1 starCoast Dental in ****************, ** not concerned about patient's health. Refuse to order Antibiotic prior to your Dental procedure even when they have signed form from Cardiologist that it is required.Review fromAires R

1 starThe Coast Dental Office owes me $697 for treatment they failed to complete with my mother. In March of 2024 they promised a refund. It is now September of 2024 and still I have not been refunded. They said that they have refunded my funds in June of 2024. My bank denied such transaction. I have a very difficult time contacting the people responsible for returning my funds. They promise to return my call but they never do. This dental office is got to be the worst establishment in the country.Review fromSuzanne C

1 starThis company needs to be SHUT down!!!! They are unethical and dishonest. Went to 2 different offices in ***********, hoping that the 2nd one would be better. It was WORSE. Besides messing up the appointment time 3 times, on the last visit I simply wanted to get my 86 yr old mother's teeth cleaned. They came out 15 minutes later to let me review an "estimate" sheet for the needed work (mind you, was only there for a cleaning). Insurance covered the cleaning but the copay for the rest of the work was $850!!! I asked why insurance would not cover that and there was no real answer. In my experience if insurance does not cover it, it is not a necessary service. I was told that her gums were infected and she needed liquid antibiotic treatment. Her gums were fine. So I told them no, just to clean her teeth. They told me the dentist said she needed it (mind you, it was a video visit--not even an actual exam). They refused to do the cleaning without the "treatment" for $850. I work in healthcare (44 years) and have never heard of such a thing! What can be done to close down this unscrupulous business??Review frompeyton b

1 starWent in for the first time on 6/21/24 & was told I need gingivitis cleaning. They told me if I don't do this my teeth would fall out - so of course I agree to the cleaning but reschedule it for the next week because I had already spent TWO HOURS in the office for what was supposed to be a general cleaning. Unfortunately for me and everyone else - they only have one cord for each machine & one doctor... resulting in EVERYONE waiting longer than usual. Ok, whatever. I go back in for my cleaning & they tell me I have to get this special mouthwash or the cleaning will have been for nothing & forced me into teeth whitening strips after multiple times of me saying NO. Set me up on a payment plan for my $800+ bill. Also, texted me a month after my appointment saying I owed them $63+ with a bill of line items that do NOT equate to $63+. Did not think anything was out of the ordinary until I missed my payment & called my insurance to see if any claims were made by Coast. There were four claims made & do you want to guess how much I am owed to pay out of pocket? ZERO DOLLARS. I have been trying to get a hold of the billing department & no answer. I have called scheduling to get through to billing - they tell me they will reach out to billing & they will get back to me "as soon as possible" which according to them is 2+ months. I can not stop the loan from auto-drafting unless THEY send a cancellation letter but if I can't get a hold of anyone what the heck am I supposed to do? Called their corporate office - nothing. DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS ANY MONEY - THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!Review fromJoo K

1 starSimilar story. My son was told he needs deep cleaning (my whole family has never had anything but routine cleaning with other dentists). They had my dental insurance information months before the cleaning appointment, and the front staff assured me that the services were covered. I found out later that dental insurance did not cover any of those services, and I ended up paying over $230 more than what they told me I would owe. Definitely would not believe what the office staff tells you regarding billing. Better check with your dental insurance before getting anything done with this clinic.Review fromEve N

1 starI went to the Coast Dental in ************ location. They made my first time temporarily dentures I absolutely loved them. Used my insurance on the temporaries. The Office closed due to not enough help. Then I was sent to the *********,** location to have the permanent set made. Which I paid full price for. They told me one price.I paid in full. Then slipped in a new paper saying I owed more because the receptionist made a mistake! Told Dr. ***** that I want my permanent set exactly like the temporary. I know I had to have the front bite on the two front teeth adjusted just a smidge I didnt want to mess up the look.************* proceeded to adjust them as she saw fit to her liking. Not as I ask. Heres the kicker. The same lady who made the molds that I loved. She made the same exact molds at the ************** as well. I could have lived with the bite. I loved how the looked so much. When I first got them in. They ask me how I liked them. I said I was glad to have teeth. Asked and hurried me to write a survey. That wasnt complete and scrambled. Once I go home and the swelling went down. I looked like Mrs. ********* from the kid move. I went back for a couple of adjustments and nothing helped. I ask for a do over and the doctor said no. I told her I paid full price and I told her these were not what I wanted and paid for. She called me a liar. She was the one telling the untruth. She had no one else back there. She said she did what her notes said. I was crying profusely and said that I would lay the teeth on the counter and kindly ask for a refund because they were so wrong. Unless you cans make it right like I paid highly for. And was humiliated and barely left my house for two years. She said no. That I would have to pay her fees. I tried to call corporate. They would not return calls. The Corporate Supervisor was in the office 3 time. And said she would call me back and never did. This took place between 7-2021 - 11-2023. I just emotionally able to talk about.Review fromBrenda O

1 starOn 3-5-24 I had an appt for cleaning. They told me a charge to pay up front. I refused. If insurance didn't cover it I wasn't going to have it done. Couldn't afford. So walked out. About 30 minutes later the hygienist called me to say that it was no charge so I rescheduled for the following Tue 3-22-24. Went in and was told by person showing us to the room it was no charge. Then when the hygienist came in she also said it was no charge. So I let her do the cleaning. About a week later I get a bill for $510.48. I refused to pay. I sent the billing office in Orlando a note refusing to pay. I took a copy to the local office informing them of refusal to pay. As for as I'm concerned this is very unprofessional and illegal. I'm (Lou) writing this on behalf of my sister (Brenda), I'm her care giver.Review fromJohn M

1 starLying thieves. On July 22 2024 I had a panoramic x-ray and an oral x-ray, they determined that I needed 2 teeth pulled. I got 2 injections of a novocaine and a simple extraction of 2 teeth. When I checked out I was told that I owed $308.60. I called the office and was told that the billing department was not available. I then called the insurance company and they told me that everything they had done was covered by my insurance. On top of that, they charged the insurance company in excess of $3,200!!! I'd like some answers and retribution,.Review fromDow D

1 starApril/July 2024 - Tallahassee Coast Dental refused to provide cleaning service covered by insurance without add on services. Once we paid for add on services, refused to provide cleaning service without paying more than agreed upon insurance rate. Finally, refused to send x-rays to new dentist we sent our daughter to so she could get a cleaning completed. Horrible ethics with this establishment.Review fromDeborah R

1 starBed management very disrespectful on everything, I started going to this dentist September of 2023. I went and I had three teeth pulled they charged my Humana insurance company for 6 teeth being pulled. I also went in for a full denture plate and a partial for the bottom I had impressions done on both they also had called me and told me that they lost the impressions. So I had to go back in the end of September do another impressions up and the and I made appointment to go back to have them fitted and they canceled 16 appointments on me and I never got my dentures all my plates This is the worst dentist I've ever ever been to. They had billed my insurance company and they have gotten paid three times for the same thing. The last time I've been to this dentist was October 28th 2023 and they've canceled multiple appointments and I've been on the phone with my insurance company and the dentist the three-way call. Next thing I know the dentist put in for a visit that I supposedly went to in March with a dentist that retired back in November they said I was at the dentist and I would never was so they filed and they received money for something they never did. Just letting you all know nobody should be going to this dentist they should be closed the worst dentist I've ever been to. Now it's July of 2024 and I still never received calls I called them today July 16th 2024 some lady answered the phone and was so rude she was talking to somebody else and then hung up on me now they won't answer their phone I have every right to walk into that dentist and you request my impressions but it's not worth it just don't go to the dentist they are horrible
