They were calming while reassuring me that they would provide excellent service despite their horrible reviews. They were professional in delaying my cancellation request. Since it was the holiday season, it was easy for them to stall me.Each representative presented themselves as my personal contact, but I was shifted from one to another each time I called. They managed to delay my cancellation or service, past Christmas, claiming that everyone was out of the office. Currently, I have not undergone onboarding, have not specified my keywords, they have posted my private address on 45 search engines, and written generic "About" sections without my input. I have been unable to reach anyone in their office for a month to resolve these issues. Yet, when my January payment failed on December 25, they miraculously had someone available to call me to collect another payment! ( I had previously told ******* when she refused to give a refund that I wanted to use my initial $500 worth and then cancel the monthly *** service.)After New Year's I began calling them repeatedly. Unfortunately, no one answers the phone; it rings until a message states that the person's mailbox is not set up. I spent $129.99 on Voice Search Activation, yet they did not register my business. I also spent $498 on Search Engine Optimization but cannot obtain any documentation or fixes for their initial mistakes. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. I paid them my hard-earned money to help grow my business, and now I want either a refund or proof that they have provided the services they promised.Customer Answer

Surprisingly a *** that had been scheduled to call me on January 10th actually kept the appointment. I was quite doubtful since I had already blocked the payment. ***** was quite helpful; (as were all the previous ***s) he helped me through the process of registering my business on voice searches and started the process of SEO for my ****** page. Although I had a horrible experience with them for the past month and would never give them a positive review, I feel satisfied with the service that they have offered me. You do not have to post my negative review. Thank you for all that you do to protect consumers.Business Response

I received a call this morning, I was told my business wasn't showing up on ******, *****, *****, or Siri, and for $149.99 a one-time purchase and then $19.99 a month they would add my business. I signed up. I then went on the BBB and saw that this company was a scam so I called back and gave my name, the woman then hung up on me. I've tried calling customer service and left a message, I've emailed them to no avail. I've called my credit card company and I'm unable to dispute the charge until it has been posted. I plan on handling this through my credit card company from now on. I wanted to report them so anyone in the future who is looking for information will be aware that they take your money and then hang up on you minutes later.Business Response

I received a cold call from Apex Media Solutions in Sept. 2024. The man sounded convincing and I signed up for voice activation and cleaning up my business's online presence. We later did a zoom mtg. and they showed me that they fixed some online search engine issues. However, after a couple months, I decided I could no longer afford their services. I was initially told that I could pause the program at any time, with no problems, but that is where I was MISLEAD. In November, after repeated calls and emails, I finally reached my Apex manager who was NO HELP at all. After telling her to cancel my service, she did not. She said a supervisor would contact me, but none did. And again, $199 was pulled from my account. I called again and finally got ahold of her and she said that she thought the issue was resolved and I was going to stay with their services. To this I vehemently replied that she was incorrect, and for her to cancel future ******** as well as refund me the $199. She again said a supervisor would call me, this time it would be by the end of the day. No supervisor contacted me and nothing was refunded. So I called their billing department and a woman there said that there would be no charge for December and she'd assign me a new Apex Manager, going forward at only $99/month to be pulled in January. Guess what? They just pulled another $199 for December. Now it's January. I just got off the phone with another woman in billing and she said they would refund me. I'll believe it when I see it. Altogether, I have paid them $1,194.00. I think this whole company is untrustworthy. The billing department does NOT follow through with their promises. I highly recommend that NO business does business with them.Business Response

Apex media completely ripped me off. They promised me They would That they would work to make my Internet presence more visible. They said they would sign me up for different media outlets, and many other things when I asked them to show me what they have done so far They ceased all contact and I have not been able to get a response from them at all. Theyve taken over $1600 for me and cannot provide me with any proof of what theyve done they dont return my calls or my text message or my emails.Business Response

