In May 24, I vsiited regarding a dental emergency. I checked in with the receptionist and asked for an appointment. a long waiting, ********************************, office manager, told me that there was a block on my records and they were not allowed to see me. I asked her why She said there was a note in the records to not treat me. She could not provide any reason why I could not be treated. I told her I never received a letter from their office that I was no longer a patient. She said that DDS *************************** had entered this information in my file. He would not see me to expalin. When I asked to see him, they said he was not available or would not see me. it was a while since my last visit, on this visit, I paid in full for all services. There was no confrontation with the office staff that would result in me being blacklisted at this clinic. Before departing, I asked again if this was the standard practice at this clinic. Apparently it was. To resolve this issue I called the dental office 4 times in Jun and Jul. Three times I got their answering service, left message and never received a call back. One the fourth attempt I reached ***************. She had made no effort to find my recorders, which apparently had been digitized and moved to another location. On 3 Jul *************** told me she would find the recorders and investigate no update provided. She also mentioned that they had denied service to many patients, she did not elaborate on how many or why. IAW with FL Statue ******* Dentist of Record, patient records is required to maintain the patients recorders. Coast dentals management privacy and administrative practices do not conform to this statue.

I would give it a zero, but I must leave at least a one-star to leave a review. I had a cleaning at this establishment by Tech Gina, I decided to check my claims on my Health Insurance and noticed that the claim was half denied so I started digging into it to find that Coast Dental added a partial cleaning to my claim which was never done. I decided to reach out to my Insurance where we did a 3-way call to find out why they had charged for a service I did not get. The so-called Office Manager within a few minutes of the call put us on a 2-second hold and came back and said that Gina said "Yes we did the service" Not true days later I received a letter(A bill) claiming that I owed the money. Today, June 26, 2024, I went into the office and spoke with the receptionist DeShonda who went back to ask Gina about the service in question she said that Gina said they were supposed to have taken that off my service because she did not do that. Finally, the rude office manager came back from lunch and within 30 seconds started to speak loudly you owe that bill I said no I do not your receptionist had asked her Tech Gina and she told her no she did not do that service. She kept waving her hand unprofessional saying bye every time I would tell her something. I finally, said I would appeal the charges and her response was we will drop you as a patient, all she had to do rude office manager was to bring Tech Gina to the front office and ask her in front of me so I could hear her say it from her mouth that she did or didn't do the services that I am being charged for but she just refused to do so. I feel they are charging Medicare for services that were not rendered. I will also be calling them regarding this matter. I was not the only one there with a billing issue another patient was there also wanting answers to a bill.

I've been going there for years. Today I had my 6 month cleaning. I received emails and texts wanting me to verify my appointment, which I did and remind me. I show up and they can't find me in their system. Then they tell me because the person who previously did my cleaning is no longer working for them "Corporate" just cancels my appointment and doesn't tell me and do I want to reschedule!!!! I did not! ***!!!

On January 23, 2024 I went to Coast Dental, Pasadena, Fl for a filling. I was given a statement for $357.00, an estimate of insurance coverage. The disclaimer being that I would need to pay what ever the insurance did not. I was told to pay the amount at the office. With that I figured I had to file a claim with Humana dental. I called about that and was told by Humana that fillings were covered,$0 to me, and that I was not supposed to be charged. I contacted the dental office about receiving a refund, as I found out they also billed Humana and were paid by Humana as well. Humana has documentation to this. In addition to charging me for the fillings, they claim to have filled 3 teeth, and charged for 3 teeth, where I know I only has one filled. I was not “asleep” and would have known if 3 teeth where filled. It has been 6 months since this has occurred with no refund. I have made numerous calls to the office in Pasadena, called the main office in Tampa, had Humana call them and both of us spoke to the head finance person. Everyone agrees there is a refund due, but no one is doing anything about it. I always get “I need to research this and will get back to you in 48 hours”. Never happens. Every call is the same. To add insult to injury, they keep sending a bill for $70 that they say is what Humana did not cover. I have not and will not pay this bill. The finance office said I owed the bill and couldn’t proceed until it was cleared. If I pay that bill, which I won’t, then they will owe me $427. This is the worst experience of any medical facility that I have encountered. They are scam artists and very unprofessional.