The same instance has occurred when we attempted to discuss a resolution for the complaint which entails the same information as the original case. Once contacted we are trying to provide a proper breakdown of services that have been completed successfully to ensure there is a clear understanding of the purchase. Mr. ***** uses profanity is emotionally responsive and not open to any resolution. Upon the review and numerous complaints left by Mr. ***** our billing department has issued a refund of his last month of service thus providing a month of service for free to provide compensation. As a company who is dedicated to customer satisfaction we are willing to stay open with our communication to ensure this matter is resolved with Mr. ****************** style="font-size: 0.875rem;">This is what we find to be a successful resolution of the case due to the circumstances. I received a call from Apex Media Solutions on 12/13/24 with a sales pitch involving my business not being visible on ****** or other search engines. **** was very convincing on how important voice control was for my business growth and I had a bad feeling about it because of past experiences with being scammed. He claimed that he was previously in the same industry I was in and I believed him. The initial charge was $179.99 which was already a lot for me. **** then brought up the fact that they also manage all media platforms for $500 a month with a $500 initial fee. I told him that I absolutely cannot afford either of those. Eventually he waved the initial fee and claimed that the original cost of $179 would be credited to my first monthly payment. He said that the remaining payments will be $299 a month so the $179 would make it (approximately) $500. I then agreed as the offer seemed too good to pass up. My card was charged again for the $299 as discussed. I received the onboarding call the following day and was told that I could not get an appointment with my account manager until January 9th. I asked what will be involved in the current month that I have already paid for. The answer was vague and I did not feel very confident about it. I reached out to the account managers email address as I was very confused about what I had paid for. I got no response. Today is 12/26/24 and I called customer service to cancel and get a refund for the prior fees I was charged. The sales pitch continued and the agent was persistent about the importance of this investment. I repeatedly asked to cancel and to receive a refund and I was told that she will leave a note for the billing department when they get back into office. I asked when they would be back in office and she was unsure of her answer, which was After January 2nd or 3rd. I asked when I will be billed again and I was told that I will be billed again BEFORE my appointment with said account manager. This is a SCAM.Business Response

I signed up in March, 2024 for Citations and ********* services. This service was supposed to increase the ****** ranking of my business, *************** Sales. I paid a $199.99 set-up fee and have been billed $199.99 a month since then. I also signed up for Voice Optimization, which was supposed to make my business top listed on alexa ******** The set-up fee for that was $99.99 and I have been billed $19.99 a month since. My ****** business page was changed and all of my previous reviews were removed. My ****** ranking has not increased and my business has decreased. I beleive this is a scam. On October 28th I requested **** cancel my subscription and refund the $2039.55 I had been charged. They did reach out to me, but did not refund the money or cancel my services. I have been charged an additional $439.96 in the last 2 months. My ****** reviews are still missing, my ****** ranking is worse than ever and I feel taken advantage of. As a small business, $220.00 a month is a lot of money. I was promised the world and was given less than nothing.Customer Answer

I started with Apex Media Solution in March. Approx. September I missed a meeting and expected them to reach back out to me to reschedule. Nothing for 2 months. I then tried to reach out multiple times, emails and voice message. You never can get someone directly, that raised a red flag. I contacted a local web company to reevaluate my internet presence to see if there has been anything done. All my evaluation failed. They have not done a thing. I didn't notice an uptick in ****** calls. Traffic increased slightly. The company that evaluated said they didn't do anything. I have paid approx $4000.00 and have not received anything they promised, just buy more products. I have not been able to talk to a single person. My accounts with Apex are not accessible. I was receiving multiple phone calls a day from this company trying to get me to sign up for the voice recognition system with ******* ****** etc. I was told I would be displayed as the top provider in my area for the services I provide. I paid $220 after being told I would only be charged $199. Even after paying the $220, I still would receive multiple spam calls from this same company, even though I am already a customer. I emailed them and requested that my account my cancelled as I no longer need or want their services and requested no further charges be made to my card. I was contacted back and told someone would be calling me. I was never contacted and was again charged another $19.99, weeks after I had requested to have my account cancelled and was told someone would be in contact with me. Complete scamBusiness Response

I started working with this company in July 2024. They were ok at the beginning, but then after a few months they became very difficult to work with. I signed a month-to-month contract and have been attempting to cancel for over a month now. They are still charging my card and the scheduling department claim I need to meet with an account manager to complete my cancellation; when I schedule a call, they don't call at the scheduled time and then claim I'm the no show. Their services are lacking and always call at inconvenient times. There is no number that you can call to speak to customer services at any time. They have to call you and you have to be available whenever they're ready. I would not recommend this company to anyone.Business Response