I am beyond frustrated i don’t even know where to start . I had work on my mouth done in November of 2023 . Which was fine my problem is with the billing department . When I was leaving I paid whatever my insurance didn’t cover through Sunbit . Never did I know that half of my claims were denied by my insurance because they never sent the tooth number to my insurance company . I have been paying close to $100 a month through Sunbit when half of it could’ve been paid for . I don’t understand how the billing department can’t catch something like this and notify me that my insurance denied my service . When I called delta dental insurance they said it’s only because they never sent the right information over to my insurance this was in November of 2023 . Now it’s July almost of 2024 and I am just figuring out there incompetence in the billing department .

They do not provide the services they claim, nor there is no way to speak to someone directly. DO NOT purchase their so called insurance which covers absolutely nothing and when you request a refund, they ignore your requests. These people are scammers.

I would give zero stars if it was possible! On Monday I made an emergency appointment for My Son for Wednesday. His appointment to Friday he drove an hour to their office sat there for a half hour for them to tell us that the dentist is on vacation for two weeks and there are no other appointments. we had an appointment there couple of months ago for him to have a denture plate made and they would not allow him to order the denture he wanted we’re trying to push him to buy a $4000 device that was not covered by his medicaid insurance, they told us to call back the next day with our option and for two months Solid we called and we’re never able to reach a single single person in the office. We always got a voicemail that was full. I also called the corporate line 5 times to place formal complaint and was told that someone would return my call which has never happened since March! They have a captive audience with special-needs people who are forced to use Medicaid dental and they treat them like garbage and don’t care and my opinion this is complete malpractice!

On 11/27/23, I went for a teeth cleaning at Coast Dental Deltona on 1229-B Providence Blvd, in Deltona, FL 32725. I experience tremendous fear and anxiety when visiting dentists, especially since I have very sensitive teeth, gums and must be sedated when drilling or filling teeth, also using a high-pressure water jet. While I was sedated in the dental chair, unauthorized procedures were performed on me. About 3/4 through the cleaning, the hygienist brought a second form for me to sign. He stated the first form I signed was no good. From my first and on each subsequent visit to Coast Dental Deltona, I told them that I was disabled, unemployed and unable to pay for dental procedures not covered by United Healthcare. I asked them to please get authorization and inform me of the costs of any work to be done. On 3/29/24, I received an email for an outstanding balance for $355. I called the bookkeeper Crystal about the balance and asked why I received a bill, after numerous times I requested not to have any work done on me, unless they get authorization. The situation was very upsetting, and raising my blood pressure since my aunt just passed away, and 2 other aunts were near death and in hospice. Crystal said she'll resubmit the bill again to UHC insurance and see what happens. I believe the practices of Coast Dental Deltona are very deceptive and they take advantage of patients, especially when they are in vulnerable, stressful situations. I was exploited and not listened to when I continuously informed them about my medical and financial situations. Coast Dental Deltona needs to be exposed and investigated as I'm sure, I won't be the only or last patient they take advantage of or rip off.

I scheduled for myself and my 16 year old daughter to have our X-rays and cleanings, she had hers first and came out crying saying the man was so rough and please don’t make her finish and I thought she was being dramatic until he did mine and pretty much drowned me with the water and was by far the roughest and most painful dental experience I’ve ever had. Then the BILLING! This is where the biggest problem is. I signed all these papers, had to pay cash, pull out a loan, AND my dental insurance was billed. I have had to have “deep cleanings” before and had never heard of them being so expensive in the past but basically they told me that is what it is and did I want it or not. Turns out, when you are a METLIFE insurance holder they should not be billing you beyond the negotiated rates with MetLife. I’ve had to get itemized statements from both METLife and their offices and after speaking with MetLife- what they charged me is illegal, and they owe me a refund. I should never have had to take out a loan, or be charged quadruple the negotiated rate with the insurance company. So before having to file a grievance form and go through lwll thr inconveniences, I tried calling Coast and speaking to billing one last time. She was rude and kept telling me I was wrong but then said she was done speaking with me and to “have MetLife call her “ which she and I both know the insurance company isn’t going to call them. She rudely hung up on me, so now I am Having to file a grievance, and MetLife said if they don’t refund my money to me, then I should make a small claim in court. Thankfully, I have an attorney and for $50 he is going to write my letter and we will go from there. But according to my statements they over charged the negotiated rates by hundreds of dollars each for all 4 quadrants of my deep cleaning and I am owed that much money. What they did is called insurance fraud and I am going to make sure to report them to all entities involved, including the doctor.
